A life lesson
I miss the days when rappers we're unique in their own ways. Every group and individuals stood out from each other.
Now they sound like they ar mumbling
Спасибо друг ..все так и было
And that made for such great and unique collabs!
Man fr. Thats what made rap music special. Everyone had their own unique style
@@DISABEDSTAIRAMP Mumble rap sounds awful. 💩
As a metalhead I must admit: One of the best crossover songs ever!
They do rock and rap. Crossovers and good old Southern Cali touch too

Everything from the '90s is more relevant now than back in the 90's when it came out .. RAGE was spitting shit back then too.We should have been paying more attention .

This is actually a spot on song. Most rappers say they "keep it real" yet they never come out and call it how it is in the industry.
Yeah they do lol
I don't disagree but I think part of it is because modern rappers are 60% reality star, 40% rapper. These guys were musicians and entertainers. I don't think the modern guys live in the same world, metaphorically speaking.
Now there isn't an industry. The creativity has gone, it's all about selling merch. The music comes last.
Only Rakim and Nas keep it real
@@mloxton1970 this no cap. This song is literally about not doing what every rapper today has done. Selling out. Forget that nowadays it's how fast you can sell out.
Cypress Hill, Beastie Boys, Run DMC, House Of Pain

This song turned out to be great advice for me when I turned down something that looked great at this moment, but when I looked back at it years later was only empty promises and lies.
I keep to myself and I'm happy with the little I have. Gotta look over my shoulder constantly.
I think the song said that you gotta do that IF you are a superstar.
“You wanna have big fame? Lemme explain, what happens to these stars and they big brains. First they get played like all damn day, long as you sell everything’ll be okay” some of the realist shit I’ve heard in or out of a song the lyrics in this song are so spot on

@@Anonymous-Joker74 you should see what I can achieve with ink. I have loads of notebooks. At one point I was typing 90 words per minute. Pumping out art work every hour and a poem every 15 min, all while dialing 800 calls daily to sell electricity and while singing out a song and tapping beats with my free hand and feet.
I first saw Cypress Hill do this song on Mad TV live around 1999 or 2000 and LOVED IT! These guys can't be compared to any other rapper or group.
❤❤
They're truly unique. They appeal to multiple different genres of music. Pretty much no one else can say that.
Same dude
This song is good advice for anyone who finds success in anything. I dunno about others, but even though in the 90s I was mostly into metal, I was really into Crypess Hill and especially Black Sunday. They're one of those acts that crossed over, it was probably their dark stoner vibe that I dug.
This was quite a common experience. Rock/metal fans listened to Cypress Hill, Wu Tang Clan and a few others
you can't let your head too big, best to be a little humble and grateful your gifts in life. i know.
Bhai sunke Accha laga aap cypress hill sunte Ho, respek from India
this song was also good advice for all the bad drivers that tried some shenanegans this week... they heard the Cypress and closed the window :)
Right on dude! I’ll go from slipknot to cypress hill and not miss a beat.
As a teen I "liked" this song. But now I can "appreciate" it. I can absorb it on deeper levels.
That's how true music should be, always offering more layers of meaning for those who are willing to listen further.
A simple melodic progression or lyric hooks you, but then you find yourself wanting to understand more, and CH delivers.
Bla bla bla like my comment etc etc
Yeh Cyprus Hill are a real allegorical wonder😜
It’s not that deep bro

Cypress Hill hit the nail on the head with this track. If you're going to be a superstar, you have to understand that the majority of the friends you make with that status is because of your wealth, and not because they like you. Not only that, other people will look for any reason to suck money out of you.
i think a lot of celebrities should listen to this song, get some of them to shut up.
what scare me? The fact that money gives so much power. Without money you are basically no one. You have money you can promote almost anything. This is where the term fake comes up. You can pay people to do work for you. .People never get enough

Vinay Seth very true. respected
Vinay Seth alaverge pinche guey.
+Kevin Gordon How original, fatass.
Vinay Seth yes but they make sure rappers and rockers who have subversive lyrics will never reach the same height anymore. No more new cypress hills, tupacs, the doors, G n' R, and so on. The only area that still have good lyrics is the rap area, they banned good rockbands all together. Only kids who sing about how they are in pain. And how hard life is. You know what hard is ? Bumping into a speeding train ! Those fucking kids.

This song and message is so underrated
This song is a message and it’s a warning for the people who aren’t aware what’s behind the curtain of fame. You wanna live like this? There’s a lot that comes with it that we don’t talk about because we don’t want you to know.
