Nice boat and you have equipped it out very nice! You deserve it!
I’m a fan of all the little details you show!! Thanks for sharing have a great trip!
Yeah it gives me idea's of what I need for my new boat
Brother that is a sweet set up, the layout and ergonomics of everything is awesome and to have all of that glass at both the console and the bow must be a dream to use and enjoy.
Congratulations on the new ride ( sweet )
Thanks for the video! Keep'em tight
Man what a great looking rig. Good luck on the Fox.
Killer Rig! Good luck in GB!
Beautiful rig man! 😎
awesome set up
Wow that is just a beautiful set up and very happy at your success buddy + you work your ass off man👌👌👍
Ayeee I live by Green Bay I was gonna go fishing this weekend but it’s windy and cold. We are doing well on the river
Sweet setup my man.
The gpsmap vs echomap conundrum will have you bagning your head up against a wall trying to figure out which way to go. I ended up going all gpsmap models. A1222 model is probably best for livescope dedicated screen. It has the same screen quality as the 1243xsv at a fraction of the cost.
I'm running a 1243xsv, 1022 at the console, a 943xsv, 1222 at the bow and a Garmin steadycast heading sensor rigged to all graphs. All rigged on a dedicated 100ah lifepo4 with a shutoff switch. I'm still running the livescope Blackbox off dewalt lithium battery since it seems to perform better at higher voltage.
Good luck on another 30”+ walleye!
New rogue hoodie is awesome
Great video and setup! Question please, do you have both console transducers on the rear? if so does having both transducers that close to each other "Do you have any interference issues?" Do you have a picture of how you mounted yours? I have a new Bass Tracker and I am planning to mount two transducers on the rear, a Garmin GT24 for my Garmin 63cv and a GT54 for my Garmin 93sv. What are your thoughts? I plan to use my 63cv primarily for mapping but do want to go ahead and mount the transducer. Thanks for your time and GREAT Video! Robby Royal
I've upgraded boats since this video and only run one imaging transducer on the transom. But if you want to mount two, you just need to remember to keep one above the other, that way it's not blocking the other when you're using side imaging.
Good info! Any plans to get the Force on the front to tie into graphs? Would love to get your take on it if you ever switch.
If they ever come out with a 70”+ model, absolutely.
Nice boat just a couple questions. Did you purchase you trailer steps or had the custom made. Plan on buying the seelite transducer mount for livescope. i see you have it mounted on the gunwale on the boat. Did you have to buy an extension for it or did the 48 inch work. Also does the livescope running depth have to be below your boat keel in forward mode. Juist wondering what happens when rotate 90 degrees towards the boat does it interfere if you within a foot above you keel. Thanks keep the good information coming in. You have the best garmin info out there. Telling all my friends who run garmins. Your definitely a Garmin guru !!!!! thanks
-EZ Steps came with the boat
-always get the extension
-deep enough that I have no keel interfering with the picture
Can you tell me what make it is for your live scope pole and where I can buy one ?? It looks really looks good quility and like how it lays on the gunnel !! Make and model were to buy ?
Links in the description…just like I said in the video. 🙃
Great videos all around. I appreciate what you do. Just curious how the generic dewalt drill batteries worked for you. Specifically the 9ah. I've seen them in some of your videos but haven't heard you directly state your opinion of them. Thanks!
They work great for the price.
So question with all four of your graphs do you have for transducers mounted on the back of your boat how do you do that set up thanks again love the videos…
I have one GT56 at the back of the boat. All 3 Echomap units are networked and share that transducer. The GPSMap is a standalone livescope unit.
What gauge power wires did you run off your lithium battery to your 4 graphs? Did you add any additional fuses for the graphs or a dedicated power disconnect to your GLS-10? Thanks for taking the time to create videos! I have learned a lot from you regarding fishing and Garmin electronics.
The graphs at my console are powered by my starting battery, those are run with 10ga wire. The two at my bow that are powered by the lithium battery I didn’t need to add any additional wiring to. Run straight to the lithium, no additional fuses needed aside from the ones that come with the graphs.
Hey Brian, nice setup! watching the video I noticed you have what looks like a RAM mount that clamps onto the shaft of the Terrova trolling motor when it is in the stowed position. I am looking to do something like that. can you tell me what parts you used? Thx!
It’s the RAM Tough-Claw Trolling Motor Stabilizer.
Thanks! I also noticed that you don't have your Lithium battery in a waterproof box. Do you think it is necessary? Are you concerned about the battery/connections getting wet? I also see a LOT of videos where people have done a DIY lithium box with a on/off switch for the Livescope/black box as the blackbox has no on/off like the graphs do. Is there a DIY box that you are going to do or recommend? Thx
Congrats, looks great. I currently use Lowrance on the console and am not happy with the sidescan images. Thinking about swapping to Humminbird or Garmin - any thoughts on which has better sidescan? I primarily want to find brush for crappie fishing and I think I'm missing a lot on my Lowrance Elite FS unit. Thanks
That's kinda weird because I get great images on the sidescan on it's predecessor the Elite TI2. 🤔🤔
@@thedutchfisherman7078 Well, it's possible I need to dial it in more, so will try that before making any moves.
@@daved2403 on the Lowrance units there is actually not that much to dial in. Key here is; correct transducer placement and adjustment, clean straight power and no interferences on the cables. And also, the very best images you get on the HDS units because the screen resolution is higher than the TI/Ti2/FS units. But to be honest, I really love my TI2 units. Awesome bang for the buck. 👍👍❤
What is your reasoning with going with a gpsmap instead of a 126SV up front? I understand it's livescope only, just curious why you chose gpsmap over 126 ultra. I'm looking to add a second unit up front for livescope as well and would love to know
Screen resolution and the ability to screen record from the unit. Echomaps are not compatible with that feature, saves me from rigging up a second GoPro.
Great video! Can you tell me what size wire you ran from lithium batt to your units.
Whatever is coming from the units, thankfully I didn’t have to add any additional wire, it was a short run.
@@KansasAnglingExperience thank you going to try to setup my boat same way.
Absolutely awsome choice. What voltage does it run at full charge haven't watched the vid lol
13.7v
@@KansasAnglingExperience cool I run about the same with a similar battery on my sexy active target
Can you talk about the trolling motor communication with the Garmin units
There is none. Minn Kota doesn’t talk to garmin units.
Help me understand. What size lithium battery do I need for my electric I have three 7 in hummingbirds and a Garmin 94 nine inch screen with live scope. What size battery do you think
I think that the 48ah battery from Miller Tech would suit you great!
Does the stallway mount telescopic up and down to different heights? Do you still use this unit?
Absolutely! And there are two versions of it. I use the regular version, but they also make an XL version that telescopes taller. Use code KAE10 for a 10% discount!
At your lithium battery did you add a master switch that turns everything off that’s leaving the battery or did you just hook straight up to the battery from your GPS units and your black box.
No switch.
Thanks
Could you tell me what livescope pole mount you have please. I just picked up the livescope plus and a 1222 gps map monitor I want to mount. Thanks . I'm actually goin with mtech's 12v 33ah to run the black box and monitor..
SeeLite makes the pole I use. Link is in the description with discount code.
Dream boat!
Nice setup for using lithium battery for electronics. Question you said you used Dewalt batteries previously. What voltage were they? Garmin units voltage range is 9-18 volts. Most newer ones and the ones I have are 20 volts. Very concerned here to even consider using these to over 18 volts dont know if they will burn head out. I presume you had 18 volt right? Thanks
You need to remember that I used to run the black box and graph off of one battery. Splitting the voltage. If you run 20 to just the graph you’re fked.
@@KansasAnglingExperience thanks
So now that you have 3 ultra sv units did you haveto put in a GMS 10 network switch so they would all talk back and forth? Thanks I have a boat on order and just trying to make sure I have all my ducks in a row.
No, they’re all linked with 2 network cables. No need for a hub.
The smaller 93sv only has one network port but the larger units have 2 ports. So, if you are running 2 or more smaller units you will need a switch, but you don't have to buy Garmin. There are aftermarket solutions using a home network switch and a sealed container for about $100. It's trading labor at that point.
Cool I will have two 126 and two others so I will not need a switch. Thanks. What does your fishing schedule look like normally in ne dec?
@@bradbarnes9241 depends on the weather. If the water stays in the 40s I’ll be Wiper fishing until they’re done for the winter. Otherwise Crappies all winter until March. My December usually books fill by October.
I've seen active target pole setups that allow for quick detach to move to the left side vs right side of the boat. Are you double rigged like that? It didn't appear so in the video. Do you see any real reason to have a pole mount on both sides? Thanks!
Not personally. I prefer it on the right side, especially when I’m guiding customers. My black box is also on the right side compartment. Wouldn’t be convenient having the transducer cable all over the place from right to left, No reason for me to drill more holes in the gunnels.
@@KansasAnglingExperience That was basically my thought as well. I don't think it's good to walk on the cable. Are you able to see to the left under the bow?
@@jrh6869 absolutely.
Thanks, Brian, and good luck catching walleye. I wish you'd walk around a bit less and maybe put the camera on a tripod. My head is spinning from all the motion.
Hey Brian quick question if you have a v shape boat do you recommend the extension on the seelite pole?
Always.
@@KansasAnglingExperience you had a video talking about it but couldn’t find it.
@@outdoorswithjv1616 it’s on their website bud. Seeliteleds.com
Why did you not want to use the 20v dewalt batteries anymore? Would it still have worked I’m just asking because I just got an 8616 and i want to use the dewalt set up
Got tired of changing batteries and carrying 3-4 of them.
I already have the batteries that’s why I want to do this setup do you think it would not be wise to do this setup with an 8616? All I will be running is the one graph and the black box
@@blakevenable2898 not me personally. That unit will draw a shit ton of juice. I’d go with the bigger Miller Tech battery, probably no less than 40ah.
Where did you get the engine cover
From Mercury.
I need one of them fat boy steps for my trailer. Glad you upgraded to that bigger lithium battery. You'll never go back.
Do you travel with your garmin covers on?
Yup. Haven’t lost one in 7 years.
@@KansasAnglingExperience awesome thanks man. Love my stowaway mount even without the 10% discount lol
@@mikeolson7188 whenever I have time…which is very seldom
Thank You !
Shaun (mtech lithium)
You can definitely find Nemo with that setup 🍺
Found him, caught him
When’s Garmin going to give you the Force?
When they come out with a 70”+ shaft.
