This is a very difficult video to come back to. But because this video not only helped thousands of people with their install, but also made thousands more happy. Sadly, my father unexpectedly passed away on February 16th. I am so happy that this video helped so many people. Please keep our family in your thoughts.
Difficult to come back to, yes. However, what a beautiful memory to be able to come back to, to see his face, to hear his voice, and to feel that love again. My Dad was a storyteller and the comedian of my family and all I ever got on video was about a 30 second video of him telling a story, but I go back to it often to see and hear him. God bless you brother and good on you for being the son your Dad needed. ❤
Beautiful.. I'm a 65 year dad and grandfather, and I hate that when I feel joy and love I am apt to cry, so your time spent to give him such a treat was wonderful. I guess I'm not the only dad who gets choked up from joy. You did outstanding dude, and you kept it simple. Great video in many ways!!!!
I clicked on the video to see about the pole mount with no idea that you were doing this for your dad. I lost my dad in 2018 and this really struck an emotional chord with me. Quickly, my dad loved to ride his gold wing. Him and my mom went all over the US on it. I also went on several trips with them. We had a trip planned to go to Colorado but my dad got sick before we could go and once he recovered, he wouldn’t ride his bike anymore. He was worried he’d drop it and hurt my mom. So I stole his bike and had it triked for him and gave it back to him on Father’s Day. We where able to go on that trip a few weeks later and it’s one of my favorite memories. Thanks for the video and thanks for investing your time in making your dads life better. I promise you’ll never regret it! Thanks again and God bless.
I came to see how you built this. I am going to do the same on my pontoon. Left with tears on my face. I lost my dad, and fishing mentor, several years ago and this really hit home. Every time I catch a fish I talk to him as if he were there with me. Thank you for your video and I hope your pops gives you a fishing lesson using the new toy!❤
My man,!!! Well wrote a comment and then I read yours. I am soooooooo sorry about your loss. Seeing that smile and emotion on your dads face was incredible. I was just able to take my dad on a duck hunt for the first time here in Rockport TX which was always his dream. Best of luck to you and your family and keep them lines tight!!!
Not only a super father/son video but a testament to what a good friend is. Kudos to Grant and yourself. Great relationships are always two ways….Fantastic vid and super helpful
A second comment. Outstanding design, easy and well explained. Thank You!! As a word to help anyone doing this, all the weight of the transducer including pressure from water movement against the transducer set up will be depending on super glue to the PVC elbow. For some insurance, I suggest set screws and/or even a small screw and nut through the part of the elbow that is holding all the weight of the transducer. Great video. I built mine just like this. Thanks again!!
I came to this video to see the ducer pole set up, I stayed till the end to see a great father / son moment. Congrats to your dad and well done to you sir!!!
Fantastic video. Thank you. Lost my dad when I was 15 and I am 55 now. I could just imagine his reaction if I had the chance to do something like this for him...
WOW!!!! What a wonderful thing to do for your DAD. Spend as much time with him during his retirement as you can. I wish my dad was here today but he has gone to a better place. You are the man!! John
I watched this video ,, yu are so blessed to have this time with your Dad , I lost mine to cancer 9 years ago , I miss him we fished a lot ,, I put a graph on his boat , 14 years ago , Dad had same reaction ,, great Job on the install ,, wish I could do the same for my Dad today ..
Awesome video! I just surprise my husband with the Garmin Livescope System and new Garmin Fish Finder. Fishing is his #1 hobby...His face was priceless 😁
Man that is awesome. My dad is retiring June 30th. He is going today to get a new crappie boat. I wish i could afford to put livescope on his new boat..... but he just helped me put it on the bass boat we both fish out of. I cried when your Dad teared up. Awesome brother. How could anyone thumbs down this video.
This was AWESOME! I wish my father was still alive, I would have done this for him. He loved his Bass Tracker. He is the one that taught me how to fish 🐟. I will always be grateful for that 🙏
Great job guys!! I'm sure your dad is gonna love his retirement time on the boat with the new "office" setup. That was one AWESOME video. SO happy for all of you in involved.
Congratulations on retirement Bob! Brian, from a guy that can no longer hang with my dad since he passed..this made my day! Thank you for sharing and I know he will brag to all his buddies what a great son he has! Props for sure! You to Grant! #fireball
For a great Dad , I retired in September 2020 , got a new boat , guess what kind? Alumcraft plan on doing a lot of crappie fishing , I plan on getting the livescope this year , Thanks for the demo and information .👌👍😉
Awesome job, it's great that you got to share that with your dad. Not only the livescope, but you can hear his admiration of his son and your abilities as a professional!
No greater feeling that being able to give back to the people that gave us everything growing up. What an awesome feeling that must have been to be able to do that for him.
I know I'm posting well after your video went live but I had to tell ya that was a beautiful video. I've been compiling notes to buy a used fishing boat and came across your channel. My dad's birthday is next week. We lost him 10 years ago and buried him on my birthday. He and I had much in common and I spent a lot of time with him during the final years and damn glad I did it. Although we did not share the love of fishing, I got him out on a guided tour down at Truman Lake in a 70 MPH boat which was a fun ride. There is a cut off from the main channel where I knew the deepest part was a wide area between two trees that were marked with red flags at the time. Scared the heck out of dad going through. The guide loaned my dad a rod as his own was about 50 years old and a can of oil would not have freed up the reel enough to fish. You are a good son. Your buddy that helped with the install is a good friend for sure. Thank you for sharing the moment with your dad with us. It means a lot. Mark. P.S. I'm originally from Missouri and lived in the KCMO area for years, although I went to school in Johnson County Kansas as a kid. I've got a couple good Kansas jokes us from MO tease about. I brought that up because in another video I heard you get after your fishing partner on a Wisconsin trip regarding how he was holding a Walleye as if he was from Missouri. :)
That is TOTALLY amazing Brian!! My hats off to you for the great install, but that you really gave him more than any equipment!! Congrats and well done sir!
So cool to see your dads reaction to it! What a great son to do that for him! Also, I used the same ram mount on my boat so that I can swap over to an ice shuttle I made. And for the shaft I used an old trolling motor that the lower unit was shot. I just cut a 7” section of 1 1/4” pvc to put the Ram mount on and the trolling motor shaft goes in that. Haven’t used it on the boat yet so I may have to make the shaft longer. Nice thing is it’s easy to swap back and forth when ice fishing or open water (I have power cords and Ethernet cables for both, too)
I think the blue will work better in clear water the brown better in stained I’m going to tie both of them and give it a try awesome keep up the good work
What a beautiful gesture man. I wish I could take my dad even fishing. He's 86 with cancer. This was a great video to watch. I don't know what that rechargable looking battery has to do with the cable you ran. I've seen people running the power from the boat battery. This seems simpler how does it work?
That's awesome. His reaction is priceless and it let him know he raised a good man. To the two idiots that gave this video a thumbs down...You need to get a life!
Great install video, Thanks for clearing up the correct angle of transducer. Have you consider a quick change assembly to use perspective view by rotating the transducer 90 degrees. Also you rock by doing that for your dad, you could tell he was pretty surprised MR .
Great video your dad is so blessed to have a caring son like you. Can you please give me some information on the battery you are using? I’m about to have livescope hooked up on my Tracker Targa and I like the setup you used on your dad’s boat. Stay safe and have a blessed day!
This is a great tutorial. The idea for the Dewalt battery set up is a great way to go. Been planning how the install on my Ranger and running a dedicated power wire from the cranking battery will be a pain in the ass as the conduit is tiny.
Loved your setup for the battery. But what was the 12 volt battery that you used, most are now 18 or 20 volts and that might be a problem. for the unit. thanks
How did you anchor the livescope box into that front compartment? Did you need a network expander? Lots of questions, but a great video and even better retirement present for your Dad.

Thanks for all the links on how you got this done. I am dead-effing-set on no more lead acid batteries. I need to figure out how many dewalt batteries I need to get rid of the trolling motor mess I have right now. 200 lbs of bullsh*t for 50lbs thrust 😡

Sorry for your loss Bro. Your Father seemed like a great man. A quiet simple man. Reminds me of my Grandfather. 😢

So sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. Sending our condolences from Green Bay.
@@jonkeener5919 thank you. I will be up there in 27 days. He was supposed to be there with me again this year to get his 30 incher.
Sorry for your loss. This video is amazing and I’m going to use it to set up my live scope. So thank you for making it

That was so emotional there's nothing better than repaying your parents back for what they've done for you in your life.

I’m a father and I would probably react the same way for such a random, selfless act of love from my kid!
You guys are awesome doing that for your dad! Lost mine 2 years ago-he wouldve loved this.. Good job and God bless!
That was way cool! I'm 58 and close to retiring, and had tears in my eyes! What a good Son! And a good friend in Grant! God Bless you all!
🙌🏻
I watched this video ,, yu are so blessed to have this time with your Dad , I lost mine to cancer 9 years ago , I miss him we fished a lot ,, I put a graph on his boat , 14 years ago , Dad had same reaction ,, great Job on the install ,, wish I could do the same for my Dad today ..
Your best video ever! What a great thing to do for your dad. Also, great example for others to see especially in the world we live in nowadays.
Thanks so much!
Awesome video! I just surprise my husband with the Garmin Livescope System and new Garmin Fish Finder. Fishing is his #1 hobby...His face was priceless 😁
Do you have a sister thats single 🤣🤣
What a great video - not about the electronic….. about the relationship between father and son! Enjoy every moment with him.

Hard not to!
@@KansasAnglingExperience saving this video and all your links! Hoping this year I can get a Garmin Livescope after I get my new trolling motor!
Fishing brings people closer together...that's why it's such a great sport. Love the dad's reaction.
That even gave me some tears. Way to go. What a great gift, and what a great son! Very touching!

We all need to remember what our fathers went through for us!

"I'm still not gonna catch any fish..." LOL! Very cool! Great video and what a cool thing to do for him on his retirement. Well done!
Great video but an even better gesture of love by a son to his dad. Love it.
Awesome awesome video man!! Now we got to see a video of you and your dad slaying the crappie on his boat!!
You both did an awesome job. I am very moved for what you did for your dad. Bless you both.
Wow dude I need to make my kid sees this video. Your a good man your dad should be proud.
For a great Dad , I retired in September 2020 , got a new boat , guess what kind? Alumcraft plan on doing a lot of crappie fishing , I plan on getting the livescope this year , Thanks for the demo and information .👌👍😉

Very very nice video. I have two daughters I knew I should’ve had at least one son. You are a great son yes sir.
Thank you! Girl dad's are cool too!
What a really great thing you did for your dad. You are a good man Brian!
Thanks Robert
You are a good son. Bless you and your family!!

A moment that will never be forgotten.
Awesomeness,, Good Job , Good To See Anyone Doing Somethin For Their Dad , Good job On The Install As Well 🦈🎣👀
Awesome man! Love the "I'm still not going to catch fish."! He is already loving his retirement I bet!

Your a great son. That's awsome. I would hope my son does something like that for me when he gets older. 15 is his age by the way.
Awesome your doing this for your dad. Love your show!
Very nice way to show your Dad the love!!!!!
Awesome son and friend. Your dad and mom raised you right and awesome video and tips 😊
That made me tear up. I'll do anything to be able to take my dad fishing one more time
Lov your Live scope videos, i’m a pretty new fisherman but I’ve been learning a lot from your videos and your channel. Keep up the good work
Must have been an awesome feeling to do that for your dad’s retirement! I hope he leaves a few fish for you and your clients lol.
You need to do a video fishing with your dad on his boat!! It would be epic!
I just might! Going to have to help him get his settings dialed in anyway!
It’s kinda a must!
Beautiful evening. I love catching multiple species ... especially catfish on artificial baits! Give me a eater! Take care!
Great video Brian, mad respect for you! Hope your dad enjoys his retirement.
Awesome to give back to your Dad! Great video!
MOST REAL AND INFORMATIVE VIDEO I'VE EVER SEEN!! KEEP IT UP KID!!!
Great jester loved it ,wish my dad was still here ! Loved the video
That was great Brian! I've watched a lot of your videos; this is my favorite!
Excellent! I've been dinking around trying, but failing at making a mount for my livescope. The ram mount us an obvious, simplistic solution.
That was a really nice install and a mega nice thing you did for your dad.👍👍👍
Such a great video brother. What a wonderful thing to do for your old man.
I’m not crying, YOU ARE! 😩😩😩😢😢😢
That was great, you are an amazing son! I enjoyed watching the install too. Nice video.
Great video, I know your dad is happy. Hope he enjoys his retirement.
I think the blue will work better in clear water the brown better in stained I’m going to tie both of them and give it a try awesome keep up the good work
Dude, that is totally awesome! Great retirement gift!
This is so awesome your dad should love it no matter what
Congrats on the retirement Bob! Enjoy the new toy and leave some fish for those of us who still have to work. ;)
What a beautiful gesture man. I wish I could take my dad even fishing. He's 86 with cancer. This was a great video to watch. I don't know what that rechargable looking battery has to do with the cable you ran. I've seen people running the power from the boat battery. This seems simpler how does it work?
Because it's important to run heavier gauge wire to ensure the best possible voltage, which gives you a better picture.
What a cool thing to be able to do for your Dad! Great video!
Thank You always care for him. Because one day he will be gone and you will miss him.
That's awesome. His reaction is priceless and it let him know he raised a good man. To the two idiots that gave this video a thumbs down...You need to get a life!
This is pure awesome sauce right here! Love his boat!
Great install video, Thanks for clearing up the correct angle of transducer. Have you consider a quick change assembly to use perspective view by rotating the transducer 90 degrees.
Also you rock by doing that for your dad, you could tell he was pretty surprised
MR .
I don’t use perspective view
Fantastic effort for your Dad.
Dude I’m more excited than your dad lol. This was good for my soul I felt the love 👌🏽
Great video your dad is so blessed to have a caring son like you. Can you please give me some information on the battery you are using? I’m about to have livescope hooked up on my Tracker Targa and I like the setup you used on your dad’s boat. Stay safe and have a blessed day!
All of the links to everything I used is in the description!
Your a good son, good dad makes a good son !!!!
This is a great tutorial. The idea for the Dewalt battery set up is a great way to go. Been planning how the install on my Ranger and running a dedicated power wire from the cranking battery will be a pain in the ass as the conduit is tiny.
That was awesome .My sons bought me a Garmin for Christmas so they are awesome too!
That was an awesome gift for your dad
Amazing, good for you doing something like this for your dad.
Best video I’ve seen on UA-cam right here. New subscriber, love the channel!
Squirt of clear rtv in the end of the wire nut also water proofs them. Use rubber grommet around the wires through.
Bro says: “I’m still not gonna catch fish!” I feel ya buddy! I always tell folks I’m a Fisherman NOT a Catcherman! Congratulations!
Loved your setup for the battery. But what was the 12 volt battery that you used, most are now 18 or 20 volts and that might be a problem. for the unit. thanks
Awesome video ! Great thing to do for you dad. Inspiring!
How did you anchor the livescope box into that front compartment? Did you need a network expander? Lots of questions, but a great video and even better retirement present for your Dad.
No network expander needed. Affixed with 2 screws of the 4 holes available to the decking.
U rock dude doing all that for ur dad that so cool👍👍👍
Rest his soul ❤️
That’s amazing. What a great thing to do for him!
Omg!! Seven seven six, five five seven seven call us now at pizza shuttle!! Lmao!! (That was the Manhattan commercial jingle song). Thanks for the “I’m old memories!!!”
Ty for this Video. Glad your helping out your Dad, enjoy every minute you can with him. I have question on this Dewalt battery, link wouldn’t show it on Amazon, I think it’s out of stock. Can U give model of this battery?
Waitley
That was great, loved your Dad's reaction. Brought a tear to my eye.
Thanks for all the links on how you got this done. I am dead-effing-set on no more lead acid batteries. I need to figure out how many dewalt batteries I need to get rid of the trolling motor mess I have right now. 200 lbs of bullsh*t for 50lbs thrust 😡
