    Holy crap I believe you just answered literally ALL of my current questions! I have a 7" a 9" at my helm and two 10" 106's on my bow!

    That helps and answers a few questions of mine. I am going to give you a call after I think it over for a day while looking the boat over and try to come to a conclusion on what and how I want to do this. Thanks !

    Nice job breaking down the system the variations. I was hung on the dongle not knowing I needed to add that to the small network cable,

    You should have told them run the cable BEFORE you snap on the thread nut

    I have 73sv at console, 93sv at bow. Both have 54 transducers (one on transom, one on trolling motor). Question: if I network cable between them to share screens, can I select which transducer use? Meaning, can each use it's own transducer, both units show trolling motor transducer, or both show transom transducer, etc? Or, do I have to unplug one transducer when networked?

    That ethernet cable looks short? Does it come long enough to go from bow unit to helm unit with the cable that comes with the live box?

    So you can run livescope on 2 different graphs and all you need is the 1 Ethernet cable to connect them?

    Pre loaded maps will share when networked. I’m have a 106 and 102 and 102 only has base maps but when networked the 106 pre loaded maps are on my 102.

    I am in the process of swapping from Humminbird/Minn Kota over to Garmin, how does the Force Kraken trolling motor integrate into this system?

    I am flush mounting (2) 943xsvs hooked to a GMS 10. I have a navionics vision + card . What ports do the map card and the AC card have to be in so I don’t mistake my map card for the AC card ?

    Hey guys, I have two 10” Garmins, and recently got a network cable to link them. One thing that’s been happening to me though, is sometimes I can’t get Livescope to come up on my front graph. It seems like I’m getting a mirror from the console unit, which doesn’t have Livescope attached. So I have to shut both units off and turn on the front one first so I can get Livescope up. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

    If you have two 106sv etherneted together do they both have to be on or can I use the one on my bow and shut off the one on my helm?

    Does the power run into the rg45 (poe)? Or does the power needs to be set as a separate power line

    Thanks guys. Question on the mapping. I have 2 Echomap 10” units. Each have Lakevu mapping. Are you stating I need additional mapping card for sharing the maps when networking. Thanks for clarifying.

    How do you wire in a boat orientation sensor to the mix, the Garmins don't come with one and trying to square up on offshore structure is impossible without one. Can you address that issue and why aren't you educating buyers to this issue? I regret going with Garmin after installing them on my boat and heading out to my structure in the middle of the lake and finding there is no gps boat orientation sensor and you go one way and the sensor on the boat goes the other, wow was I pissed. And I'm guessing you guys are aware of this situation and why aren't you mandatorily wiring in one of those to your units? What say you on the subject?

    what if you have 3 ultra 10's and live scope do you need the gms10? or can you go 10 to 10 to 10, then one livescope to a 10?

    How do you get the maps to transfer over, is there something in the settings I have to change? I have a 73cv with an Inland lake map card and a 94sv with the Coastal and Great Lakes map file uploaded directly to it's memory. When hooked together via network cable, I can't see the inland lakes on the 9" and can't see the great lakes on the 7". Any help is appreciated.

    What if I want to select different transducers for each unit? How do I name those transducers so that I know which is which?

    • @garyhowardman
      @garyhowardman 3 місяці тому +2

      @@treybrunson3166 Somewhere in the sonar settings, Sonar Setup, I think, is a menu that lists the transducers. There's the "Built In" one and the other transducer. You can select which one. Not sure how to rename them though.

      Just saw a utube video on it..double t fishing I think..yes you have to change it in settings. Use only 1 at a time. It can cause interference

    • @garyhowardman
      @garyhowardman 2 місяці тому

      For what it's worth here, I ended up discovering that my head unit's sonar software was bad. That would explain why I couldn't select the sonar from the other transducer. Garmin sent me a new head unit and all is well. I suspect I should be able to select which transducer I want to use next time I connect the network cable.

    The new Garmin 9” will connect wirelessly. If you add a 3rd unit can it be connected to one through the Ethernet port and the two 9” still wirelessly talk. So I am thinking if you connect 3 9” units, can two that are next to each other be hard wired and then one of those wirelessly connects to the other unit that is at the bow if the other 2 are on the console?

    • @RussellMarineProductsLLC

      No. The ECHOMAP Ultra 2 units have a wireless networking capability but that will not share livescope. None of the other units have this feature

    • @jimmydollar

      The answer is YES you can. I have the same setup and waypoints are shared on both units and I don't have a map card in either. You just cannot share maps without a card.
