For those wishing to be negative, this was never a demo video, it was simply a quick video to show the condition and that it was fully functioning for sale on eBay... like all my other videos.

I had this machine in the '70s. Grundig actually made an accessory for it - a small amplifier and earpiece to monitor one track whilst recording the other, but the output was faint, and there was no way to balance track volumes other than trial and error on recording levels. A nice machine for general amateur use in its time.

Hey man! I have the same, brought from the street market. Everything went ok till i swap to BW. The Play Stop/BW/FW knob just blocked on BackW. Position . 😢. I tried more non-evazive things (without open inside) but doesn't work. You have something in your mind what could be? Thank you!!
    Anyway, that's a beauty 😍.

I was pointing out that this machine could record sound on sound in the same way as the later Akai 4000. I also had the Akai.

the Akai 4000 has nothing to do with this machine, (both are fantastic though) this machine has tubes, the Akai doesn't.

i use to have one like your machine, many years ago. now i'm lucky to own a TK145 de luxe from 1967, it works perfect.
but to be honest, the 141 has even better sound quality.

Claudio Salvatore yes, but the TK141 in 1969 along with the tk 247 family were already solid state machines.

totally agree! also i still wonder how after all those years the snares of my grundig are still working, the machine winds up the tape back and forward. back in the days, they made products to last, especially in Germany:-)

Grundig´s was worst tape recorder. Mostly specialist function ,but very bad,
concerning technics parametres. Last model 999 reached on 19 speed 16 000 Hz.
Had possibility to get it from my friend free of charge. No want it.
