I feel like I'm in my parents and grandparents house who also had a German console unit and German grandfather clock. The chimes on your grandfather clock sound exactly like theirs. They got theirs in Germany in the early 1960s from a farmer's barn outlet.

The Andrews Sisters mispronounced "schön", saying it as "Shane". The 'ö' (two dots above letter is an Umlaut) had to take the same sound as the 'o' in "work".
@@Mediawatcher2023 Drop the 'e' on the end and whack in a 'c' between the 's' and 'h', then drop in two dots above the 'o'(an umlaut), and you'll have the word you were looking for. Minus the umlaut the word would mean "already" in English.
