Hello, i am from Argentina, i have the powerpuff girls guitar, I won it in a contest that the "cablevision" company did, here is one of the largest cable TV and internet providers in the country ... I won it in 2002, I just had to cut a coupon that came in the magazine of the company and send it ... I must be the only person in Argentina who has it, it is beautiful and it takes all eyes when I remove it from the case. I think it was the universe giving me the signal that I was going to end up dedicating myself to music when I grew up. It makes me very happy to see a complete review on youtube. Greetings from Buenos Aires!!!
A few years ago, my band's keyboardist/rhythm guitarist brought in his then-girlfriend/now-wife as an "assistant" to run the sampler pads and do some simple keyboard parts (she wasn't very experienced as far as music goes). Over the past couple of years, she's become a valuable backing vocalist, keyboardist (she plays keytar), and has started playing guitar with us. She uses a hot pink single cut Daisy Rock that's been hotrodded to be a quality guitar (Duncans with CTS pots and Grover tuners). So yeah, Daisy Rock makes some quality stuff for the price point :) Her with her silver sparkle Korg keytar and hot pink sparkle Daisy Rock really stands out against our bassist's worn Ibanez walnut bass, my checked up black '85 Explorer, and our other guitarist's '89 Ice Blue HM Strat :)
I'm not into Schecter guitars but I was thinking the same . Minus the silly cartoon head , I could imagine Synyster Gates from Avenged Sevenfold playing it 👍
Really dig Schecters. My 1st electric IS a Daisy Rock "Retro-H De-Luxe." Duncan (designed) mini-hums w/genuine Bigsby. A Rockabilly tone-monster. 'Girl-guitar' my-455 ;-)
Powerpuff Girls was my favorite show as a kid, and I remember catching that special Cartoon Cartoon event back in the day! I remember seeing the commercial for this guitar and I begged my folks for one. They tried to call in to order, but we called too late and the promo was over. I almost thought it was a fever dream because I never saw it elsewhere online...until now. Thank you for documenting and showcasing these guitars. This show brings so much nostalgia and happiness to me, and I hope I can find listings for these one day.
I've had and sold multiple daisy rock guitars, and most (electric) ones are pretty good for beginners or even a bit higher But the daisy rock Japanese are the best! Btw. Thanks for using my daisy rock supernova picture off ebay!
I used to like les pauls but when I saw this Immediately threw my 59 burst into the trash and bought this. Went on to play smoke on the water all day long
FYI Tiss Ciravolo is the wife of Michael Ciravolo who is the current president of Schecter guitar, thus the reason why Daisy Rock is manufactured under Schecter.
I was working in College Radio when the Powerpuff Girls CD came out... made for some interesting listening if one of the DJ’s mixed in some of the songs among their usual stuff.
The REAL story of how these guitars were created is that the Schecter factory in Townsville accidentally spilled "Chemical X" into the guitar paint during an experiment and a whole line of little crime fighting guitars was created! I loved this vid, my daughter loved PPG, we used to play the board game together 😁
2:08 imagine doing a setup for a 7 string Floyd rose equipped neck through design metal machine and when you finish doing a setup to a heart shaped guitar
I wish I had known about this sooner. There was one in my local record store for just $130. Man I should have grabbed it knowing how rare it is. It was gone quick
WHY IS THIS ONE OF THE BEST PLAYING VIDEOS EVER!!?!?!? You can see the digital stripe of a quartersawn or rift sawn neck right where you pointed at flame.. To the neck. EMG might have been a good call. SD FULL SHRED in white on that PUFF and that pot is likely an ALPHA B500K.. Just putting a push pull series parallel and hacking that pickups wiring would work. Actually. It sounds fine.
God, if I'd only known!!! :( In or about 2004 I went to Music and Arts to look around because being owned by Guitar Center they often have so really good deals on mid priced gear that Guitar Center moved to make room for more current stock. I'd never seen a Daisy Rock before, but there, for a whopping $130.00 was a brand new Power Puff Heart guitar!!! I almost bought it for my niece, but spent all my cash on a nice Ibanez Artcore ES 335 style guitar, and a amp. Oh how I wish I'd bought it and hung it on the wall, I'd be halfway to a new Les Paul. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20!!! Now show us some beautiful Gibson s Austin. That's why you started the channel to document all the Gibson's you could get your hands on. I would love to see a '71 ES 335 TD in Walnut, with a trapeze tailpiece, I had a mint condition one that was stolen in 1998. I do have a rather unique guitar I'd let you document. It's only a 2011 50th Anniversary SG Special Pete Townshend signature in Alpine white, but in 2011, Gibson told me only 800 we're made. And this one has been kept in the case, unplayed since leaving Sam Ash, so it looks exactly as it did the day I bought it, and has the best sounding P90's I've heard from Gibson since ones made in the 60's. Let me know if you'd like to document a truly mint condition guitar. Peace, Keith
Sorry Trogly, I couldn't help myself but laugh thru out the demo when you were playing the pink guitar with high gain. I watch this channel for the unique guitars. These are 2 unique guitars!
Maybe that loose one in the 'Heartbreaker' was the ground wire?! Hence all that background noise despite it having a humbucker. Still, it sounds way better than I'd expected! :-))
It's so sad that pretty much no listings can be found, I love Daisy rock guitars and was a great fan of original PPG in childhood:( Loved Mojo Jojo guitar, sounds better than Heartbreaker, IMHO
The Daisy Rock Bangles signature guitar is really awesome. They used to have a 12 string variant as well. the pickup sare decent, but all around decent guitars and great mod platforms
If you do get a chance to try out one of the double cut Daisy Rocks, do it. They're actually really nice guitars. They play great, sound good, and even have a coil split. They are MUCH higher quality than the short scale Daisy Rocks.
I love your show i was able to make a good decision on a guitar purchase because of your reviews .and to the people out there no i didnt buy a power puff guitar.
A few months back on Andertons, Lee did some videos of his guitar collection and went into detail about Daisy Rock. From what he was saying he had a big hand in helping start up Daisy Rock and distributing for Europe, and the tie in with Schecter is that at the time ( and maybe still currently ) the woman who started it was actually the wife of the CEO of Schecter. Honestly kinda a bizzare story
I think you should maybe pickup a Fame guitar. They're basically PRS double cut guitars that are way better than the lower tier PRS ones for $1000. The guitars are made in the Czhech Republic so the build quality is amazing. They also have some really good specs for a guitar at that price point and they look and feel great!
I feel like you could make a more masculine version of the heartbreaker and it would sell, things like having a longer then normal scale length or fan fret, 7 string and active pickups with broken heart inlays with a more realistic heart with quilted maple in a nice blood red with things like LED’s being the arteries. It would be really cool to see some make that
I went to the Burbank C N studio and the Creator of the PP girls had the first Mojo JoJo. And I walked into his office and asked him about it, he never played guitar! I picked it up and was the first one to ever tune it. Out of all the people that held it they were scared to ask him if they could play it... He was just a normal guy in a studio full of wanta be freaks.
I like how you said, "as the generation of people who actually grew up with these shows start to get disposable income..." That show is 22 years old, and even at your youngest, the demographic for the Powerpuff Girls would still be 5+ years. So, you're telling me, it's not expected until well after 30+ years old to have expendable income... Now I'm even more sad because I am over 30 years old :(

The idea of trogly just one day stopping in the middle of a review to review an entire animated series is hilarious to me

He did it he actually did it. What a mad man
That's a Schecter headstock on the Mojo Jojo
I'm not into Schecter guitars but I was thinking the same . Minus the silly cartoon head , I could imagine Synyster Gates from Avenged Sevenfold playing it 👍

Was about to point that out. also the body shape reminds me of a Synyster Gate shape

Thanks for doing this show...was a pleasure to sell you those guitars and I have no regrets parting with them :)
Some say the '59 Burst is Gibson's Powerpuff Girls heart guitar. 2:20.
Powerpuff girl guitar > Tony Iommi guitar

Glad I have held onto Mojo Jojo over the last 16 years. Will definitely be keeping it in the family.
Likewise! We are among the few!
Imagine James hetfield walking on stage with one of these
O .G that would be crazy
That would be funny as fuck
I'ma have to vote Dave Mustaine here. just because now he looks like a nordic metal grandpa god
Or Abbath Mabye 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for going out on a limb for us with these.
A real change for sure, very cool and thank you.
The Powerpuff Girls guitar needs to be outfitted with a Dimebucker and an Evertune bridge, played through a Randall Satan.
And make Ola play it...
@agufish has entered the chat
That is 100% the hottest guitar I have ever seen.
Which one? The Mojo Joe & that Butterfly 🦋 one is bitchin! 💪
I used to like les pauls but when I saw this Immediately threw my 59 burst into the trash and bought this. Went on to play smoke on the water all day long
Artie VanDelayo both
I love it that you actually played the appropriate song.
Ah the memories 😍
Those were some pretty intense riffs on the pink guitar! The mojo jojo is actually pretty cool looking. Great video as usual!
My daughters watched that show, would rock the mojo jojo for giggles LOL

Finally, ive been waiting months for this.
Super happy you made a video on this, trying to copy the mojo one to make a bass and seeing it in depth helps
I wish I had known about this sooner. There was one in my local record store for just $130. Man I should have grabbed it knowing how rare it is. It was gone quick
I've seen the same PPG guitar at a local pawn this Spring. Headed back tomorrow!

They should have made a Johnny Bravo one
I can see it now
