Prime Torres was just frightening. He easily made both Vidic & Ferdinand turned into Jones & Magguire.
i remember watching this live. never seen rio and vida be so outplayed. the highlights don't really show what torres did to them. he tormented them
Потому что на самом деле они такими и были
As a United fan I agree even if Vidic had an off game they all struggled against prime Torres he was just as good as Suarez.
😂😂😂😂😂
Never a pen
No one was able to touch prime Torres . Amazing player and a role model . Haunted vidic in his dreams
Vidic won the league that year torres won nothing, 3 goals in 15 games😂😂onlt thing he tormented was the liverpool manager😂😂😂
@@laughingatyou2232 he had a shit team. If he played for the bigger teams he would have better stats and probably wouldn’t of gotten injured
Missed this EPL era.. when Big 4 have their prime line up. Torres, rooney, drogba, adebayor.. truly missed em all😭😭😭😭
Van persie
The best period in his career I’d wager . He was sensational for us . Himself a threat but with Stevie G behind him simply outstanding.
You mean Stevie G, Alonso and Mascherano?
Yeah quite the mid.
@@timkc1638 no I meant Stevie , yes a terrific mid
agreed mate
@@backpackingireland8624Wq
That’s the case for a lot of players, their best years being only at Liverpool.
Torres was probably the best in his position at the time
Yes he was
😂😂 what you say 😂cr7 he best ❤
I don't know Torres change position after this
Probably...no he was
@@marwanshp_7CR7 and Torres we're not of same positions. Both were best in their positions at the time.
One of my all-time favourite matches. Torres and Gerrard were electric that day.
Even tho united won the league that season and made it number 18 to equal liverpools record then?😂😂😂
@@laughingatyou2232such a kid
@@laughingatyou2232All he said was that it was one of his favourite matches. 😂
Gerard not even one EPL disgrace
Ferguson 😮😮
To be such a threat to that famous united defence line... you have to be a world class striker... EL Nino... still my fav player of all time
Hes mine as well what a player
He was until ...Suarez
@@samclifford1268I am confused between him and Suarez. Now Salah came in
@ehismichael6917 salah doesn't come anywhere near both of them, skill wise.
Would still take Torress/suarez anyday of the week, twice on Sundays.
@@antonioatwhole7087 I like Torres and Saurez so much but in terms of goals Salah has scored more Liverpool
whatta player Torres was🔥🔥absolute beast!!
And then he went to Chelski.
Torres had a period where he couldnt score a goal for a long time, never happened with Penaldo
Torres and Gerrard... the best duo in premier league history. I still remember the day when my dad got me a Liverpool shirt when I was a kid and I loved it. He told me a lot about Premier League and Liverpool and so on and I was fascinated. He told me about Torres and Gerrard and those were his favourite players. Since then I got hooked into it. The Fernando Torres are was one of the best in premier league history. He was a magician. A liverpool Legend and one of the best players to ever play in the golden era of Premier League. Also Gerrard, The captain and the heart of the club... These guys made an amazing history.
To me Gerrard & Xabi
Kane & Son. Were Just stuck in a joke of a team!
Bit of a stretch that
🤥🤥🤥🤥🤡
The most handsome & fearsome forward. And a humble Atletico guy. Absolute heartthrob
The archetypal baby faced assassin. Untouchable in his day
Fernando torres those days was one terrifying striker absolutely unstoppable back then with Gerrard
This version of Torres was terrifying
Fernando Torres at his prime the best 9
He was at his absolute best El Niño in a Liverpool shirt, What a signing he was 🤯
I became Liverpool fan only because of Gerrard n Torres since 2005! 😍😍😍
Torres wasn’t there in 2005
Lol ha ha
Torres joined in 2007 dude.
@@na-ow4oc Didn't u notice the Captain's name Gerrard? 😂
lol noob
Torres absolute domination.
United in the league that season: total domination
@@laughingatyou2232 Dominating United that season: Got thrashed by Liverpool at their own stadium (Nothing new there)
Prime Torres and Gerrard into the current team would catapult us into favourites for EPL champions 😊
Vidic still probably wakes up some nights in a cold sweat thinking about El Nino
No he thinks about the prem title he won that season 😂😂😂😂😂torres 3 in 15 against vidic, making stories up is not good for your health bro😂😂😂
Got to be one of the most overrated players of all time. Nostalgia merchants will say otherwise but his peak only lasted a few years and if he made mistakes like that nowadays he would be destroyed online
Torres iconic 🚀✨
torres leaving liverpool was the worst thing he ever did
Dossena had the best week of his life bagged in a 4-0 against Madrid then a 4-1 against utd 😭😭
And then lost the league to united😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@laughingatyou2232You keep spamming in all these comments.
Shows how much their living rent free in your head even decades later 😂
My favourite player🎉
I became Liverpool & Spain fan only because of this legend 🔥🔥🔥
Later he went to Chelsea, is a worst selection but me became a chelsea fan...
Till now CFC fan 💙💙💙, blues Liverpool is my 2nd team. Szobozlai will become another Gerrard soon.
♥️♥️♥️ Red still remains in my blood.
Blues for ever
This was the era when Man Utd had everyone on their side. Sky, FA, refs and media.
Prime Torres 🔥 🥵
Both some of the greatest players players on the planet. Thankyou lads. We love you all.
Sami Hyypia, what a player
I love El Niño but it’s wasn’t only him it was the whole team effort.
Yes Torres is a team player unlike Penaldo who is selfish and tries to claim goals that aren’t even his 😆
@@Zenaido19Who is Penaldo ? I only know Ronaldo cauz "Penaldo" didn’t exist
Torres was playing alongside a prime Stevee G, it helps . Now Suarez made things happen himself
big difference when someone's not feeding ronaldo for tap ins , just shows the player he really is
Ronaldo won league that season and scored 42 goals😂😂torres won nothing and left for chelsea😂😂😂😂
@@laughingatyou2232where’s penaldo’s World Cup? Torres 1 ronaldo 0 game over 😭
Imagine Fernando in today's team ❤
Suarez Torres and Salah could you imagine
Not really.
40 goals every year with this defence like today.
🤌 love that from Torres on the thumbnail.
As a gooner I loved Torres. First saw him as a young skinhead at Athletico with a rocket 25 yarder goal. Smooth fast brave.
Fernando Torres at Liverpool was unstoppable
One of the two great Liverpool sides of the last 30 years who didn’t win the title. The other was 13/14 Suarez inspired. SG at the helm in both. They didn’t just win matches they played great football.
Average team. Way behind united that year. Liverpool raising their game for united was expected, we was gonna equal their record that year, they still failed 😂😂😂
Prime torres he amazing
Gerrard could really play any position on the pitch. Ultimate midfielder
Imagine if Klopp managed this team 🔥🔥🔥
What a time what a superstar
Torres was a beast
As per me, Torres at his prime was better than suarez and salah in their prime. Torres was a nightmare to best defenders like vidic, Ferdinand, Terry, cannavaro, puyol etc and he was good in air too.
He wasn't. Suarez was another level easy
@@darrenmcdonald6182 I never saw Suarez destroying real, Man u, city etc in Liverpool colours but has seen Torres destroying them......
@sreyasa9327 well you never watched him then 🤷♂️ even gerrard our captain says suarez 🤷♂️ I never seen torres hit over 30 goals in the Premier league 🤷♂️ did you? In a worse team also. You haven't got a clue. You are not from here and never watched them live at Liverpool. You've watched some clips on UA-cam.
@@darrenmcdonald6182 why should I agree with you. And you didn't answer my question. Did Suarez humbled big clubs when he was playing in Liverpool similar to what Torres use to do to real, Chelsea, man u, Arsenal etc ???????
@sreyasa9327 yes he did as I said in reply. Again you are not from here, you are from half way across the world watching UA-cam clips. Why should I believe you? I watched them week in week out. Suarez is as good as anyone to put on a shirt for us. You're a youtube idiot from thousands of miles away 🤷♂️
Torres is inhuman with his football abilities. Dude has natural talent and skill for years. Such an incredible striker. Despite supporting Man Utd this was one of the most epic matches ever simply because the pace was incredible. Ferguson making major mistakes by throwing Berbatov under the bus and benching him as usual for no good reason. Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo didn't do shit in the forward line. They were no threat. Park got given a free penalty. Embarrassing to watch this. Awful from Man Utd. I will always be haunted by this but congrats to Liverpool for a spectacular performance. Vidic had a horror match. Torres clowned him over and over again.
We Owned Utd that day, no question
And at Old Trafford too. 👍
One thing I notice a lot watching man utd highlights, is that Rooney makes a hell of a lot of mistakes, gives the ball away a lot, rarely beats a man 1 on 1 - but never gets called out by the commentators, I wonder if there are some players that pundits are told to promote for shirt sales, game sales etc. for me berbatov was the superior player.
@@nolanloggenbergand we went on to win the league and equal liverpools record😂😂😂you could’nt even win it for the boys hahha, small clubs raising their game for united thats what liverpool do😂😂😂😂
I'll neva forget stevie and torres in my life
Nowadays we stick 7 past them 😂
But don’t make the top 4 💀
Oh one of them popped there head out after so many years hi there nice to see you 🤣🤣🤣 top 3 getting hiding like a league one team 🤣
Disgraceful that's the highlight of your season 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@traejamesnaidu3923you know what’s disgraceful
@@thomasward9964lool and Man U will go out in the group stage/ quarters so what’s even the point? 😂😂 back in europa alongside us too
Fernando was unbelievable in that 1st season especially WOW,was a shame he got injured
Out of the many strikers we have seen Torres is jst special 🌟
Torres was class at LFC. Just class, like Suarez.
But didn't click at Chelsea. His initial goal drought and being dropped as Drogba was favoured wrecked his confidence. The contrast with Liverpool suggests that Chelsea players/manager were to blame.
Suarez was a good player but was a typical South American...no idea about the way the world works.
@@danieldon2594 Good with the teeth though...
This game in my memory was we completely demolished them , but damn we was on the back foot for majority of the game ! Big and memorable win tho!
Torres at his peak was absolutely amazing. Was sad to see him leave. Always great to look back at a game where we travelled to Old Trafford and gave the Mancs a flogging
Remember Torres came in an era of prime Vidic, Rio, and Terry..and yet he didnt disappoint
Two giants at play. Get well soon Edwin
This was the prime of the premier league. Hard nosed classic!
Época boa...
Torres ❤
this era of English Premier League Football will never be matched again
Torres what a player, I passed his house often in Woolton Liverpool.
The Golden Boy. He was magnificent
Torres ❤️❤️❤️❤️💋
What made this event event more significant was it was against a Man U squad comprising of Tevez, Giggs, CR7, Rooney, Berbatov, Evra, Park Si Jung, Carrick, Rio, Vidic who are miles ahead of the ManU teams of 21'-23', post-SAF era
Was a fantastic player pure class
Still remember Torres doing the 5. Legend.
Torres❤
Torres was absolutely the best striker from 2007 - 2009. He could've also become a certified all-time great afterwards if hadn't decided to have that surgery while injured in 2010 to participate at that World Cup. Basically, he swapped the rest of his career for the World Cup trophy. Too bad.
I don't think anyone could blame him though. Have a big push to finish with the World Cup, or bide his time and hope he got back to his peak while Spain were still strong but not strong enough to replace him. He had money, and Atletico was a good backup.
Torres ball control was like Messi. He added it with pace.
Simply Glorious
Brings back memories... ❤
Mega edit though, great job!
Torres said hold my beer when them mancs scored that pen
United said hold my beer when liverpool thought they could win title that season 😂😂😂
I was happy to see Torres destroy Vidic even as a Chelsea fan then.
I was even happier to see vidic lift the title that season😂😂😂
THAT ......WAS A GREAT GAME ! ✅💯
torres did way better at dribbling than ronaldo in this match
The days before City domination!!!!
Reading all those player's names that involved in this video, you know this was legendary match!
Fergies face priceless
He won the league that season, im sure he was fine. Keep coping 20 years later tho while he tortures you 😂😂😂
Master of Comeback💥
The pictures in the video are an amazing touch
Torres literally on his day could out play everyone,
I cried when I watched this matc
i love how you pause with amazing images.
Craziest thing is that torres still to this day is the biggest name we have ever signed
Everybody else like suarez etc became world beaters at liverpool...torres was a world beater before we signed him
Torres 👑
lovely absolutely lovely to see, now football is all about coaches, no creativity from the players like the old days. seeing the young CR7 melts my heart and makes me feel old as well
Watching vidic against torres is like watching maguire against salah. And utd fans say he was the best center back in the prem 😂
3 goals in 15 lol this was just a bad game for vidic. He won the title that season while that bum torres won nothing 😂😂😂😂keep crying and coping and watching games from 2008 where you lost the title😂😂😂
"He just got past Rio as if he wasn't there" sums it up
Warra league title for penando porres😂😂😂😀
Vidic and Rio apparently went into the witness protection program after playing against Torres and Gerrard... they feared for their lives
They came back out at the end of the season to lift the prem trophy while torres and liverpool was crying 😂😂😂😂😂
@@laughingatyou2232 yeah.. looking over their shoulders ...just incase Torres was anywhere near them..... Battered
That Man United side was a thorn in the flesh they were brilliant, intimidating, and crushed teams at will. Beating them 4-1 felt so good
Lucky game. United still won league that season. Liverpool raised game cos united was matching their record that season😂😂😂
Having been a United fan for 14 years, now I can say that we've lost our identity, look at that speed, even we lost
Im a gunner and I loved LIVERPOOL GAMES AT OT,I was so happy that day
Really miss this days 😢
Dossena😂! ❤
We work hard till the end Liverpool for life
That picture tells a story. One with one of the best football careers ever and the other.. well
Torres was a beast at Liverpool really glad he left
Love the slow motion images after the goal
Chào bạn bỗng đá hay quá bạn cũng chia sẻ video nhé bạn 👍😍♥️🔔🔔
The good all days man I miss this man utd
only torres could rival ronaldo goals at that time.
Prime Rooney, Ronaldo, Gerrard & Torres. Andy Gray on commentary. Derby game. Goals. Rivalry.
This was prime shit lads. What a time to be alive 👌🏻
i remember this game
Nice edit, especially on the Nando goal. 👌
What a defender Sami Hyypia was
What an performance from Liverpool, great game. Liverpool could have won the league title during that season unfortunately due to their inconsistent in the end. We had a very good squad
