I'm warned that the manifold exhaust pipe bolts are a PIA to remove. They snap off when old.

@@terry5373 They more than likely will. You'll probably have to drill them out and put in new bolts and nuts. Not too hard of a procedure

Why not use an angle grinder? Also, how’s the noise in comparison to before (or was it just more of a smell as mentioned in the end)?

For this pipe there's really no good way to get a clean cut with an angle grinder. Even some spaces near the flex pipe are too tight for a Dremel. Reciprocating saw would be the way to go very carefully. Noise is a bit louder since Honda uses 2 pipes, one smaller diameter pipe that starts near the flex pipe and goes all the way through probably for noise dampening. This flex pipe section has two pipes, one smaller tube inside the actual exhaust flex pipe area. The smell is completely gone though!
