My dream Lexus LS460: From Auction to Redemption - A Journey of Restoration: Part 1

- I've always wanted a Lexus LS460, but could never afford it. So I scavenged together all the money that I could quickly get my hands on and won a 2009 Lexus LS460 from the auction. It's pretty far from mint condition but with the right love and care, it'll be cherished by me for decades to come (assuming air suspension doesn't go out).

When I sold Bmers and had a client looking at a 7 series tell me they wanted a dependable car for the money they were spending id tell them to get a Lexus.
Exactly! There isn't anything overly dependable in a BMW especially with the 7 series.
nice montage quality, keep improving it. Congrats with your purchase, that’s really amazing
Thank you!
Sorry if I missed it, but what auction site is that and good experience? Great video..well made
Thank you. The auction site is Copart. I have used them numerous times in the past and have been mostly satisfied with them. Some auction cars are a good buy and some are a terrible buy.
Nice video bro
Thank you!
Bro, you doing good videos. Please reduce background music volume next time. Awesome purchase, so congrats 🍾 bro
Thank you
The only thing holding me back from getting one here in Canada is the fuel consumption. I don't care how smooth and reliable the LS460 is, 20-21MPG is unacceptable for 2024 standards. I wish they had a V6 or some sort of technology to turn-off 4 cylinders out of 8.
The newer LS500 is a V6 that's turbocharged. Fuel economy isn't the best but much better compared to the competition like an Audi A8, BMW 7 series, of the Mercedes S550. There are reports of people who can reliable get 27-30 mpg with the LS460 when cruising on the highway. Luxury isn't cheap unfortunately.
How did you fix the driver door panel ?
@@fixingproblems3183 I used leather filler to fill in the holes, sanded it flat, and applied leather paint to it. The repair is pretty obvious but won't be ripping more or getting worse
