I have a bad habit of taking mix courses. :) I'm actually looking forward to yours! I dig your presentation style and based on this video, I think our mixing styles line up well.
You can execute the "clip to zero" strategy very affectively with the logic stock bitcrusher. If you work in genres that have a 4-6 lufs target this a game changer. Logic stock is incredible if you know what you're doing.
Wow. This is great. For an amateur like myself I get totally lost in all these subtle changes. Have a model to start from along with the rationale for why you are doing it is so helpful. Thank you.
Changed my mixbus to use the stock Logic compressor after your video the other day. Never thought I’d get off my SSL emulation but the stock comp was WAY better. But…. For those of us not yet on Logic 11, what would we use instead of Chromaglow? Something like decapitator? Or is that too aggressive? Currently I’ve got the Ampex 102 tape emulation on, which is very nice - but only once. Never occurred to me to use two saturators!
It should be illegal to have a last name be so close to Gangsta and that NOT be like every social media hand you have:). No but really tho I do enjoy your tutorials Mr Gangsta.
At last, someone who shows specifically what he does and how, and explains why each time. Easy to copy, thank you very much!
Your channel is such a hidden gem. It deserves to be not-so-hidden, can’t wait.
Thanks so much! I'm glad you're enjoying the channel!
