That was absolutely wonderful! It must be amazing to play the music you love infront of so many people and with an orchestra! I have my own share of live concert experience but on a much smaller scale than this. Happy for you man! Keep up the amazing content !

I have a wonderfull 1970 version of John's Passion by Benjamin Britten where the text is translated to english!! Are there other versions like this? it seems very uncommon...I love this particular aria very much.

Sometimes I wonder why they bother with a theorbo and viol if they're going to use valved, modern woodwinds and steel strung strings.
Brandon, I'm wondering, do you think they would have originally used an archlute in viel ton?
I would have expected a Baroque lute or German d-minor theorbo here.
Were there still many Germans playing lutes in the old tuning in Bach's time?
Or maybe you're just working with what you have?
We don't really know.
Many speculate that a gallichone in D is the right instrument and others think sometype of dm instrument.
Lute needs a mic.
Did they have those in the baroque period? 😜
