My kid can be absolutely out of his gourd, screaming, kicking, crying. I turn this on and he just melts into a puddle of acquiescent goo. God bless you John Oeth!!
@@randymouser3816 Agree to disagree. Someone can be a casual guitar player and find this impressive, yet they wouldn't understand how actually hard it is because it has many steps they are not familiar with such as arrangement design, fingerpicking bass + melody, flawless tempo. Honestly same concept applies to any skill. Olympic athletes regularly make extremely difficult tasks seem easy to their audience.
Wow I have never heard this video, and it just popped up after listening to video game music, within 20 seconds I said, "Hey its John Oeth" and I was right. Very unique sound! Thanks for all you do.
Hi John! Just wanted to pop in to say that I recently played Chrono Trigger for the first time! What a game! And a large part of the reason I wanted to play it was because of all of the amazing covers I've heard of its music on UA-cam, most notably yours. I think I love your take on the Millenium Fair theme the most, but Peaceful Days is great too, and many others! Thanks for the inspiration!
That's awesome! It is such a timeless game that I played when I first started learning music. Mitsuda's music has a foothold on me to this day. Much love!
You are a master of video game guitar covers. You play so many songs from different games and genres, and they all sound beautiful and relaxing. I especially love your renditions of Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Baldur's Gate themes. You captures the essence and emotion of each game with his skillful and expressive playing. This is the perfect album to listen to while studying, working, or just chilling. Thank you, John, for sharing your talent and passion with us. You are an inspiration to all video game fans and guitarists. 👏👏👏

Love your work ! Thank you for hours of peaceful and nostalgic music, I've been listening to you almost every day for years now and I don't show my appreciation enough
@@JohnOethGuitar the more I listen to your videos the more I understand the depth and subtitles. It is so multi layered. It makes me want to learn how to play like you!
Guitar songs are soothing, relaxing and, at the same time, help concentration. I can't imagine how beautiful it would be to hear you playing Xenoblade 1, 2 and 3 music!
Lots of great pieces in this, but your cover of Fragments of Forever and Twilight Over Thanalan blow me away, despite only starting the game during Shadowbringers, those original game pieces are my favorites.
So sick. You sir are the sickness that I want to get down with... that really didn't come out right at all. 🤔 Great work on this volume. They're always arranged with precision and artistry. A fantastic listening experience is expected whenever I pull up your music and it has yet to disappoint.
Fabulous mix of songs. Looking forward to having a new video to use for background music in my classroom lol. Thanks for including Mallow's lamenting theme. Our poor boy is not a tadpole.
this is some amazing stuff, as a guitarist myself your videos/covers have served as a great source of inspiration for me for many years now. keep up the great work!♥
Oooh, caught a new video just a few hours after it being uploaded... what a great way to start a work morning! ;D Still on "Sheik's theme" but loved everything so far, looking forward to the rest!! And on top of the fantastic performances, I just love the backgrounds you have - so peaceful!
After seeing this upload I purchased the album on iTunes and went ahead and got volumes 4 and 5 while I was it but I didn't notice until afterwards that you're also on Bandcamp which I prefer - I'll make all future purchases from there included ones I haven't bought yet.
phantom forest and phantom train... work just blurs by like the mottled scenery from a train window as seen through half a ghost. the only thing better would be a loop (and a treasure chest with no monsters inside, but that's asking too much i know). thank you!
Haha I've actually planned a Star Ocean 2 album of about 12 tracks. Since I'm about halfway done with the project, I decided not to release on this album.
My kid can be absolutely out of his gourd, screaming, kicking, crying. I turn this on and he just melts into a puddle of acquiescent goo. God bless you John Oeth!!
haha That's awesome. He is probably going on an internal quest when listening to the music. 😂
Opening the video with Peaceful Days. ah, just what my soul needed
Classic track! I closed the album with another Mitsuda composition from Sea of Stars, a game heavily inspired by Chrono Trigger.
@@JohnOethGuitar And Crysta right before it! Great taste :)
Always makes me really happy to see Terranigma getting some love
Only someone who plays classical guitar can understand how much hard work it takes to do this. Very impressive. Good job, man!
Nah, doesn't take someone that plays classical guitar to know that. Playing music in general takes a lot of work and dedication.

Can relate... Big time!
That's some awesome flow and skills there.
Three things are certain in life. The sun shines, the moon glows, and John Oath plays guitar 🤘
I love that a mother duck and little ducks went past.

I'm loving the Pallet Town performance! Listening now, and each song is better than the last!

Sigh, this is so very relaxing after a hard day at the job. Thanks.

That cover of The Nightmare Begins is so beautiful I could fall asleep to it and have good dreams.
Your arrangement of "Fragments of Forever" made me cry.
John, you are an absolute legend! You arrange songs faster than I can learn one with tabs or videos teaching me.
Classical training, my dude. Serious self-discipline and a lifetime of ruthless determination.
So clean, so precise. The way you flow through the songs is phenomenal. Thank you again John for these beautiful renditions.

Thanks so much for your kind words. Music is beautiful that it can cross language boundaries. Have a wonderful day!
You chose very wisely, of all the games you could choose in world, you went with chrono trigger, the best soundtrack in existence. Good taste
The Phantom Train and Forest themes chill my soul. Every version. Great music!
Legendary. Those Baldur's Gate 3 arrangements in particular just hit so hard.
man that Sultana Dreaming interpretation I'm crying.
