Being a woman growing up on farms and dealing with a lot of old machinery and seeing you guys go and recover such an old well built piece of equipment. You should restore it and use it. You know those older things are far better with time. Plus it would be like me telling my husband since he's an old-timer that I'm going to fix you sell you and by a newer model. No my ole timer is far better than anything that has to be Rhode and drove for many of years before I have it broke in. New is not always better that baby still has a lot of miles.

I never watched this channel because I want to support the average American UA-camr. Not the big money, big production, Hollywood style channels. This is UA-cam"s game, Too off the small creator and bring in Hollywood only, big money channels. But I do love watching HeavyD and the guys. This is the way I grew up, working hard with my hands. I wanted to start a UA-cam channel, but can't compete with stuff like this, and a health issue I can't afford to treat or get help with. So I am stuck, sent home to die a slow painful death.

I would really love to learn more about restoring these machines. Every episode I watch you guys cracking valves, spraying starting fluid, penetrating piston rings, and changing/cleaning filters. It seems like it's pretty simple to get the thing running provided we have the right diagrams or knowledge about the machines and where certain vital systems are located. Since I only had the chance to work on a loader restoration one time it would be really cool to see more in depth videos explaining how the stuff works and what you do to fix it. I'd love to do work like this but I wish I had more experience and I think your videos are a really good place to start learning.

My grandfather told the story that when he was a small boy in Wellington Utah, when Butch Cassidy would ride into town he would pay my grandfather a Nickel to tend to his horse and to keep quiet. My great grandmother would always make sure that Butch had a hot meal. This story never made sense to me because my grandfather was born in 1905 making him just a toddler at the time of Cassidy's alleged death in Bolivia. If the story you shared is true, my grandfather's account makes more sense.

You mention that this cabin is near his home town (Beaver). Well, Butch was one of my Great Grandfather's dear friends and employee (when he needed to scrape up some coin and hideout). My older brother is named after him. Dated photos of Butch standing next to my GGF (a well known Utah railroad and road constructor) taken by a known Utah photographer were used five years ago to prove that Butch didn't die in Bolivia (as they were dated afterwards). As I'm sure you're aware, Butch was protected by many and seen as a hero (stealing from "the man" and giving to the needy). He is buried in the US, just not at this location...but rather near one of your recent visits...

Nice to see the old turbo oven trick is still being used. Back when I was truckin' for a living, we also used the windshield and/or defrost to cook things quite frequently. Also knew a guy that rigged up an insulated aluminum box with a hatch attached to the catwalk and the exhaust stack. Part of it was wrapped around the stack, and it did a surprisingly good job of harnessing the heat and using it. As for restore vs sell, if it were me, I'd keep that old beast for sure. Get your self a half gallon or one gallon small hand held pumper sprayer an put some diesel fuel in it pump it up so u can have more prolonged spray time and it wont be so hard on the engine. It also speeds up the priming time and hassle of bleeding everything.

I have almost no diesel experience. Besides a mild restoration on a 1986 USMC M1008. I like your small pumper suggestion for diesel ? Spray as starter
fluid . But, doesn’t the engine require a higher octane ? Obviously, not as high as a gasoline engine. Those HD compressed air driven pumper spray btls have multiple uses. How about for the BBQ? Grilling those thick steaks.

I’ve only been watching your videos for a short while, love them so far. I’m a lady that from an early age would always enjoy watching my father and brother-in-laws work on large equipment. I was the little kid with small hands reaching in where they couldn’t to help hold or pickup things dropped that they needed to complete the repair. Needless to say I asked a million questions and learned a lot 😁Stay safe out there!

I think you should show all sides restore ,flip, and auction . Your a real inspiration to small business owners and the Truck / Diesel Community .

It's nice to watch people who are eccentric as I am having fun while working. I too am a descendant of Mormon Pioneers on my mothers side with being raised and living the first 49 years of my life in Carbon County, Utah. 2006 we moved to Farmington, NM. I wish I was there with your team to dowse for gold and silver stashes around the supposed favorite cabin of Butch Cassidy. If there is more than a couple of gold coins or a couple of small nuggets buried four feet deep, dowsing with the modern ball bearing dowsing rod would definitely locate the exact center and decipher the depth buried. I wrote a book named The Art of Dowsing - Separating Science from Superstition for teaching the world how to use physics with on ground dowsing using the modern ball bearing dowsing rod with the ability to use gravity as the gauge for deciphering the edges, exact center, depth buried, angle of deposition, and grading of the exact element that is used as the dowsing rod load. From dowsing buried water lines to tunnels or voids in the ground to precious metals to building your own modern ball bearing dowsing rod is taught in the book. Hope everyone has a nice day and thank you for reading this response.

Heavy D, love this Y.T channel you've created, & the antics & bond you guy's have with each other while actually working, you can tell is genuine & far better than any contrived reality show.
As for those vehicles, there's enough shows about buying & selling motors, so I'd love to see a 4 Ep series on certain ones you deem worthy of restoration, after all, they don;t make iconic gear like this anymore, so to see them how they left the factory, working as they should, would be a real treat. Thanks. Regards Urban Geeze ( U.k ).
