Eurovision: Songs Lithuania Almost Sent (1999 - 2023) | Second Places in Lithuanian National Finals
Вставка

- While Estonia and Latvia already managed to win Eurovision, Lithuania has not - however, they are the Baltic nation with the best qualification record as of 2023!
Apart from their debut in 1994, Lithuania have never chosen their entry without a national final. This video will serve as a quick recap of the songs that almost made it to the Eurovision stage!
wow! this video was very informative! i learned that in Söngvakeppnin 1989 the songs “Alpatwist” and “Línudans” ended up in a tie that was never resolved!!
😭😭😭
Wow... You don't make mistakes in your life... My goood. Calm down

*Year 2475: Aiste Pilvelyte is still trying to represent Lithuania at Eurovision.* 😅
With her song: I Am Still Alive
Haha
how about The Roop?
Rebelheart - Kelias pas tave eventually became all time Lithuanian pop/rock classic.
On Earth 2, Lithuania won the ESC in 2020.
Make Me Human still gives me goosebumps
Markus Riva: I've been trying to go to Eurovision for Latvia since 2013 and I never win!
Aisté Pilvelyté: That's cute, kid.
I definitely love their approach especially since 2020! Pabandom iš naujo definitely worked in their favor and I hope they'll able to get their first win soon.
Light On, Make me human, I'm like a wolf... literal gems
All non-qualifiers.

@@yankis. Būtent, nebejuokink.
Since 2020 Lithuania is good at esc !! Keep going on !! I'm sure they will win soon
Something magical happened around 2016. The staging, quality of music (I’m not talking style, but purely quality), … great to see such steep growth
Leading Me Home will always be in my heart ❤️
a lot of songs here were a little questionable but so low and make me human slapped HARD
I really wanna know what was happening in lithuania in 2006 after seeing their top 2
Oh wow. 1999 song has become unofficial anthem at this point, iconic song status. I had no idea it was released for Eurovision! While nobody even remembers who went instead, was it Strazdas by Aistė?
yes it was, i love both songs actually! really strong top 2
I was so inlove with a 2007 song by Rūta Ščiogolevaitė.
And still remember it to this day.
By the way, 1999 song by Rebelheart became a huge hit song in Lithuania. Everyone knows it by heart till this day. Everyone!
Lithuania was really going for the goofy in 2006.
,,This Time" is not MIA's song, it's Monika Linkytė and Vaidas Baumila song and they represented Lithuania with this song in 2015
Pay Attention to the great songs by Saules Kilosas 😃🎶🎤🎷🕺🏾great sophistaced jazzfunk. Really quality. Such a pity they never went to esc
Amberlife (in your eyes) is missing from this list. This would have done great for sure. And out of these songs in this video my personal fav is DAR - lead me home. It's such a banger.
I was waiting for this to be uploaded ty for finnaly uploading it
I actually had no idea Kelias Pas Tave was from Eurovision. Pretty much every Lithuanian that was born pre-2000 could sing it
Aiste with the biggest robbery of this decade. She should have gone to Eurovision in 2017. And MAke me human WHAT A SONG! Love it!
And 2021, Great to know Gebrasy. Great song too
2020 😢
If it was an esc in 2020, it would not have been an awful joke song which brought them the best result to date
Aiste and Ruta and Mia should collaborate and bring Lithuania its first victory.
YOung Donny
What to me?
2014 and 2015 were artist selections. Basically same song. Vaidas and Monika also participated in 2014, each with their own version of Attention.
It's so funny how much Monikas in Lithuania
I'm so sad because of Lolita Zero
Cool songs. But esc certainly Does not need more drag
Alanas Chosnou serving Sakis Rouvas realness😭😭and Ruta😭 vocals on point everytime
2021 was such a strong year for Lithuania. Both The Roop and Gebrasy could have been my Eurovidion winners.
Poor Mia - missed out with a song that wasn’t hers two years in a row 😂
This is pretty interesting!
Aiste is a Lithuanian queen
Year 563646)2*542 Aiste Pilvelyte Is Still Trying To Enter Eurovision Even Though Being The Oldest Thing In The Universe
Aisté robbed 3 times... She is soooo great
Actually she (Aistė Pilvelyte) took part in the national selection even more than 10 times (she could have released her special album, consisting only of Eurovision songs)! Some national her esc tracks are:
2004 Amor te quer aqi (thre's on YT)
2005 - I'll let you fly (th. is on YT)
2006 - Just For Fun (oriental style)
2007 - Emotional crisis (Gothic soft metal style) smth. like Evanescence
2008 - Troy On Fire (Y public voted for almost nobody known artist like J Milius!? 🤔 still a mystery to th day
2009 she didn't participate that year.
2010 - Melancolia
2011 also ✖️
2012 ✖️
BTW there was some year near about this time when she come back but was eliminated just in second tour when all artists were were obliged to perform first esc hit then own country national hit (lithuanian) and she didn't pass it so we even don't know what was her esc track!
2016 - You Bet
2017 - I'm like the wolf (music wrote by Aminata)!
Don't remember exactly but it's must be 20's year when Moniq (make me human) won second place she (Ais. Pilvelytė) was in national final with song "Believe" and later in this year also.
2019 and 2022 😍
But the songs of 2014 and 2015 were in Eurovision.
A late reply, but in 14/15 we had a very weird selection process of choosing a song and singer separately and the selection was like 15ish weeks. A group of singers, a group of songs, they got to perform a different song each week until it was cut down to top 3 artists choosing one of the songs throughout the selection. And then the final week was all of the top 3 singers singing the selected song.
Gebrasy deserves to go to Eurovision
A horrible entry this year chosen over so many great songs….and Even Worse: in a totally undemocratic way
i hate that mia stole 2014 and 2015 first national final wining songs
Make me Human was really very good song
2014, 2015 - didn't I hear these songs?
Mia entered with 2 songs, which after fewyears actualy was sent to eurovision 😂
Make me human is good song in itself
Ruta 😭😭😭
2018 2019 where those years when Lithuania actually could've had a chance to finally win. Jurgis Brūzga made something unusual for Lithuanians but sadly just like Monika Marija they were just underrated. Probably they'll never win
2005 sounds not that bad.
Thanks for making my skin crawl with cringe, impressive. I feel like the moment i first fell shame, so many bad bands i love it :D
Kinda sad for Mia in 2014-2015, yeah the winners were better, but they literally just took HER songs and gave it to other people to perform :/
Not her songs. The NF was so weird back then. 2 artists were selected to sing each others songs in the final. "This Time" was actually Vaidas's song. In the early shows he sang it alone, in a completely different tempo, only later he got paired with Monika. The NF was too long, confusing and dumb.
unpopular opinion but make me human was soooo much better than on fire
Amberlife not included, boooo
biggest disaster was when monika marija was robbed and thats why lithuania didnt qualify that year , because running with lions was horrible in comparison....
A horrible entry in 2011. Linas was much better. Actually they often have good NFs
Rūta Ščiogoliovaitė turi gerą balsą labai ir daina nebuvo bloga.
2004ų metų.
2024 will ruin our progression. One of the worst selections in a while🥰
no
Waht a fake video!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't believe it
correct me then go ahead
