@@mikeiceeidk why everyone gives that guy so much crap. He washed out twice but he did complete BUDS which makes him pretty tough in my book. Def playing big shot on daddy’s money but anyone who got through BUDS twice deserves some level of respect
I've sat thru a gang of Mike's guests' interviews. Chris interview has made mybtop 5, and I haven't even watched part 2 yet. I'm going to watch it now.
if i got one regret in life its not being a doggie, not sure in US military but in my country you either needed to be sf or engineer to get the job, wish I tried to do it while I was in
People, please hit the like button and pay attention when Mike said in the thumbnail. Well, not without attitude. You won't that saying is priceless and very, very useful, and very smart people don't say that enough. Anymore, it needs to happen when people have a negative attitude. We need to remind each other if you think negative negatives gonna happen if you think positive positives gonna happen. So thanks again mike
Haha this is really weird seeing this. I was in Chris’ BUDS class originally before I got medically rolled. He was a good guy. He was always optimistic and had a smile on his face. It’s a daggum shame the Navy pushes the good ones out.
I agree with you Mike about telling guys the truth about what they are doing, like you said when I was younger I didn’t question anything but as I got older and higher up the chain it really started to cause me issues because I was questioning and pissed that dudes in charge of me wasn’t questioning like you said, I even told my commander once when he asked why are you giving us such a hard time? I said that’s the problem you should be doing this to your boss to fight for us. Which is why last year I declined promotion and retired I couldn’t co-sign on bs anymore.
to many of the higher ups only care about their careers and using said positions on their resumes when they eventually get out or smoking pipe to get where they want, most higher ups are pseudo politicians, its why most western militaries are having so much issue with recruiting an retention, im not from US but I seen the same shit in my countries military and why myself and most others got out
I firmly believe that based on the millennia of evidence of dogs willingness to sacrifice themselves for their chosen humans/packs safety and survival Im absolutely certainly if you could do the impossible and have the doctor Dolittle ability to talk to animals and you asked any working dog military or LEO who do we send in a certain death situation you or your handler they would answer without hesitation send me. Sry this is what happens when I drink tequila and get emotionally invested in a subject that I'm pretty sure no one that watches this podcast would disagree with. But I know what it is I'm just missing Arron my German shepherd and one of if not the smartest dog I've ever met let alone owned fuck he's been gone 31yrs and I still miss that badass meet like he died yesterday. Sry the k9 episodes always hit me hard
Honestly, I feel perception of an individual dictates destiny. Good parents, bad parents....maybe not so much. Character is maybe the filter that clears the debris.
The talk about living in Norfolk/Va Beach and training in martial arts hit close to home, one never knew who they were sparring or rolling with in this town. I must have run into this dude somewhere at some point. Really interesting podcast.
One of the best pods I’ve listened to in a while. I loved it and supper excited to see the next 1 or 5 parts to hear the whole story… I’ll be here when it’s up 💪🏻🫡
Hopefully you watched the Dog from the IDF who got the enter command and was met with a Garanade. the handler and his #2 in the train eliminated the threat . And now the time was to SAVE the dog a rewarding FB
Outrageous that Mickey's reward for serving our country honorably and successfully was getting neutered. Shame on the sick, sick person who signed off on that policy.
I was abandoned by my father at 3 years old. I don't even know who he is, don't remember him, and even though I know my kids and was in their life for the early years. I'm not anymore so I basically abandoned them. The way my father did me not by choice. But I did the drugs so I guess I did it by Joyce. My thing is breaking the cycle is sometimes done on purpose but I think I didn't have any control over breaking that cycle meaning because of the childhood trauma. I went through in other ways way more severe than abandonment. Maybe that has something to do with not being able to break the cycle. I wasn't mentally strong enough or educated enough. And I think that's what it comes down to
I'm watching an older episode right now and I just wanted to say I'm sorry I almost cried some my dream is the military I can't get that dream right now watching this stuff helps and you pause the podcast and go to talk about ads and how people are complaining but how necessary it is and I'm hearing this right after thinking great let's skip another stupid ass ad I will watch your Ads and i will buy something I need and want thank you for everything I mean it
Man I can't imagine going through all that BUD/S training elite of the elite stuff and you get out ready to kick some bad guy ass and they post you to Cameroon guarding Chinese oil infrastructure.
Love this podcast, and I know it's mikes job to get info. I just wish guys did not go into that much detail. What he is saying is not common knowledge. Seals will tell everything, surely he will have his own book out
You would think that. But my sister in law who is a horrible mother and going to force me to call defac because it’s only a matter of time anyways before they’re called anyways by his school. But we’ve tried talking to her and she doesn’t get it. And thinks she’s what’s best
What does it mean to defend your country and your Constitution from all enemies foreign and “ domestic “ ? Who would be a domestic threat to the Constitution and what would they be doing as a threat ? I would call someone who threatens a person’s Rights and Freedoms a enemy of the Constitution .
For my Maliniois female who would not give up a ball for anything, what worked? Having a well-known TO HER second dog (male) who would get to chase thrownballs. She now gladly gives up the ball on return. Not giving ball up?... i'd sayy No Big Deal.
We started to give our a dog a wet willy when he wouldn't let go. It was hilarious. He learned to give it if he wanted it thrown. He might be dutchie but he's not exactly a working dog.😅
Absolute banger of a podcast. Chris is the real deal. Can't wait for #2.
Noone is disputing that! Incredible testimony.

I love it, another dog handler!! Seems like a solid dude too! Thank you for your service, both of you! ❤❤

We all need a follow up on Mickey’s ball release development 😄
As I sit here waiting for my dog (boxer) to drop the ball, they brought up the ball situation 😂😂
Please keep us posted on how training with Mickey goes, just curious. The dog stories always get me 😢 RIP Charlie
