Hey Mike! Good job with the demo. Glad you enjoyed this product too. We were aiming for that dark satin sheen look, so your results are in line with that. For those who want a bit more gloss, you can absolutely apply a second layer. You would apply the first layer, go arround all four tires, and by the time you get back to the first tire, it’s time to apply the second layer. Once the 2nd layer is applied, wait 10 min of curing, and then you can drive off in the elements if needed.
When it’s time to reapply, what is the best method to re-prep the tire (ie how do I remove what is left of the old Clean. Tire Dressing for a fresh application)? Sorry if this is a basic question-I’ve only used short term dressing previously.
@@PanTheOrganizer thanks Pan. You definitely achieved the look. I haven’t used to try a second layer next time to see how that looks. U like the fact that it dries to the touch.
@@DriveTwistysWhen it’s time to reapply a few weeks down the line, just a good cleaning with a tire cleaner is all that is needed. Then you reapply a fresh layer. It will adhere to itself if there’s any still left on the tire so no worries. 👍🏻
I got to use the pan shampoo, ceramic sealant and the tire dressing. Man oh man that’s 🔥🔥🔥 pan really nailed it. I have a non coated car the sealant looks like I have one. So slick good job again pan 💪🏼💪🏼👍🏻👍🏻
@@Spirited282 thanks. If you like dark side I think you will like this even more as it actually dries on the tire unlike dark side. Both great options.

Really looks nice 👍 To me it's what a clean tire and wheel should look like. To your point another tire may not look like that. Rubber compound is so much different between manufacturers. Great demo
@@JhawkerZ thanks. It does look great and I think many will like it. You are right that not all rubber tires are created equal. But in reality nobody will notice other than me.
Great video Mike! Everyone points out the weirdest stuff I swear 😂😂. First time I heard spread tire dressing clock wise only. Didn't know the tires cared 😂😂
I use one of those small waffle applicators with Darkside, never get an uneven finish. Wasn't a big fan of it in the beginning, but now i coat each tire, then go back and add a lighter coat. I felt i found the sweet spot, and then got bored, lol. So i tried Ethos Graphene Shine, so far i'm liking it. after hitting it with Primus, and Purifica, tires were still deep black, like new. Surprising. There is no perfect tire shine, or sealant.
@@waterhose4130 I have a love hate relationship with dark side lol. But it does work pretty well. My preference is still a water based tire dressings like Ethos. Ethos does well o real and also dry to the touch.
Clockwise? Really??? Didn’t know the tires were paying attention. So if you don’t apply it clockwise, is the tire just going to reject the dressing? Tire: Expels the dressing and says “Nope, do it again, but do it clockwise this time”. 🤣🤣🤣 Sounds like someone is either overthinking things, or as you mentioned, is just looking for attention. Just get it on the tire. I can see how some dressings may apply better with a brush or an applicator, but those are dressing dependent.
Michelins are notorious for having slightly uneven coverage in those grooved areas, unless you use a tyre dressing brush. 4 weeks is pretty good, generally top it up quickly after each wash anyway. I think Darkside, this from Pan and ADS Ghost look great. I do like that aftershave smell from Carpro. I am still thinking about Ghost as my next dressing as I like the look as I prefer a slightly more gloss with tons of darkening saturation. The blue-ish indicator to let you know you've sort of reached the right amount of product on the tyre is a handy feature. But, I think this one is a definite winner. Pan has done it again!
@@79blustone you are right Michelin’s don’t often take to dressings that well. I remember that I do have some of those small brushes after I finish making the video 🤦♂️. Pan has another hit with this one. Ghost is going to be a hit as it’s on the verge of being a tire coating. Just don’t go as heavy as I did 😂
I agree with your assessment of Darkside. I love the results, but I find myself having to wipe it down (even after about an hour) in order for it to completely dry. And the cure time is a little too long for my liking. Pan's Tire Dressing looks interesting. So said you would prefer a little more gloss. Do you think adding another layer would gloss it up a bit?
@@EvilCodeMunkee I think another layer could give it a bit more gloss. I’m going to experiment with it to see if it does. It does look really good though.

Should compare it to Nasiol . Best product for my conditions and offroad tires. Nasiol not too thin or too thick just enough to get into all the crevices of all terrain tires
@@davidnuxoll7074 I will have to get me some Nasiol. I was planning to compare a couple other solvent based tire dressings and see which I like the best and report back.
@@MikeGDetailingI’d be interested in this comparison as well. I’ve been really impressed with Nasiol Detailer Shine. Super easy to apply, especially using the foam side of their coating applicator, gives a great look, and lasts 3-4 weeks. Labocosmetica Nero is another good one that maybe you’ll consider for your comparison. I’ve found it’s a bit glossier for those who like that. Pan’s looks really good as well. Thanks for another quality review Mike. I have too many other dressings I need to use up at the moment, but will definitely keep this one on my radar.
I am having a similar issue with the tire dressing on my tires. It applies real easy but it does not dry completely in the little slits and grooves of my tires. So I’m noticing days later that dressing is leaking out from those areas and I have to wipe it down again with a MF towel. Not sure how to remedy that issue. I started wiping the tire about an hour after application with a towel to dry and level anything left over.
Use a waterbased dressing or waterbased sealant (like ghost). These will dry better and faster. Even in areas it is built up. Solvent based dressing are notorious for slinging because they don’t dry as fast.
good stuff but no.. as a business use a water based dressing that you can get in gallon size that can be applied to wet or dry tires. most aren't buying 16 oz of dressing or anything for that matter for 20$ that's called losing $ on a detail. few detailers would ever purchase this. no Gallon..no sale sorry.
