THANK YOU!...Our church is small I know nothing about tech....and i am the go-to guy at our church. Love it when i find a video with no filler just facts....thanks again...well done!
This is really good! I've been so used to editing on the computer, but this video gives me the confidence to edit on the phone as well. Great job, David!
I don't have a lot of experience with android phones for recording video but I'd still suggest the pixel 9 pro or the Samsung Galaxy s24 Ultra. - David
Good morning sir, I am struggling to follow the steps. Could you please help me, I really want to know how I should edit the sermons, music and other things. Help me please
Is there a reason why you preferred 1080 P to 4K? I’m still trying to get an understanding of all the different conversions, I typically use 4K but then I noticed my videos are a bit glitchy.
Great question! My church doesn't record in 4k so exporting in 4k would just be an inconsistent image quality and not effective which is the main reason I choose to avoid it. If your recording is in 4k then by all measns export in 4k. I do feel like capcut's exporting isn't super reliable though so test it out with different framerate combinations and see what works best. I've noticed it's not super accurate with high quality renders.
It's about doing everything in the same format. The Camera settings resolution, and FPS, should be the same when recorded and the same when editing and exporting.
Hi This is a Great Tutorial and very very helpful. I am unsure how to record a clip from facebook on my phone. Do you have a tutorial for that? Thanks a Million!
If you're trying to get your clip recorded off of Facebook, best you could do is attempt to full screen the video and screen record on your phone. If you're pulling the video off facebook from a computer, you can screen record the video once it's in full screen with a free program called OBS.
Here's how to do it on an Android: Swipe down twice from the top of your screen. Tap Screen record. You might need to swipe right to find it. If it's not there, tap Edit and drag Screen record to your Quick Settings. Choose what you want to record and tap Start. The recording begins after the countdown. To stop recording, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the Screen recorder notification .
Thanks for the tutorial. Went all the way through with your instructions and created a clip, only be be stopped at the export step. It says I need to have the paid “Pro” version to export the video. Is this true?
Usually that means you used something like a specific font or transition included with pro only. Hard to say what pro feature was used without seeing it and this video was also made about a year ago so the app has changed a bit since. From what I can see you should be able to still use all the features shown in this video without using anything from the "pro" plan. When you go to export, it should show you what you used that is a pro feature and you can try to take that out and then export. Exporting is not a pro feature. -David
I love the easy instructions, but the quality of my video goes down so much when I have to zoom in on capcut, is there a fix for this? ( I screen recorded with my phone horizonal)
The only solution for that either be to leave it zoomed out and add a background, or see if the recording itself can be shot at a higher quality (like 4k) zooming in stretches out existing pixels in the video thus appearing lower quality when stretched. So if you have a 4k recording, it's more pixels densely packed into the image and can handle being stretched out easier without losing quality. If you're recording at something like 720p or 1080p though, you'll have to leave it zoomed out unfortunately or just be okay with the lower quality image when zoomed in.
Great video. Quick question. When I try to post the video to instagram, on my feed the video is not scaled right. The pastor’s head is out of the picture on the feed, even though on the reel it’s in it. Is there a way to resize it so it doesn’t look funny on my feed
This is an issue with Instagram's format. Feed videos are shorter. Other than keeping your pastor lower in the frame on the short, there isn't much that you can do for now.
This is so helpful -- thank you! I've become the social media director at our church and have been figuring out CapCut for a couple months. I typically edit sermons from my laptop -- because of how our church does videos, it's just been easier. Is there a way to do the key frames from there?
Facebook is a tricky one. I would ask the A/V team if they have the raw file of the completed video. If that's not an option and FB is the only place you can pull from, you'll have to full screen the video on your phone or computer and record it using your phones screen record function or a program like OBS on computer (free). Then you'd have to zoom in or crop out anything you don't want showing from the facebook player in editing.
Great question! Yes, screen recording can sometimes result in a loss of video quality, depending on the recording settings and software used. For the best results, it's usually better to use original video files whenever possible.
Two ways. Select the clip-> tap "volume"-> drag volume to 0 Select the clip-> tap "extract audio"-> delete the extracted audio by selecting it and tap "delete" Hope this helps.
They are called "motion graphic templates" You can find some free ones google searching 'lower thirds' motion graphic templates. But they can be created manually in after effects. I use preset ones I purchased from envato elements. -David
based on what I'm seeing on my app, the diamond icon (keyframe) won't appear if you don't have the clip selected. Tap on the video clip itself and see if it pops up. -David
Great question - Pastors can pursue a copyright claim if they want to, but that is rare when video clips are shared in the right way - not to mock or steal content for your own gain.

@@reachright Thank you! I’ll go back and take a look at that. Appreciate the suggestion.
Do you want the pro version
It will cost you but not much

can I do this using the live stream videos that we take ? thanks a lot 🙂
Yes you can!

yep! keyframes are on the top right of the middle toolbar of capcut PC
great
Awesome! Thanks for the support!
Please how I create those sentence breake on a video
Can you clarify the question? Not sure what you're referring to exactly.
I do need help getting it on my phone. At the moment we just upload to Facebook so I'm not sure where I pull my videos from🤷♂️🤦♂️

by screen recording, does that cause the quality of the video to suffer?
Great question! Yes, screen recording can sometimes result in a loss of video quality, depending on the recording settings and software used. For the best results, it's usually better to use original video files whenever possible.
How do I erase the audio of the video I’m working with?
Two ways.
Select the clip-> tap "volume"-> drag volume to 0
Select the clip-> tap "extract audio"-> delete the extracted audio by selecting it and tap "delete"
Hope this helps.
Bro can you tell me how to create a name pop up like the one in this video?? Please 🙏🏻?
We might make a video on that in the not too distant future!
They are called "motion graphic templates" You can find some free ones google searching 'lower thirds' motion graphic templates. But they can be created manually in after effects. I use preset ones I purchased from envato elements. -David
how do you feel about opus clips?
We have a full video about that. Check it here: ua-cam.com/video/klkHbEwz5lc/v-deo.html
My app doesn’t have the symbol to follow his movement??
based on what I'm seeing on my app, the diamond icon (keyframe) won't appear if you don't have the clip selected. Tap on the video clip itself and see if it pops up. -David
Does Canva have this capability as well?
Canva is good but Capcut's feature is way easier and faster.
Hey I see people post on their channel various Pastors is it legal.?
Great question - Pastors can pursue a copyright claim if they want to, but that is rare when video clips are shared in the right way - not to mock or steal content for your own gain.
where do I find the sermons??
This assumes your church publishes weekly sermons online.
