Have you ever lied? Ever stolen? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; & we've only looked at three of the Ten Commandments. That's how God sees you. Nothing is hid from His holy eyes. Will you be innocent or guilty on the day of judgment? Listen to your conscience. You know that you will be guilty & therefore end up in Hell. That's not God's will. He provided a way for you to be forgiven. He sent His Son to take your punishment: "God commended His love towards us, in that, in while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead & defeated death. He is your "ticket" to Heaven. He is the "way", He is the "Door", the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name!

What does it take to get you to this point, I do not believe that they allow the maximum to start. So there must be a process that over time to increases the monthly grant amount.

Pastors should get paid enough to support a family. That’s what I think. If the Bible has high sexual ethics and is pro family then a pastor should make enough to support a family and have kids.

How long does it usually take you to prepare a sermon?

Nothing wrong with clergy getting paid something, but I think it is not helpful to clergy to make them lifetime dependant on the church. I think all clergy would be in a better position financially overall if they were bi-vocational. It would also give clergy opportunities to minister to the general public as well as understand unchurched folks situations better.
