    As an amateur player, I would be delighted to reach this level of musicianship- having my nails right, memorizing the piece, being professionally filmed in a magnificent room, having half a million people see me play, and fully embracing music that is clearly outside my native culture. But that's just me.

    I'm impressed that it sounded as good as it did, what with the guitar being out of tune, and the acoustics in the room magnifying the fret noise so much.

    “Complaining does not work as a strategy. We all have finite time and energy. Any time we spend whining is unlikely to help us achieve our goals. And it won't make us happier.” In other words there were a lot kinder ways to say the tuning was a bit off, or the timing was this or that.... but unfortunately there are those who would rather illustrate and spread negativity vice any real advice or opinion, for that I apologize...... But at the end of the day, you can definitely see the passion, the art, and the flow of energy that is what makes a truly talented guitarist in my point of view.....

      I think people are piggybacking. They don't really know if it's "out of tune" because none of them have anything close to perfect pitch. They just keep repeating ignorance. The b slightly untuned itself in the beginning of the performance. Boo hoo.

    What happened to the cadenza? He totally emitted a huge portion of the poignant and beautiful ending to this masterful Chopin interpretation by Tarrega. I spent months perfecting this cadenza and it was one of the most rewarding and amazing passages of music I ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I must compliment the excellent production of this video, the crew did excellent work and it was such a pleasure to watch this video, only to be let down by the subject matter. The location was spectacular, lighting and sound were top notch, and the wardrobe department was fabulous, but alas, he took so many short-cuts and let so much harmony and voicing out of his playing, and to make matters worse, he is out of tune. With that being said, this is his take of a great interpretation and overall, it is still commendable for his courage and effort. Well done! I would have advised him to pick another piece to showcase this production house's work, this was probably out of his league.

    Relax on the negativity, especially if the point has already been covered. the one thing he has brought to the table is mental stimulation, whether one likes his playing or not. I happy to have taken 5 minutes out to listen to the"Prince of Nepal".I've been looking online at American boutique steel string guitars and I'm surprised that nearly 100% of the feedback is positive. Often the playing is relatively simple, but the tone and intent is what is impressive.

    Lift your left fingers away from the guitar when you change positions to avoid string noise (imagine the ground is the fret-board and you are jumping towards the sky to understand the direction the fingers must follow. Check the position of your right hand wrist, it is making you pluck the strings outwards, producing a thin sound, you should try to move the strings downwards instead. Also, more flesh, less nails... and a guitar tuner (at least an app).

      +Tony Sinopoli I totally respect how your encourage this kid with what he was doing. However, if you have been an guitar player and a real artist, you must know what to be called Rhythm and Emotion / slow and fast for express and show. This Master piece become ordinary when you play this with a mono emotion, same speed every where. Dont you agree?
      shall we critique to make him better or let him sleep inside his cave without having better look back at himself?

    • @tonys2705
      @tonys2705 8 років тому

      Vinh Hoang
      I've found that there are always an abundance of negative comments thrown around, even at good players. There's always someone there to point out the negative. If this guy were a personal friend of mine, I would have given him the good with the bad. But he's a stranger to me. So I always go by the old saying; if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything....
      I prefer to be the one doing the encouraging. I'll let some of the others to do the rest... With enough encouraging he will rise to the task.

      I'm glad you respect my point. I respect yours. But, my friend, I am not his teacher, I'm just someone who always enjoys such a fine effort from anyone who devotes their lives to music. Anyone who puts their ass on the line with a video for all the world to see.
      As you can see below, there are plenty enough negative comments. As far as I'm concerned, this guy gave what he thought was his best effort. Who are we to criticize it? Unless, of course, someone is willing to show what they think is a better way to play it......
      Lighten up. Enjoy. None of us are perfect. Not a one..

    A todos los que critican al guitarrista permítanme decirles que este video fue pensado originalmente para promocionar al estudio de grabación NO al interprete, solo fue usado para darle más publicidad pero no era el fin último, así que si se centran en lo que perseguía de verdad el video, verán que lo logra pues los encuadres, la nitidez y en general el uso de la cámara son fenomenales.
    Así que si no les gusta mejor váyanse a practicar o a ver a otros interpretes y dejen de soltar veneno.

      Pues lo siento mucho, toda interpretación es invariablemente sujeto de crítica..el chico toca sucio, está fuera de tono y no se sabe bien la pieza.. además la belleza de esta pieza supera infinitamente la relevancia de la calidad o composición de un video.. en otras palabras, personas con verdadera sensibilidad artística vinieron a dar aquí para escuchar la interpretación gracias al renombre de la pieza y sorpresa!!! fiasco de ejecución!! ni la más bella edición, resolución, locación, limpieza, fidelidad del audio, profundidad de campo, iluminación, cambio de cámaras.. etc.. servirán de consuelo ante el desagrado de esta paupérrima interpretación. ¿que quieres que comente la gente entonces? pero que chida edición!! está genial la locación!! se ve todo super pulcro!! la iluminación tan cálida!! me facina como aplican esos fade in de blur!! y la rola bueno... en eso ni me fijé...carajo!!

    • @tonatiuhgonzalezzambrano9082
      @tonatiuhgonzalezzambrano9082 8 років тому

      +marlino321 Lo que sea ese no era el fin del video, pudieron haber puesto a cualquier persona tocando, lo que importa es la calidad del video que es JUSTO LO QUE SE PROMOCIONA.
      Por ejemplo si yo vendo ventanas las puedo promocionar con una botarga pero la botarga es lo de menos, lo importante es la. calidad de las ventanas, igual aquí el guitarrista es lo de menos. Y pues si no te gusta hay cientos de videos que puedes ver y que su fin último sí es la obra musical.

    Very well played, my only issue is the famous "dragging fingers across the strings" which causes a certain noise that is not part of this piano piece. I've practiced to lift my fingers, instead of sliding them to the next position. You may try the same, the song will just sound that much better.

    A musical piece is like the bread...get the recipie, prepare everything and cook it, so, u gotta wait by practicing, studying before doing that...

    I heard the out of tune... And saw a bunch of comments on it... I would almost bet that the humidity/temperature in that building was drastically different from the environment it was in before. Plus, if he had new strings on there.... Well everyone knows how long it takes for nylon strings to keep tune 😆.

    i think he,,, intentionally tune out his guitar step down so,,,we can hear the piece tune as the original E flat (for he played on E major)
    Good job.
