- Hi guys! I have sold this arrangement on my site shop.per-olovkindgren.com for over 14 years now. But the extent of illegal copies has forced me to not provide any of my arrangements for classical guitar anymore. From January 2024 I will only sell my own compositions from my site. This is not exactly a "canon". It's more a Passacaglia. The "vamp" D A Bm F#m G D G A. is repeated all the time with variations.

Any guitarist would respect how difficult this is to pull off. This would take me 100's of hours of practice - thus guitar sounds just like a piano - simply excellent!!

I agree on how hard it is, playing this is easy, getting the sound right, every accent right and getting the warmth of the tone like it is supposed be, is one of the hardest things there is. Well played, respect!

jonathan castro The difficulty is more in the performance than the piece. This guys mastery of dynamics alone would take an age to match.
I love Pachelbel but can't say enough how important your particular interpretation is to me. Any other version just doesn't come close. I came to associate this recording with memories of an ex-girlfriend who took her life (I'm no longer sure why I made the connection...) and it always moves me deeply. Whatever it is that you are channeling between the music, your soul, and your talent here has really come to mean a lot to my little world. Thank you so much.

Almost 2 years ago I was at a dark situation, so far away from my home and family. Throughout the negativity destroying my hope in life, I remembered your rendition of Canon in D. When my mind would flash to this song, I was able to calm down and keep the rest of my sanity (words can't describe how it touched my soul, you could say). When I calmed down I was finally able to shed some positive thinking, and to learn about how grateful I should be to the things I have and towards the people who still care about me.
Since then I've had many ups and downs in my life, and today earlier I was becoming mentally frustrated, but at the back of my head I heard this song ringing in my mind, I calmed down yet again, and so here I am. I always wanted to drop a comment to show you how impactful this video made in someone's life, but I would always forget. At last here I type this, wishing the best for you and the music you make.
