When I first heard that Mr Terrific was going to be introduced into Arrow the first detail that was given was that he was going to gay. I'm fine with homosexuality but I feel lile it shouldn't be the main selling point for a character. The media just seems to work so hard just to appease the "politically correct" community, I mean, just look at the Ghostbusters reboot - Hoolllywood has basically gender-swapped all the characters like some sort of fan-fic (besides the fact the reboot'll make $$$ for Hollyywood)
Really, the point I'm making is that the quality of a character shouldn't just be based on their sexuality or race.
I totally agree I hate when they try to shove political correctness down your throat. Just let the character be what he is.

You haven't even seen what they've done with the character and your already assuming that they are going to have him at pride parades. I swear, that term has the be the most over used term in the history of language.
The comic book character is extremely confident and has a genius intellect that surpasses everyone in the Justice Society. This TV version seems to be a nerd that is unsure of himself and timid. They did (at least) make the TV character a former Olympic Decathlon medalist. But they severely watered down his character. I guess they did not want his confidence to outshine Oliver and his intellect to outshine Felicity. I don't mind a little leeway in artistic license, but I don't like what they did with Mr. Terrific
Plus they have supergirl who is his love interest

***** T-Spheres from the get-go, I'd think, since that effect is known since Magneto's escape in X2. Fashionista Felicity will provide the jacket after a running 'Fair Play' joke gets going. No need to meet Holt in Starling, could meet him in Coast City and invite him to Palmer Tech. No mystery about Ray surviving, it was in one of the trailers. If Holt is to be 'LGBT' wouldn't it be a trip if he started out as a woman? Then changed her own sex to male? Tons of off-color (and on the editing room floor!) jokes whenever it comes to "equipping himself". With Caitlin Jenner high-profile, maybe they want to hook that in?

The title of the first episode is Green Arrow so I think its safe to assume Oliver and Felicity come back from their vacation and Oliver becomes the GA in it.

Wow Mr Terrific's new look in the comics is HORRIBLE. The Fairplay jacket was badass as hell. Why does DC always fix what isn't broken?

Why make him gay if he wasn't in the comics ?
The producers wanted to add an LGBT character to the mix. Although I think that they should've stuck w/ the comics, and made him straight. No problem w/ gays, but if he's straight in the comics, he should be straight on the TV show. Like how captain Singh is gay in the comics, and is gay on the show too. But they change up origin stories for certain characters on the show from time to time. Hope that helped

Different take I guess. A lot of these properties like to switch up certain characters a bit, for a fresh perspective. Kinda like how they made Thor a woman in the comics, and Carrie Kelly became Robin in TDKR. I agree that w/ some characters it's best to keep them original, but hey, it's cool either way so I'm fine

I support gay rights always have. my question is tho, why are they turning a lot of the comic book characters who were initially straight into gay or lesbian characters?
I'm all for creating new superhero characters new comic book characters within the DC and Marvel Universe who are gay or lesbian that's perfectly fine.

I have always loved Mr. Terrific. I think teaming him up with Felicity would be great fun. I hope it will be the buddy dynamic I was hoping for her in Season 3 with Ray Palmer.

Arrow totally repackaged and messed up Mr. Terrific. I was hoping a Michael Holt would show up to replace Curtis Holt.
If I'm not mistaken, the only place I've seen him is in the new 52: futures end. He was responsible for bad things happening. Unless that was someone else.
I want to see the classic jacket, I think it makes him look tough which works well since he is also brilliant.

Baron Blitzkrieg, Atom Smasher, Vandal Savage, a lot of the JSA-type stuff going on... So are we going to get some version of Grant Emerson on the DC/CWU? I get I'm one of the few who actually liked Damage, but it would be entertaining, and a great sort of (possible) spinoff for CW that would be as different from Flash and Arrow as they are from each other, since it's essentially The Fugitive with superpowers.

Hopefully they give him the T-spheres and T-mask. It's an essential part of the character that sets him apart from other heroes. I hope they do this character justice.

I get the feeling I'm going to HATE Mr. Terrific. I haven't read the comics but from what I learned in this video he seems like the type of guy who will have a HUGE ego and will really get on my nearves! Please don't replace felicity with this guy.

Wildcat isn't going to be in season 4, cuz the actors doing another show. But ATOM, Hawkgirl, and Sara are going into Legends of Tomorrow by the midseason finale, so it won't seem as crowded. Who knows, maybe Mr. Terrific might go to Legends. Also, the show functioned w/ Black Canary, Speedy, and Diggle before, so it shouldn't be too bad, w/ a good story and plot

Well ideally Mehcad Brooks (Jimmy Olsen in Supergirl) would be perfect as the comic book version of Mr Terrific.and Echo would be perfect as Jimmy Olsen in Supergirl.
Also, am I the only one who wants Oliver to be a billionaire again? I loved seeing him run (or try to run) a company. To me, it made Oliver a better hero because of all the money he had to his disposal. He didn't have to ask others for help and he could pull strings (lol). He was also more likable. The fact that he was a celebrity and had billions yet, went out of his way to help others and create a fair and secure city, to me, makes him more likable.
OK. This is great news and a great casting choice. We can also rule out Franz Drameh character Jay Jackson will not be Mister Terrific.
