Honestly was scared A train was gonna open Ashley's office door and see homelander 😂
Bro! I was screaming to myself that that was it. A-Train dead. The moment there's a break, HL coming in and putting a fist through A-Train's torso. I hope he doesn't peace out for good like Maeve though.
Same here . That was the most tense I've been watching the show in a while. Damn.
The octopus death was shocking honestly but when she started screaming the third time i busted out laughing😂.
I just don’t see how she suffocated so quickly considering she’s always laying in bed with the deep
The black Noir flying scene reminded me of donkey from Shrek. "He can fly!?" "Thats right fool, I'm a flying talking donkey" "He can TALK!?"

Isn't it kind of crazy that they play their version of the Disney channel in a bar where butcher is drinking.
Vought doesnt decide who watches their channel. The bar itself put on vought kids
Bar owner is probably super team homelander, or a patron and they got hyped about Homelanders kid being on TV agreeing with everything they believe.
as a guy who has been to a bar, let me tell you kiddos that butcher just probably put on the remote and put it on himself.
Most bars have a couple tvs just for this, unless a bunch of people are watching something - you can literally just ask to put on the news, weather, or vaught+.
They gotta add that Homelander Webweaver scene as a new Brutality for MK1 for how quick he ripped his body in half
I’m surprised that’s not one of his actual main fatalities 🔥 mk1 needs to add new fatalities for homelander
@-AaronBlack- I'd say this is too short to be a Fatality if your familiar with the Mortal Kombat games, their more lengthy cutscene, where as a Brutality in the games are shorter automatic kills but still an animation that's shown with the character model in game not an animation cutscene
WW seems pretty tuff cz he a supe too, so the scene was not that quick lol ( or just Homelander slowly doing it out of his own pleasure )
@atlas4647 well it was quicker than his plane scene fatality in the game
The deep might actually go off the rails before Homelander. Killed his girlfriend and lost his side piece all in one episode 😂
I loved when web weaver said, "I don't feel so good" like in infinity war
Nice one, I can't believe I didn't notice that in the moment though I was just waiting for his destruction via HL
When Ryan said don't go to commercial, my mind went straight to when Homelander did that in Season 3
The doppelganger must be able to absorb the memories of whoever she touches as she knows about the Starlight costume and the combination to the safe.
I think they will explain that the chameleon has to constantly shed its skin or it will die
@tylerg276 oh okay. That'd be good point. I like how this Chameleon is more messy and disturbing than the other doppelganger, who got killed by Homelander. Leaving a trail of skins could a weakness but absorbing personality and memories is an absolute win

@@NephritduGreythe shapeshifter had the memory of Annie and Hughie's conversation
@NephritduGrey then how does the doppelganger know about Annie's hate of her costume? It had to be through memory. It's the reason why "she" put Hughie to sleep, with the unexpected sex 😂
When Huggie and fake starlight was getting it on . I had a feeling she wasn’t the real starlight, because every time starlight has relations she glows literally.

I laughed so hard on that
Well, maybe Neuman could pop the tumorvirus after extracting it as it likely has blood in it too?
If the tumor itself only has the compound V and not Butcher since his actual powers didn't kick in, most likely
Yeeeaaa now that you mention it that's probably how they're gonna keep butcher in the show.

I think Ashley not leaving and also seing her rebel era photo is essentially the same thing. Just like she let her aissatant and A-train escape, she knows she already made too many mistakes to have a new life, so she will try to give little helps from the inside that only her can give. She's a rebel in a systemical top. I hope she don't end up dying with the revolution....
The fact that she's survived and thrived this long has been amazing. Ashley hella seasoned

About Ambrosius - it might be that she's still alive. She was fine sitting outside the tank for a while and they drew attention that "she can't be out for too long", so her immediately starting to suffocate seems weird. It could be a trick she played to survive and crawl to safety and maybe come back for revenge.
no it’s just the writing. she’s dead. they wouldn’t have made the joke about her gasping 3 times and dying, just for her to be alive still
The doppleganger changing by ripping off its skin could possibly be a supernatural shapeshifter reference
YES I started Supernatural a few days before episode 7 before and I literally watched the shapeshifter episode the day before and I could see the Starlight moment coming
When The Deep and Noir appeared in The Boys office I KNEW A Train will come. Though I expected that it's gonna be over for the Deep and Annie would kill him lol
Also I didn't know the new Noir had powers so I thought MM will come to him after they kill deep with the plane ticket and say something like "Forget about the whole Vought thing, fly to that nice country and start a new life" haha
I really thought the deep was gonna die
Although I kinda didn’t want him to 😂😂😂

Eh that never works with child actors. Audiences lose interest when that side child character is now carrying a franchise unless it’s a really special acting a talent.
Couldn’t the virus weaken Homelander enough so the other supes can rip him apart???
That what I’m thinking will be what takes homelander down by weaking his strength and maybe his heat vision rather then outright killing him
Something I would love to see done for Homelanders ending would be to see him stripped of his powers and left to rot in a normal prison, taking away any power he’s had his whole life
@@ryanmerritt2684 That would be brutal for him. He thinks he's the most superior being with his powers. He doesn't think of himself as a human.

I keep thinking about how they apparently wanted to make a bigger deal of Maeve managing to wound Homelander in the Season 3 finale and then gave up on that idea.
I am glad they revealed to the audience that Starlight was kidnapped and replaced. She trying out the suit was a red flag for me, but not big enough to convince me it was a fake, mostly because her conversation with Hughie was so natural, and also because maybe she was trying to 're-learned' how to use her powers again.
@@aspreedacore Starlight was kidnapped during the Bar Scene with Butcher, so Butcher already knew she didn't have powers during her fight with Deep.

The Shapeshifter is a super deepcut from Supernatural Season-01 originally aired in 2005. Supernatural was also Eric Kripke's baby, thats why he has cast Jensen Ackles, Jeffery Dean Morgan, Alex Calvert, Jim Beaver, etc. only remaining person is Jared Padelicki, who will hopefully come in season-05 of The Boys. If we want to get super Meta, Dean and Sam were meant to kill each other in Supernatural series, but they didnt agree to God's plans and won. We can have Jensen Ackles Soldier Boy, kill Jared Padelicki's character or vice versa, culminating a long super meta plot point. 😂
Padlecki ain’t coming it’s already been said he doesn’t agree with the political ways of the producers and the show In general so unfortunate I mean never say never but I don’t think we will
@@jakelukasik5294Where that was said? Cause in the video the bro showed an article about it.
I literally rewatched that episode of Supernatural yesterday, so no wonder I immediately accepted that fake Annie knew the safe code.
He said he’s a fan of the show so where are you getting this information
I don’t get the whole octopus breathing air or water. Early in the episode the octopus can apparently survive outside of water for a while. Then later in the same episode, it immediately starts to suffocate when it’s tank is broken. Does not make sense.
That’s why she screamed and started begging for help like three times, she was duping the deep
Hmm technically octopus can survive outside of water for a hour if they absorb water before going out. But seeing as it’s a show they can’t spend that time to show an octopus suffocating 💀 so consider it a plot device lol it is a tv show. However she could have just been trying to trick the deep. She is a octopus which are fairly smart and in the boys world sentient
Tbh I'm guessing she was trying to trick him, test his love, or something like that... in my mind she waited until he fucked off, ate the fish she wanted and found her way outta there. You can't keep a good octopus down. You're right... they can last up to half an hour.
Although her water WAS pretty filthy and was probably lacking in oxygen as it was.
@@crazyspartan1468 All sea life in the boys world is sentient, it's just that it's only the deep that can talk to it
I looked up the Jewish space laser and couldn't believe that was a real quote from an American politician 😂
Yeah, like Neuman's "I was just mansplained rape by a guy" thing, what that guy said is a real quote too. They're all real things real republicans have said. Only thing missing so far is "alternative facts"
I liked how the shapeshifter here completely resembled the shapeshifters in Supernatural, a show created by Eric Kripke [showrunner of The Boys].
Homelander Vs Ryan is inevitable right?
He'll leave homelander in the season finale which will finally send him fully over the edge.
I just made that up!
Looking forward to seeing a father and son fight in the final season. But I guess we'll see
Him taking a stand against homelander will probably just be over social media.....
Ryan's scene where he tells them not to cut to the commercial is a direct parallel to Homelander's speech where he says he's the real hero
Homelander ripping Web Weaver to shreds is such gruesome
It's what he did to the those lab scientists in Episode 4 but we didn't get to see it play out. We only saw the aftermath.
Rip A Train, and hughie was assaulted again
Yea I imagine Hughie is gonna have some lasting sexual trauma from these incidents and that'll be a plot point going forward.
Firecracker being genuinely disturbed because of Homelander ripping web weaver in half could be alluding to some sort of interesting development with her
She was shocked that homeland would do that with such little reason to do so. And he did kill him in arguably the most gruesome way we’ve seen so far. Cant blame her lol

Dude i'm gonna be pissed if Starlight gets angry at Hughie. Dude became the punching bag since season 3 after Ashley

@SkyrimGuy5000, yes, having sexual relations....of course, he didn't know it was not Starlight. So we think ....😂

Yeah, I absolutely hate the state of contemporary series. 8-10 episodes is never enough. Bring back 12+ goddammit
Can't believe there are 8 episodes left in the entire series itself
Predicting it now. Kessler takes over Butcher but his vission of Becca saves him by beating Kessler and then taking control of the tumor. Then Butcher and Becca take on Homelander
Sounds awesome but him fighting kessler will be like the fight club climax scene 😅
Could see that. Could even see Homelander killing Ryan possibly out of anger.
@@polrish9570 that would be too abrupt dont you think? For Ryan's fate and character arc

The scene of Ashley looking at a picture of her younger self wearing a Che Guevara t shirt I think is foreshadowing her sticking around to fight the rebellion against Vought/Homelander
I hope you’re right, and I also hope that Stan Edgar is going to have the “Bad Product” sanity snap moments in the comics.
Charlie with the "fuggit get out" real quickly had me laughing
the song features the line “or when sean penn says that supes should stop”, which hilariously implies that in their universe, sean penn is an anti supe activist.

@chickenlittle2206 I think she left it so they could see her plan like you'll regret losing me after you see the plan only I could of done
This shows extremely leftist writers knew about the Trump assassination but too bad the liberal assassin had shit aim
Also want to mention that the shapeshifter power is an Easter egg to Supernatural shapeshifters since they pretty much do the exact same thing in the show
Loved how the Ryan stopping the song was the same as when Homelander broke character during Starlight's speech. Both said "Dont run the commercials".
Homelander ripping Webweaver in half is likely a reference to him being a playable character in Mortal Kombat 1
It looks like there's going to be an office Christmas party at Vought Tower. The last time we saw one of those is when Homelander first met Becca and Billy Butcher.
Food for thought...
It was also a call back when Ryan told them not to cut to commercial, similar to what homelander did in one of the earlier seasons
I think black noirs narcoleptic is a meta joke/ foreshadowing because he is a sleeper agent (to counter homelander). He just has the same powers like homelander but he isn’t a direct clone (like in the comics)
I saw somewhere that said its a joke because the actor naps on set a lot, he had no lines, he had no emote directions because of the mask so he had to pay less attention at meetings.
Webweaver saying "I don't feel so good". Great reference.
Why in the same episode do we see the octopus out of water on the bed doing just fine and then see it die as soon as it leaves water??
One thing I like to point is Ryan’s speech is a lot like homelanders speech when he breaks character and goes against vought for trying to control him, Ryan is basically doing the same thing and also tells Ashley to keep rolling instead of going to commercials just like Homelander did they’re similar scenes but also opposites
"That giant gun"

Ironically its called a minigun🤷
You forgot the foreshadowing that was done in the intro sequence with the A-train puppet laying 'dead' on the chair.
I'm starting to wonder how strong this new Black Noir really is. I'm starting to think his powers are growing and getting stronger.
haha no, they just have utilized him in the show. His powers are not getting stonger dude
I thought he was just an actor filling in for the real Noir and didn't really have any powers so that scene caught me off guard, especially when he started flying.
Really appreciate these breakdowns cuz I forget some of the details between episodes
Sage handing documents to the guy in public while dressed in her 7 outfit was the first clue this was a trap. She dead a bigger plan that might include getting rid of the 7
I feel like if they didn't nerf starlight with her powers on the fritz she would've wiped the floor with the deep. But her digging her fingers into the deep like Homelander would was SO satisfying. I'm also glad the writers remembered that she had super strength too.
why didn't octopussy die earlier when she was out of water?
She had the salt water tank as a refuge. Once it broke, she had nowhere to go because Deep never removed the fresh water fish from the tank behind the bed.
The way the shapeshifter sheds its skin is the same way shapeshifters in supernatural would do so. I thought that was a cool nod to his past work.
The most dangerous person in the show is still Butcher man. Sage, Homelander and the rest of the Boys don't know about the Butcher master plan.
Once Homelander tries to take over the world. I bet money Butcher will tip off the military along with giving them compound V weapons.
Pretty sure at the end the parasite made butcher pass out because he didn’t agree with his view on Ryan and still having hope for him, my guess is Joe is gonna take over with episode 8 and that’s gonna play into season 5
The shape-shifting mechanism in *The Boys* is something else.
"It's totally wild "
its taken from season 1 of supernatural, who is also directed by kriepke
@@meliorbutterfly all shapeshifters/skinwalkers in whichever season of Supernatural is like that.
I’ve got a few perditions for the final episode:
First I have a theory that Sage’s gran strategy is going to upend by a few factors, either by the Tumour controlled Butcher, or the Shinning Light Liberation Army, perhaps even something else.
Second, Butcher’s tumour will by infected by the supe virus, either by Billy’s attempt to purge Joe Kessler from brain, or by the tumour itself in order to transmit and infect Homlander.
Lastly, I believe that Ryan would die in the crossfire between Homelander and Butcher, ethier by accident or by self sacrifice to save as many supes and humans as possible.
Can’t wait for episode 8 of season 4, Assination Run.
The fight scene with The Deep and Black Noir is probably the best fight scene in the show.
I feel Ryan telling Ashley "don't go to commercial " is a reference to Homelander telling Ashley "Don't you f'n go to commercial " before his speech in season 3
At first I thought shapeshifter was gonna be a body swapper
I hope they bring back soldier boy, fully controlled by Mallory in a winter soldier kind of way and he makes homelander normal but leaves him alive as a human.
Can’t wait for God Emperor Homelander next season
I just hear Kylo Ren's,
"More....MORE...MOOORREE!"
while Web Weaver kept pooping/throwing up/shooting webs 😂
SAGE PROBABLY GOT HERSELF FIRED TO GET OUT ALIVE.
But there was no guarantee that Homelander wouldn't have killed her. She got lucky.
HOMELANDER MAYBE A UNPREDICTABLE KILLER.
BUT HE DOES NOT KILL THOSE WHO TRULY SIDE WITH HIM OR, DO NOT BETRAY HIM.
FOR EXAMPLE , HE DID NOT KILL DEEP. HE DID NOT WANT TO KILL MAEVE CAUSE HE ALWAYS THOUGHT SHE WAS ON HER SIDE.
HE IS NOT KILLING VICTORIA NEUMAN.
SAGE KNEW THAT.
SAGE PROBABLY ACTED LIKE SHE WANTED TO BE BY HIS SIDE. AND GOT HERSELF OUT.
I lost it when firecracker said " jewish space laser " lolll
Bro scene killed me 😂
Homelander watching Ryan talk about his mom loving Billy on TV was fascinating. Homelander looked like he was sorry
I am convinced it was Neuman that gave Hughie’s dad the stroke
That's what I had initially thought too. But it doesn't seem like that's what happened. It looks like they are setting up Neuman to team up with The Boys and go after Homelander.
Kylo Ren to The Deep: "let your past die. Kill it, if you have to."
I'm curious about the doppelganger's abilities... because it seems as though they get the originals memories as well as their looks. I mean.. how else would they know about the uniform, the location of the safe, or the combination to it? 🤔🤔
Yes, I think they have the memories of the person they touch. That's a pretty impressive power.
In the series 'Secret Invasion,' the Skrulls had the power to know the memories of whomever they duplicated, but limited to a certain short period back in time. Limited absorption of memories (unless they had them in mind probing machines to do a deeper dive).
The deep- "Guess what!? me too didnt work! womp womp womp!........" like bruhhhh had me rollin.
I'm not sure, but is that the real Black Noir or is that the replacement Black Noir ?
Homelander ripping the dude in half recreating that one comic panel was tough
This is such a great series hate that we only get one more season Thanks Charlie
I chuckled abit when MM was talking to A train and said he doesn't recognize himself when he looks in the mirror ,us too buddy,us too!😅
I like how web weaver says “I don’t feel so good”
I don't feel like its unreasonable to assume that Kessler will take over Butchers body for good and become the evil butcher portrayed in the comics. He could be a huge antagonist in S5 as they try to defeat or save him from his own mind.
Off topic but I can see Ryan playing a younger Spock from Star Trek
I knew when the “random starlight fan” at the bar had to be the doppelgänger. When starlight walked in the room with her supe outfit on it you could tell it wasn’t her. I love the ending and it was a very goooood episode can’t wait till next week.
Overall great episode settling thing up nicely for the finale
Good on ryan that he didnt become a puppet of his dad.

Wt one point Webweaver said I don't feel so good, which is mostly likely a reference to infinity war when Spiderman was saying his last words to Tony Stark.
Why is nobody commenting on the fact that the shapeshifter is a direct Supernatural reference. Like the shapeshifters blink the same way and they even shapeshift the same way.
Butcher definitely has a kid with Maeve too
@@BonganiM-xb4wc I'm guessing when she came over to give Billy the Compound V, plus Homelander said her eggs(Pretty sure it was the eggs, if not the ovary) were pretty strong and could make a strong being. To the point where Homelander said he'll harvest it from her if he had too.
I didn't know Hughie and Vicky's actors are dating irl. So that explains a lot before Sameer appeared, I always thought they had this romantic/sexual tension in their scenes together.
I legit thought there was going to be a love triangle last season. Vicky just had this genuine loving look on her face when she's around Hughie. It's really just the actress loving Hughie
I thought Sage was talking about Maeve when she said to Homelander that there’s one person he can’t defeat without her. Then it zoomed in on the notebook with Maeve on the cover, maybe I overthought it
It can't be Maeve. She's no longer a supe. I miss her a lot, though

This episode and the last have sat weird with me. The part with Homelander killing Webweaver was so raw and viscerally showed what he did to others in the bad room, but my heart can't really fuck with the show with how they're treating Hughie. His dad dies, he gets raped, and then he gets raped again? All in a 3 episode span? It's too much even for a show with this much dismemberment and disgust like it transcends the show's issues and comes to real life logic. Season 1 was all about Starlight's rape, and here they're sweeping Hughie's baggage under the rug and telling him to suck it up.
I am confused about Ambrosius. In their scene, she is out on the bed with Deep reading poetry. When he breaks her tank, she almost instantly starts gasping for air...... ???

Hey Charlie thanks for calling out Newman and Hughies on screen chemistry I noticed that too way back. Then found out later their actors are together lol.
Here me out, but the supe virus attaches to a compound V in their veins. Thats why it doesn't effect normal people. So how would it effect Butcher? He's dying because of a V powered tumour, but the compound V is in his tumour, not in him. So wouldn't injecting Butcher with the virus just kill the tumour, allowing for him to have a happy ending?
