I think the writing is getting lazy and the over the top violence (while always cool) is just not able to hold up an entire show. You can see everything coming as far as the main through line.

Here me out, but the supe virus attaches to a compound V in their veins. Thats why it doesn't effect normal people. So how would it effect Butcher? He's dying because of a V powered tumour, but the compound V is in his tumour, not in him. So wouldn't injecting Butcher with the virus just kill the tumour, allowing for him to have a happy ending?

as a guy who has been to a bar, let me tell you kiddos that butcher just probably put on the remote and put it on himself. Most bars have a couple tvs just for this, unless a bunch of people are watching something - you can literally just ask to put on the news, weather, or vaught+.
@-AaronBlack- I'd say this is too short to be a Fatality if your familiar with the Mortal Kombat games, their more lengthy cutscene, where as a Brutality in the games are shorter automatic kills but still an animation that's shown with the character model in game not an animation cutscene

Just like she let her aissatant and A-train escape, she knows she already made too many mistakes to have a new life, so she will try to give little helps from the inside that only her can give. She's a rebel in a systemical top. I hope she don't end up dying with the revolution....

About Ambrosius - it might be that she's still alive. She was fine sitting outside the tank for a while and they drew attention that "she can't be out for too long", so her immediately starting to suffocate seems weird. It could be a trick she played to survive and crawl to safety and maybe come back for revenge.
YES I started Supernatural a few days before episode 7 before and I literally watched the shapeshifter episode the day before and I could see the Starlight moment coming
When The Deep and Noir appeared in The Boys office I KNEW A Train will come. Though I expected that it's gonna be over for the Deep and Annie would kill him lol
Also I didn't know the new Noir had powers so I thought MM will come to him after they kill deep with the plane ticket and say something like "Forget about the whole Vought thing, fly to that nice country and start a new life" haha

Eh that never works with child actors. Audiences lose interest when that side child character is now carrying a franchise unless it’s a really special acting a talent.
Something I would love to see done for Homelanders ending would be to see him stripped of his powers and left to rot in a normal prison, taking away any power he’s had his whole life
I keep thinking about how they apparently wanted to make a bigger deal of Maeve managing to wound Homelander in the Season 3 finale and then gave up on that idea.
I am glad they revealed to the audience that Starlight was kidnapped and replaced. She trying out the suit was a red flag for me, but not big enough to convince me it was a fake, mostly because her conversation with Hughie was so natural, and also because maybe she was trying to 're-learned' how to use her powers again.
The Shapeshifter is a super deepcut from Supernatural Season-01 originally aired in 2005. Supernatural was also Eric Kripke's baby, thats why he has cast Jensen Ackles, Jeffery Dean Morgan, Alex Calvert, Jim Beaver, etc. only remaining person is Jared Padelicki, who will hopefully come in season-05 of The Boys. If we want to get super Meta, Dean and Sam were meant to kill each other in Supernatural series, but they didnt agree to God's plans and won. We can have Jensen Ackles Soldier Boy, kill Jared Padelicki's character or vice versa, culminating a long super meta plot point. 😂

I don’t get the whole octopus breathing air or water. Early in the episode the octopus can apparently survive outside of water for a while. Then later in the same episode, it immediately starts to suffocate when it’s tank is broken. Does not make sense.
Hmm technically octopus can survive outside of water for a hour if they absorb water before going out. But seeing as it’s a show they can’t spend that time to show an octopus suffocating 💀 so consider it a plot device lol it is a tv show. However she could have just been trying to trick the deep. She is a octopus which are fairly smart and in the boys world sentient

@@rdrb8329 It is possible to surgically remove brain tumors. So perhaps the boys will freeze butcher's in liquid nitrogen and by extension the tumor and remove it from his body. This probably will not happen but it's a theory.
The scene of Ashley looking at a picture of her younger self wearing a Che Guevara t shirt I think is foreshadowing her sticking around to fight the rebellion against Vought/Homelander
the song features the line “or when sean penn says that supes should stop”, which hilariously implies that in their universe, sean penn is an anti supe activist.
Also want to mention that the shapeshifter power is an Easter egg to Supernatural shapeshifters since they pretty much do the exact same thing in the show

I think black noirs narcoleptic is a meta joke/ foreshadowing because he is a sleeper agent (to counter homelander). He just has the same powers like homelander but he isn’t a direct clone (like in the comics)
I saw somewhere that said its a joke because the actor naps on set a lot, he had no lines, he had no emote directions because of the mask so he had to pay less attention at meetings.
One thing I like to point is Ryan’s speech is a lot like homelanders speech when he breaks character and goes against vought for trying to control him, Ryan is basically doing the same thing and also tells Ashley to keep rolling instead of going to commercials just like Homelander did they’re similar scenes but also opposites
I thought he was just an actor filling in for the real Noir and didn't really have any powers so that scene caught me off guard, especially when he started flying.
Sage handing documents to the guy in public while dressed in her 7 outfit was the first clue this was a trap. She dead a bigger plan that might include getting rid of the 7
I feel like if they didn't nerf starlight with her powers on the fritz she would've wiped the floor with the deep. But her digging her fingers into the deep like Homelander would was SO satisfying. I'm also glad the writers remembered that she had super strength too.
She had the salt water tank as a refuge. Once it broke, she had nowhere to go because Deep never removed the fresh water fish from the tank behind the bed.
The most dangerous person in the show is still Butcher man. Sage, Homelander and the rest of the Boys don't know about the Butcher master plan. Once Homelander tries to take over the world. I bet money Butcher will tip off the military along with giving them compound V weapons.
Pretty sure at the end the parasite made butcher pass out because he didn’t agree with his view on Ryan and still having hope for him, my guess is Joe is gonna take over with episode 8 and that’s gonna play into season 5
I’ve got a few perditions for the final episode: First I have a theory that Sage’s gran strategy is going to upend by a few factors, either by the Tumour controlled Butcher, or the Shinning Light Liberation Army, perhaps even something else. Second, Butcher’s tumour will by infected by the supe virus, either by Billy’s attempt to purge Joe Kessler from brain, or by the tumour itself in order to transmit and infect Homlander. Lastly, I believe that Ryan would die in the crossfire between Homelander and Butcher, ethier by accident or by self sacrifice to save as many supes and humans as possible. Can’t wait for episode 8 of season 4, Assination Run.

I hope they bring back soldier boy, fully controlled by Mallory in a winter soldier kind of way and he makes homelander normal but leaves him alive as a human.

I'm curious about the doppelganger's abilities... because it seems as though they get the originals memories as well as their looks. I mean.. how else would they know about the uniform, the location of the safe, or the combination to it? 🤔🤔
In the series 'Secret Invasion,' the Skrulls had the power to know the memories of whomever they duplicated, but limited to a certain short period back in time. Limited absorption of memories (unless they had them in mind probing machines to do a deeper dive).
I don't feel like its unreasonable to assume that Kessler will take over Butchers body for good and become the evil butcher portrayed in the comics. He could be a huge antagonist in S5 as they try to defeat or save him from his own mind.
I knew when the “random starlight fan” at the bar had to be the doppelgänger. When starlight walked in the room with her supe outfit on it you could tell it wasn’t her. I love the ending and it was a very goooood episode can’t wait till next week.
Wt one point Webweaver said I don't feel so good, which is mostly likely a reference to infinity war when Spiderman was saying his last words to Tony Stark.

I didn't know Hughie and Vicky's actors are dating irl. So that explains a lot before Sameer appeared, I always thought they had this romantic/sexual tension in their scenes together. I legit thought there was going to be a love triangle last season. Vicky just had this genuine loving look on her face when she's around Hughie. It's really just the actress loving Hughie

This episode and the last have sat weird with me. The part with Homelander killing Webweaver was so raw and viscerally showed what he did to others in the bad room, but my heart can't really fuck with the show with how they're treating Hughie. His dad dies, he gets raped, and then he gets raped again? All in a 3 episode span? It's too much even for a show with this much dismemberment and disgust like it transcends the show's issues and comes to real life logic. Season 1 was all about Starlight's rape, and here they're sweeping Hughie's baggage under the rug and telling him to suck it up.

I keep thinking about how they apparently wanted to make a bigger deal of Maeve managing to wound Homelander in the Season 3 finale and then gave up on that idea.
I am glad they revealed to the audience that Starlight was kidnapped and replaced. She trying out the suit was a red flag for me, but not big enough to convince me it was a fake, mostly because her conversation with Hughie was so natural, and also because maybe she was trying to 're-learned' how to use her powers again.
The first red flag was fighting deep without using her powers

Supernatural was also Eric Kripke's baby, thats why he has cast Jensen Ackles, Jeffery Dean Morgan, Alex Calvert, Jim Beaver, etc. only remaining person is Jared Padelicki, who will hopefully come in season-05 of The Boys. If we want to get super Meta, Dean and Sam were meant to kill each other in Supernatural series, but they didnt agree to God's plans and won. We can have Jensen Ackles Soldier Boy, kill Jared Padelicki's character or vice versa, culminating a long super meta plot point. 😂

I don’t get the whole octopus breathing air or water. Early in the episode the octopus can apparently survive outside of water for a while. Then later in the same episode, it immediately starts to suffocate when it’s tank is broken. Does not make sense.

First I have a theory that Sage’s gran strategy is going to upend by a few factors, either by the Tumour controlled Butcher, or the Shinning Light Liberation Army, perhaps even something else.
Second, Butcher’s tumour will by infected by the supe virus, either by Billy’s attempt to purge Joe Kessler from brain, or by the tumour itself in order to transmit and infect Homlander.
Lastly, I believe that Ryan would die in the crossfire between Homelander and Butcher, ethier by accident or by self sacrifice to save as many supes and humans as possible.
Can’t wait for episode 8 of season 4, Assination Run.
The fight scene with The Deep and Black Noir is probably the best fight scene in the show.

This episode and the last have sat weird with me. The part with Homelander killing Webweaver was so raw and viscerally showed what he did to others in the bad room, but my heart can't really fuck with the show with how they're treating Hughie. His dad dies, he gets raped, and then he gets raped again? All in a 3 episode span? It's too much even for a show with this much dismemberment and disgust like it transcends the show's issues and comes to real life logic. Season 1 was all about Starlight's rape, and here they're sweeping Hughie's baggage under the rug and telling him to suck it up.
