The tutorials on Drums of Mr. Kenny are unmatched. Any Rock lover must stop here ( and in every tutorial of this channel, the work is awesome and world class ); the lesson about the big snare sound of the '80s is mythological! Way to go Mr Kenny 🖤 thanks for bringing the joys of mixing, mastering and manipulating sounds in the digital domain to the people, viva Reaper
Great stuff as always! I appreciate that you're demonstrating A/B'ing all changes to see if they're actually making the track better. Also helpful, is listen to any changes in context with the rest of the tracks, checking for masking of frequencies we're boosting/cutting. (And comparing to a good reference track). YESSS! The 1175 parallel comp is always a favorite move. :^)
Awesome!!! Been waiting on one like this for a while! Keep it up. And yes…. Kontakt routing video would be wonderful! I know not everybody has drums with Kontakt, but a lot of people do !
How to tell Reaper to send the kick from slate drums to the kick track, the snare to the snare track, and so on? Do I need to use the "Route" button on that tracks, to select some input from slate drums?
Hey man, your videos are very educational and have helped me a lot. But I have a problem with Instagram. When I upload a drum cover on Instagram it compresses and saturates the sound a lot. Could you explain the best way to mix drums for Instagram? Should LUFS be considered? Thank you!

More good advice! Thanks Kenny!!
It would also be awesome to see video about mixing Kontakt drum libraries on your Channel, man
I recently shelled out for the full SSD5 and it comes with a killer 'Black Album' kit that, with a bit of fiddling, sounds remarkably accurate.
Well done

Why do you use routing for the reverb, and not add it directly to the track like the other effects? 12:01
Because it's less taxing for the CPU, and besides, reverb is traditionally applied to the overall kit anyway.
