This looks interesting. I'd like an overtrail option with the 3rd row. Wish the second row was adjustable to add some leg room like on previous models.
It was cool to meet you guys ( I was the dude with the long hair that checked yall in at the front)
Hope yall had a good time and come back next year.
We remember you, that's awesome! We hope to see you next year!
GX Overland needs AC Vents on roof like premium model, and third row option.
Good testing. Impressed with the Taco's new rear suspension. Having the weight of the tent and rack on the back probably helped too.
The front ends for the new GX is way more user friendly with the components you can remove. I can’t wait to see what the after market does for more clearance
Great video. I'm surprised ATRAC did not immediately stop the spinning wheels and get the GX out of that first mogul hump w/o engaging the read locker.
Thank you so much for testing the GX out. I can't wait to buy one. Seems like the Taco actually did better in the mogul run though! i also never knew i would need to go into 4low to enable the rear locker
Beautiful location!
When's the Hipster Score coming back to the channel?
Man not soon enough!
Maybe, weasting diesel guy will do the true torture test for the beautiul Lexus.🤣
Weasting Diesal, lmao!
Lexus- Long Beach to Texas
In one of your previous videos you made a statement that the shifting in the Tacoma was not quite the same as it was. Have you talked further on this issue on another video?
We have not covered it yet, but will on a video going up this weekend. Long story short, there is nothing mechanically wrong. It appears that the self learning was adjusting between our different driving styles and routes on daily basis between Craig and Bryan.
GX had to be in 4Low to engage ATRAC. Its painful to watch those that don't know how to utilize Toyota traction control systems
How are you liking your Tacoma?
We are really liking it. We do have a few things we want to work on. More on that soon.
Seems to me Jeep never does these media stunts with the wrangler. These Toyotas are fine off road for IFS, but I always want to see a stock wrangler rubicon as the benchmark, to show how big the void in capability really is.
Our previous long term truck was a gladiator. Sadly we never made it to Barnwell. But we did test it on our hill test and in the Ozarks.
Sadly the Jeep stuck on road. Toyota/ Lexus are the best of onroad/offroad/dependability.
Cant decide between these 2
The GX has better articulation and shorter wheelbase, better platform
Both are screaming for 35-in tires.
I mean even a RAV-4 could handle those trails 🤷♂️
Not without damage.
Engineer issues and engine failure reported
Tundra :
3.5-liter V-6 turbocharged engine:
waste gate issue/small block replacement due to main baring issues / and on LC 300 problems such as Oil consumption and surging issues.
These engines are not Twin turbo. This is a Sequential turbo and Toyota named them twins for no reason.
total failure of Toyota reliability and engineering along with poor quality control.
Will see how this 4-cylinder turbocharge engine works because Toyota modified this engine for Body on Frame vehicles.. issues coming soon once consumers gets them .
These new gens are where Toyota quality is going to start declining
Yay let’s off road a $90k vehicle 🙄
71k, but who is counting 😬
