Plz fix my Mazda mirror!!
When I watched this video i was horrified for how much work needs to be done to change one little motor,i order it and i change it in 1h50min,works as new, thank you
The first time, I used approximately the same time, and then after some practise, it was around 1h, but we repaired hundreds of them.
Very labour intensive, thanks for the upload.
Excellent tutorial - helped me loads
Can i use a carburetor cleaner instead of spray you used for my mirrors?
good job mr jack ❤❤
Hi,
Where is your garage located?
Amazing videos!
In one of your comments you state that the replacement motor is determined by VIN? I would expect those motors to be pretty common across model years.
Yes VIN is necessary, and they are pretty common so no problem with availability.
Hello great video! Can you advice where I can buy the motor for wing mirror? I have tried couple of websites but they only have whole wing mirror units? Thanks!
Thanks, Mazda dealership only, based on VIN
@@JB_Auto Thank you. I will try to find one of them.👍
👏
How much the motor costs
I've got this exact issue on a 2015 Mazda 3. I hardly ever use the folding ability and wondered if theres a quicker way of just disabling the motor? (I still want the flasher and electric mirror to work of course)
Hi, I've been asked many times about that. The fastest way is to remove the connector from the folding motor. So, remove the mirror glass, and You should be able to reach the connector; if there is no access, remove the top garnish. You can do that without the removal of the whole mirror.
@@JB_Auto Thanks for the reply! I'll have another look at your video and give it a go.
Hello! Very interested video. Can you give me the article name of this mechanism for mazda CX-3?
Hi, Parts are available only at the dealership by VIN
@@JB_Auto Dear, can you Please write the name article of your part?
@@slivkimarket That's not possible, because there is many options, and that is assigned to Vehicle Identification Number that is VIN, therefore you need to visit your dealership and order the part based on VIN.
@@JB_Auto There is no Mazda dealer in my country. That's why I ask you at least the approximate article of the model, and there I'll see for myself whether it suits me or not. Can you tell me?
I removed the number 10 fuse for folding mirrors and it still keeps making the noise like it’s trying to move the mirror how can I stop that just want to disconect it
Hi, remove the top garnish from the mirror housing to get access to the power supply wiring and disconnect it from the mirror motor.
Very common problem for mazda
mirror not folding may be caused by the motor actuator in the mirror which is a relativity cheap fix & just get your mazda dealer to fix it as they know what their doing & don't have to follow a UA-cam vid to do it
Don’t know how it looks like in other countries, but in Europe dilerships repairs are very costly, regardless of what you fixing.
Impressive video but for a complete novice like myself it looks like a total ball ache, especially if you haven’t got a suitable garage space to work on it!
Thanks, regarding the space you just need good weather for two hours, and if you follow the instructions on the video it should be a breeze🙂
@@JB_Auto That really sucks that you have to take the door apart to replace the motor for the mirror. A two hour job. I'll make sure I never buy a car with folding mirrors.
It's not that bad, first time it shouldn't take more than one and a half hours, second time will be faster🙂
@@JB_Auto Ok thanks. Looks like I will probably do this job. My understanding is that there is a TSB related to this issue, somehow water gets in to the motor. Did you do anything to avoid that with the new motor.?
@@wally8404 It was supposed to be modified and sealed better, and do not use them during winter time. In my opinion those internal parts are too fragile.
Job took me 4,5 hours complete nightmare. Some broken pins. I would rather prefer manual folding mirrors for sure instead of this rubbish.
Do u think it will be covered in warranty .?
Yes, if within warranty periode.
Within 5 years I was told by a UK Mazda dealer
