Overflowing with color, beauty, history and a beat all its own, it wasn’t hard for us to get a feel for why that famous song was filmed in this captivating city, we hope you can feel it too 💃 Get excited for our next eppy as we prepare for our “moving to Portugal” series to commence! We are so grateful for each and every one of you… thank you for supporting us as we adventure towards our dreams ❤️ Mr and Mrs A
I'm a local and I live in Old San Juan. We do drip coffee but that's more of a thing when we're at our house or at a very specific coffee shop. And no, Puerto Rico Arts and Crafts its not the only store that sells stuff from local artisans. There are A LOT of stores that sell local handmade stuff in Old San Juan. But us locals don't really buy from them because we buy them cheaper at the artisan fairs. We like buying directly from the artisans.
It felt like we were right alongside you! 💖☕🦎 Loved this episode in Old San Juan! We had been there on a cruise years ago but didn't see even a fraction of what you saw. Such a beautiful city that you could spend a lot of time! Love you guys! 😊
Wow! Who knew Puerto Rico could be so cool! Thanks for this series. So glad you guys had such an awesome adventure! I will have to add it to my bucket list.
You will have a wonderful time!! My dad’s friend treated us to dinner at La Lanterna if you are looking for a special evening out ✨ We recommend reservations and request the outdoor patio if it’s available 💕
Thank you for taking us on such a historical journey in old San Juan … what incredible architecture! It is hard to believe that this island was devastated in 2017 by Hurricane Maria? Safe travels Drew & Britt ❤️🇦🇺🤗🌞
I was impressed that you knew of La Perla, I’m Puerto Rican and owned a small home in Rincon & when we visited San Juan as a kid our parents warned us of La Perla & it always stuck with me. Thanks for sharing. 💕💕
Wow! Such a great video full of love, laughter, and color! Also thanks for advertising the Catalina crunch!! I’d never heard of it so out it in the shopping list as it’s at our local store!! ❤
Been there MANY years ago off a cruise ship! I loved seeing the flamenco dancing. Like I said this was many years ago and interesting then where soldiers were all about. (80’s) and we walked on that fort. Did they still do that?
I am Puerto Rican and watching this video brings back memories from when I was a kid visiting. So many things have changed too. Things they did not have before.
Wow, you made Old San Juan look so interseting and beautiful 🎬🌎👌 I loved the authenticity and spontaneity of your journey. 🤩 What was your favorite attraction in your recent trip? can't wait for the next vlog
Puerto Rico is on my bucket list. Ur pretty dress flowed in the breeze. Beautiful. Seems like it hubby's best part of this trip is the food. Much love from Colorado U.S.A.
You’re so sweet, that dress was a gift from Drew and was actually the only item of my clothing that survived the hurricane… we found it hanging on a screw on one of the raw studs in the bottom portion of the house that hurricane Ian wiped out. I love that dress even more now 🥹🙏💕
Brittany & Drew, I take a deep breath with you when you start your videos! 🤣 lol Your videos are so awesome and interesting! I can tell you put alot of work, hours, and time into them! Most subs don't realize all the work that goes into producing good quality UA-cam videos, like yours! Thanks to you, Drew & Brittany, I was surprised to see that much of PR is rebuilt from the terrible hurricane and thriving again! Ft Myers Beach will thrive again too, just like PR. Love you guys and thanks for sharing!
Thank you for taking us along on this beautiful adventure adventure! This was a fun video! I especially appreciated the information about all of the sights. (It is funny that you would think about SLV when you saw that cat. Yes, they are in Bali. Their new cat is going to be amazing!)
The rainbow at the end was the icing on the cake. Glad you guys enjoyed!!! I love going but hate leaving!!! 😢 PR has a certain kinda a magical enchanting vibe!!! 🪘🍹🇵🇷🛶🏝️
Although you were calling the Castillo San Felipe del Morro a national park, it's not actually a true one, but it is owned by the National Park Service as part of the San Juan National Historic Site.
I was in the Marines stationed there from January 1970 till October 1972. It was nice then and looks like a lot has changed. I plan on going back to visit soon.
God bless your marriage and travel adventures. Thank you for your business for our people and economy. Puerto rico is your home as well. Peace love and happiness.
Thanks for the food recommendation. I ordered some and look forward to it arriving. Nice to find something that's recommended as tasting good without a lot of extra sugar in it.
Seems that you really enjoyed EL VIEJO SAN JUAN. A couple of things,,, Cristobal Colon arrived in Puerto Rico in 1493. The ticket to get into El Morro can be used to enter the other Fort San Cristobal. La Perla, even though has a bad reputation, since the filming of DESPACITO is SAFE for tourists. The stories you may have heard of tourist having problems, all have been, of "tourists" going there looking to buy drugs, and getting in the wrong areas of La Perla.
So much cool stuff to see. Thanks so much for sharing with us. I guess that is an iguana. Kinda cool yet creepy. He looks like he could BITE. HUGS to you both. See you in Portugal.
How wonderful it is... sea around... but as you are going to live in Portugal 🇵🇹 you would meat the other huge Portuguese speaking county Brazil...you would love it...huge and fool of history and climates... lots of history from other countries, European and how the local habits have their different heritage.... there was a time in 1970 when many Portuguese moved to Brazil also... history will help learn about all the 1500 events and how Brasil, South America, was popping🎉💫
"Constructed in 1521, Casa Blanca served as the initial fortification for the San Juan islet and was intended to be the residence of Juan Ponce de León and his family. However, de León passed away during an expedition to Florida without ever residing in the house. Ponce de León was fatally wounded by a poisoned arrow and passed away in Havana, Cuba. He was interred in Puerto Rico; his tomb is located inside the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista in San Juan."
American who goes to PR and you didn't go to Guavate, and you didn't eat suckling pig from there, let me tell you that it's like not going to PR. because there you can eat the authentic roast suckling pig and rice with pigeon peas "Guavate"El Racho Original", you have to look for that place, if not, don't stop, until you get there
we explored all around the entire island and loved it! We ended our 3 weeks of exploration in Old San Juan, you should watch the whole series 🤗 ua-cam.com/video/pOn8Pv8DvD8/v-deo.html
Not to be rude but may I ask why you were not wearing life jackets when you were in the water and sea? I’m asking innocently so don’t come for me y’all
@@Mrandmrsadventure I'm speaking of European Colonizers. Not sure I made that clear but it is an important distinction to the people who live in many of the places you travel. I think you have kind and caring hearts and wouldn't be hurtful intentionally. I hope my comment also didn't feel hurtful to you.

This series has given me a sense of Puerto Rico and it’s charms that I didn’t have before!
We will be in San Juan this Saturday, so I took notes from your video! Thank you for sharing your adventures!

Oh my! Last April we were there, and it was awesome! We also walked out to the castle/tower from a coffee shop❤
Puerto Rico, what a beatuful and interesting place. Never even thought of going there, but now I really want to go. Thanks for the film. 💖
I've really enjoyed this Puerto Rico series!!
Aww thank you!! Makes us so happy to hear 🤗💕
The forts in PR are the best!
Thank you for your kindness to others, your smiles and the joy you share with all of us. Thank you ❤️

Nice! We don’t recall seeing soldiers in or near the fort anywhere.
Love your dress Brittany! We want to go just to hear the frogs at night. Everything else is just bonus. What a great day full of new experiences

Beautiful area! We love empanadas ever since we lived in Panama. Can't find many good ones here in Omaha. Loved the meat and cheese emapanadas.

Was born and raised in Puerto Rico and Old San Juan never gets old.
La Perla is safe and I highly recommend. It reputation was in the past like Harlem New York which has bus tours now.

Siempre sean bienvenidos me alegro que les guste mi isla del encanto ❤.😊
Yes, her dress is beautiful!
That bike ride was pretty, but treacherous 😬😄
I have been there in PR, before you guys were born.

Yes! my stepmom is Portuguese and my dad lived there for 8 years. Brazil was the 1st international trip Drew and I ever took together in 2010 ❤️
@@Mrandmrsadventure how wonderful and already heaving some background in the history surely adds to your new life💝

You need to go to the old San Juan cemetery Just some of the dates on the graves is wow
This seems enjoyable
Good morning from NJ 🌴🚐💙

Awesome
To bad someone told you not to visit LaPerla. It is ok to visit during the day. You missed a very interesting part of PR.
We try to respect the wishes of the local people in the places we go and it was recommended to us not to go there and film.
@@Mrandmrsadventure thats right no filming but you can go there.
pretty sure Ponce de Leon did not discover florida :)
Just Google “who discovered florida” 😉
i will. but what about the people who were already there?

ewe, pigeons mean poop!!!
🤣😂 luckily we escaped unscathed 😅

Part of this Spanish
Srsly, it isn’t discovering if people are already there.
Each person who goes someplace new is discovering it in there own unique way
