Nice time lapse work on the video! The rustic outhouse looks great! I bet some solar twinkle lights would be a nice touch for the night time thrown time!
Very well done hard work!!, congratulations!!. 🏆. Very nice detail to give a tree to your neighbour!! 🌳 You deserve the throne you have fight for!! 🎉. Happy poops!!! 🤭 Take care or yourselves!! A big hug!! ✨✨🤗✨✨
That's a very smart outhouse 🚽👌 You can dress it up with lovely hanging plant baskets and dig a lemongrass garden around it to keep mosquitos 🦟 and flies 🪰 away. Not a crappy 💩 job at all 😂😂😂 Britney, I dare you to hang a chandelier in it....
Cat purrs are really good for your health. Has to do with their frequency. It’s good that Minou was cuddling with you and purring when you were under the weather. She wanted to help you heal.
Your "iceplant" on the riverbank, is what we call in RSA 'hotnotsvygie', translated 'bushman's fig'. They are very medicinal, you break off a piece and squeeze the juice out, perfect for burn wounds, mosquito bites, sunburn, blisters (on the lip), skin irritations, rash amongst others. It'll grow a pretty pink flower and creep/rank in semi sun/shade.
Again you two are a testament to your parents♥️. They raised two very hardworking and beautiful adults. Shout out your the parents. Love you Brittany and Drew💕💙. I’d even use that she outhouse 😊
You can really save time by having a well organized tool shed. Drew knows the value of cleaning up and clearing up after every work session. It pays off in the long run and keeps your blood pressure down.

We go camping in the bush and sitting round the fire at night, someone grabs the spade and says excuse me, and we walk into the bush and do what we ever had to do. Greetings from South Africa
It’s amazing how Drew tore down the old outhouse & reused the wood/nails & rebuilt it piece by piece on your property. Better built than the original structure. Drew can do anything. Most people would have just torn down the old outhouse & used the wood for firewood. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰
@@timothydavis3703 If you recall, one of the recent adverts was for prenatal vitamins. I figure they'll let us know when they have/want news to share. :D
Congratulations on your new addition. You guys make me exhausted just watching you work. Props to you and your crew. The proverbial elephant is getting smaller by the day.
Another great video! 👋👋 It reminded me of Little House on the Prairie. 🤩 When I was a kid, while playing in the yard, I had a misfortune of stepping on a board with some large nails sticking out. Yes, ouch! I never forgot that incident so whenever I am doing projects that involve boards and nails, I make sure that I either remove them, bang them down or make sure they are facing towards the ground. Watching you guys demolishing the outhouse with all those nails sticking out reminded me of my experience. It's easy to lose our balances with all those logs all around. 🙏🥰🥰
Awesome outhouse, it has a mountain cabin vibe. It looks like it was quite a challenge getting it back together, but it does look like it was worth the effort. Great views as well, no door needed.👌❤️
The outhouse is fabulous! Try planting climbers on the sides, like Nasturtium, Honeysuckle or Jasmine as they will create a nice bio setting for pollinators, which will serve your garden and the roots will help with grounding it. Drew, you are the Man! Stay blessed ❤
I remember my Mum teaching me to always look up and check the rafters before sitting on the farm outhouse throne. It is so much harder to run away if there is a snake is up there and your pants are around your ankles ! 😂😂😂 you might want to put in some solar lighting for those night time visits. 🌟🌛
I knew Drew is a hard worker. But wow! Brittany and Drew had to really use their brains to figure out how best to document the log loo structure. Then the setting up of cameras to get the time lapses and all the angles of logs being fit together. I just wonder how many hours this one project/video took? How long did just the edit take? Y’all work hard for your money. Subscribe to Mr. and Mrs. Adventure. I watched the video from your van trip in Portugal from 6 years ago. It was a cute video with lots of beautiful scenery. My only complaint was you cut from scene to scene too fast for my 68 year old brain to process. But you have definitely honed and perfected your craft. Well done. I especially loved the music in this one.
Thank you so much for this thoughtful and appreciative comment 🙏 With me being sick and other projects demanding Drew’s attention at the same time, the “loo” took about 3 weeks before it was 100% complete 😅 and the edit, most take about 30-40 hours from start to finish. It’s a job that definitely demands my focus and discipline weekly, but I am so very grateful for the ability to be creative and share our lives with you 🙏💪 You all keep us inspired beyond words 💖
Drew, while watching you backing up Toni, it occurred to me that you might consider putting a hitch on the front of your truck. It's great for backing trailers in tight & curvy places. Also, will you be plastering the exterior red brick? Lastly, I love both of you. Watching makes me calm, anxiety gone. It you put out a video daily, I might just start to appear normal. 😅😅😅
A front hitch would be useful and cool. Yes, the red bricks will need to be sealed and rendered eventually. The amount of work to put out a daily video is pretty crazy. You never know 🤪❤️
Not "até já"...Pace yourself in there😂. It is funny sometimes when we are away from the situation and we can see It much clear. When you started reomoving the small pieces.
You've worked so hard but a nice treatment of protection and a little natural colour would make your experience every time you need to Mmm you know, it would look great. Xxx
We use a urine separator and then put wood chips in bucket after every #2 (absolutely no smell) and compost it after. For #1 we dug a deep trench to channel it far underground. Hope that helps!
I think they decided to reuse the outhouse on their property until the plumbing and interior construction is done in the mill. They can use it now rather than their current method of digging a hole to bury waste.
Without treatment, those logs will eventually rot, whether its dry rot or wet. I recommend shou-sugi-ban, the ancient Japanese wood treatment. They have temples over 1,000 yrs old still as strong as when built. If interested in a different build, Shawn James built a strong post type outhouse. ua-cam.com/video/Ytu3wc_qIy4/v-deo.html I've had neighbors build the containment like an actual septic tank so it could be pumped out when full. If its hand dug, one day it will be full and if it can't be pumped, it will have to be moved and started over. I have a kitty that loves corn on the cob and she plays fetch with me.
There is something slightly disturbing about the handling of second hand wooden toilet, and no disinfectant involved. Well I suppose it could open your immune system to new worlds.🤗
Show us a bit of other chores like what you eat, drives into town..even when and how you do your laundry. The constant building, especially filming step by step projects can get monotonous.

Hey, I have a tip: the roof of the toilet is facing backwards, rainwater will flow down to the back of the terrace and it would be nice if it was directed to the front of the terrace to flow off it, so some kind of drainage or channel would be useful there.
It's actually best this direction for two reason. - Water near the back wall helps the terrace retain the water for absorption. Goof or the garden and future trees. - The water running off the front would make a waterfall to get under when needing to use the outhouse when raining.
You guys are absolutely unbelievable.. I cannot believe you did this!!

I would fill gaps with spray foam so it helps with insulation. Not sure how cold your winters get!

Water heater... if you can feel the heat you are losing heat. Insulation is the answer.
I don’t understand why you didn’t put the commode in there and build around it before it got too tight to put it in?
Because we obviously thought it would fit through the door. Lesson learned, next time measure it before putting the entire thing together. 🤦

I'm confused. Why do you need a outhouse if you can use the bathroom in the mill ? ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
They can’t yet, it’s not functional. Pretty sure there’s no toilets to start with.
I think they decided to reuse the outhouse on their property until the plumbing and interior construction is done in the mill. They can use it now rather than their current method of digging a hole to bury waste.
