What a fantastic trip to Puerto Rico! Your 4-day itinerary is packed with amazing activities. Exploring Old San Juan, hiking in El Yunque, and visiting the Bioluminescent Bay sound absolutely incredible. Your tips on where to stay, renting a car, and navigating the island are super helpful. Puerto Rico is such a beautiful destination, and you really captured its essence. Can't wait to visit and explore more of the island myself. Thanks for sharing! Cheers, Simon - Tales From Abroad
Thank you for talking so good about our island. At “El Yunque”, at Juan Diego, you missed the best waterfall. Just walk pass the one you were in for approximately 5 minutes. On the way back down, at the beginning of the mountain, you will enjoy “La Barrigona”. At Fajardo, I personally like 7 seas better than Luquillo beach. 2 minutes away, at Las Croabas, you can pay a charter ($50.00 or $60.00) to go to Icacos Island (a 15 minute boat ride). Be advised, there is no water or shelter from the sun, go prepared but very well worth the trip. So you can see what you missed, I’ve included this UA-cam link (from my authorship), almost swimming distance from Icacos. Beyond Icacos, Cayo Ratones
Thank you for watching! It’s a beautiful island. For sure, I’d be happy to share and break it down! Please keep in mind you can visit Puerto Rico for MUCH cheaper than we did - we definitely spoiled ourselves as we were celebrating 10 years together. 😊 Hotel (5 nights): Booked with points so we paid $0. Without points: $1,181.56 Hotel Food, Resort Fees, Parking, etc: $848.87 Flights (2 people, business class): $2,203.20 (If you fly economy, you can pay less than half of that cost) Car: Booked with points so we paid $0. Without points: $457.39 Other food, gifts, entrance fees, etc: $286 Tolls: $29.80 Total cost we paid for 2 people: $3,367.87 I hope this helps!
We are visiting Puerto Rico in March for two day pre-cruise sightseeing. Great video. More importantly, where did you get that adorable hat and white capris? I need them in my suitcase asap! 😊
@@GinaKowal-p2d ooooh so exciting! Y’all will have a great time! 😊 The hat is from Target! I got it several years ago but they probably have something similar still. The white pants are from Quince (you can just google Quince European Linen Pants and they’ll come up!). Word of warning, they aren’t double lined so you have to wear full coverage, nude undies so they aren’t see through 😅
Thank you for the video and the tips. We're planning to stay at the Hyatt Regency and visit El Junge. I wonder when you visited one of the bio-bays, did you visit during a moonless night? Unfortunately, our family is planning to visit in October during a half-moon time frame. I wonder if it's worth making the trip to Viques to see that if we're not gonna be able to see anything during half-moon phase.
@@Golfina19 thanks for watching! You’ll love the Hyatt Regency - it was great. So I was actually worried about this too so I kept my expectations low. We weren’t too keen on making the trip over to Vieques when we weren’t sure if we would see much, which is why we decided to go to Laguna Grande instead. The moon phase when we visited was a waxing crescent (it was on May 13th), and the bioluminescence was very bright. I’m not sure it matters too much because pretty much all of the kayak tours will throw a tarp over the group to block out any remaining light anyway so you can really see the bioluminescence up close. That being said, even without the tarp I could see it very clearly. If you’re on the fence about it, I recommend checking it out at Laguna Grande so you don’t have to worry about staying overnight on Vieques (unless you want to!). 😄
@@KelseyStyron THANK YOU! for making the video! These travel videos make other people's lives so much easier when planning a trip somewhere. Really appreciate all the tips.
@@Mollyandcamcam We spent all day at El Yunque, but the hike to Mt Britton Tower was probably about 1 1/2 - 2 hours 😊 For Castillo San Felipe, it was about to close so we only spent about an hour there. I would say at least 2 hours there would be good!
If there’s a next time… go to the beaches on the north in Arecibo or Barceloneta; or go to Vieques or Culebra, where you’ll find white sand beaches. Btw in the south you’ll find black sand beaches. ✌🏼
Ooh thank you for the info! 🙏🏼 I’m sure there will definitely be a next time. We originally had a trip to Culebra planned out, but our plans changed last minute. I’d love to go back and check out the beaches more 🏝️
One galon of gas its 3.78 liters of the gas its in liters thats means that the cost of gas is $0.95 a liter and $3.59 per gallon 🤷🏻😅 its like going to maindland usa gas station its same thing but in liters and we dont use kilometers we use miles , the only kilometer signs that you will see its smalls tinys signs on side of roads and big regular signs are in miles
@@betheone_pr that’s interesting, I swear it seemed all I saw were the kilometer signs 😅 the gas would’ve been less confusing if we hadn’t already handed over some money initially. We were pretty tired and just weren’t expecting it 😂
What’s your favorite thing to do in Puerto Rico? 😊🏝️🇵🇷
