I am not a truck driver, but statistically truck drivers are a lot safer than four wheelers. 90%of all truck car accidents are the fault of the four wheeler.
By the way I am a old Indiana police officer.
Keep our country moving drivers, and be safe out there.

Don't brag about being a cop it's not cool. Cops gave me PTSD and a FAT LAWSUIT. Only cop I'd EVERY give credit to is one who investigates murder, kidnapping, and rape! Get off my nuts about doing 5 over, gdam..

KingsColas I do not know your story, but I assure you I am not one of those hypocrite cops trying to make rank. One I never have stopped someone for something that I have done. I do however have no mercy for drunk drivers. My cousin who was a great guy and role model was killed by a drunk driver when I was in the 8th grade. The bastard only got one year in jail for it. As long as you are not driving like an idiot going twenty miles an hour over the speed limit, I am not interested. I consider myself a peace maker first.
I am sorry for your bad experience with law enforcement. Some officers are real dicks. Usually they have poor training and where picked on when they where in school and are now on some kind of power trip. Unfortunately we are humans, with the same flaws as anyone else.
Low wages and extremely long hours without compensation. Hours of paperwork for every arrest, hours in court on our days off, always on call 24/7 and dealing with the worst of society, can make anyone hate the world if you let it. Either you do it for the love of helping those who can not help themselves or you should find another career path.
Do something for me and go to the closest big city near you and ask if you can go on a ride along. Some departments allow for this and usually are happy to have you. Just see there side of it.
There are some very good men and woman out there doing the best they can to keep the public safe.
Know your rights and do not let a bad cop get away with it. Report them.
      Peace to you.

You seem like a very nice guy, and the world def needs more cops like you.
It actually brought tears to my eyes. (Prob from my pts) but I REALLY APPRECIATE your time to comment, and nicely at that. Thank u.
Also I agree I HATE DRINKING..! Ruined my parents marriage (even tho they still together) my dad comes home whenever he pleases and no one can say anything.. I wouldn't drink if I was forced to. Never mind get behind the wheel drink. So I COMPANY AGREE with you on that. I personally think legal drinking and driving should be 0.0, not 0.8..
Thank you and I wish you the best of luck at work and all most of all, for you to be safe.! P.s. -
I think ALL cops should train 1 month small towm, them go big city.. I think only experienced cops about to retire should be small town cops. (Or just let the state police handle it.) Small town cops zero action so they create it.. i live in a smaaallllll town with small town cops with BIG HUGE egos. -
I got arrested at 12 years old for assault and battery on a cop! :(
He was over 6ft! I'd have to be crazy and stupid..., I was playing basketball. I had a red shirt my friend had a blue one. Apparently on patrol they spotted quote "gang members" at the local high school.... (yea a crippled and blood hanging out, wow!
He lied 100%, then thank god he got fired for harassment of 3 girls while I was out on a 5000$ bail. (Charges dropped) phew!!!!
That's not even close to the worst!. :( I havent left my house in over 7 years. Im afraid to work. I only drive to pick up my girlfriend. We dont even go out to eat unless shes driving.
Just a small example to how my life of horror happened.. Thank the gods for good men like you ! :)

SouthJerseySound , yes that's the only real idiot stunt that the Virginia State trooper did at the very end of this 2nd video.
Thankfully, there was no other traffic driving next to him or that state trooper would have suffered more severe consequences, possibly legally as well as tragically, the Virginia State trooper who immediately and without no warning pulled in front of the semi.⚰️ No signals, no lights, zero concern for the big rig just two or three car lengths behind him⚰️👮👮‍♂️👮‍♀️🚔🚨🏨🏥⛪🚔🛤️🚛🚑🚨🛑⌛
Oh yeah, I appreciate and have all the greatest respect for all the professional truckers out there doing their job 👍

A NJ Statie got all jerked off at me one day on 195 near Jackson. I flipped him off for tailgating me. I had traffic in front of me and a propane truck next to me. So WTF. When I changed lanes I hung my hand out of the window and flipped him off. We had a somewhat hostle meeting on the shoulder and he finally realized that I had him. So he stamped off to his car and left.

Good for you fella. Obviously you weren't speeding and you are under no obligation to incriminate yourself. They obviously failed to generate the revenue they were after and you were not implicated in any way. Asside from their equipment 'malfunction', all ended up well ... accolades to you.

Rock on! I travelled for 15 years, mostly in a 4 wheel truck. I always gave the big rigs the right of way because you guys are working just like me, but managaing a bigger piece of equipment, common sense to me.
In my opinion, most of the time Cops aren't out there stopping us to keep us safe, they are doing it to make money. They even fight amongst themselves over who gets the best stopping points!
So keep up with technical advantages!

Protecting oneself from extortion racketeers, aka State Police as revenue generating agents. Truckers are screwed everytime they start their truck; see the price of diesel fuel, again extortion. Regular gasoline in my area $3.60 gal diesal $ 4.17, something is wrong folks, not forgetting the tolls on 18 wheels. Love to see all the independent truckers go on strike in bringing country to a dead stop.

Lets park our trucks for about a month and then see what these good people think about us then. That wouldn't be good, These people really are not that bad they are just ignorant about trucks and truckers. They don't stop to think about the fact that the food on their table is there because some driver brought it to the store where they bought it. We will just keep doing our job partly because we love our Country and we understand that we are doing one of the most important jobs in our Nation. That's what I think about when iam confronted with the ignorance about truckers.

Stupid people don't understand our job as truck drivers. We drive EVERYDAY ALL DAY. The average motorist speeds, you can all admit that, the radar detector is just something that saves us truck drivers a few tickets, we aren't speed demons, we just sometimes like to do 5-10 over the posted limit going down the highway, nothing life threatening to any other motorists using the roadway. What the guy in the video did is SMART. And if you all could understand our lifestyle (not a career) then you would understand that we will do anything that makes our day a little easier and saves us a little money. We aren't against police, we are just using certain devices and techniques that the police may not understand and agree with. Give this guy some slack, he has a sick looking truck as well.

Let's get some facts straight. To serve and protect? It is not the job of the police to serve and protect "the people". It is the job of the police to serve and protect "the state". When people offend the greater good (the state), then it's the job of the police to enforce economic sanctions on the offenders or the people. It's just business. I used to work for the police when I was young. They serve and protect the state, and generate as much revenue as possible to maintain their own independent function.

+darknebula666 I think Bourne accidents comment on policing is incorrect as well. I guess he's never heard of a citizen arrest. the police are hired by departments that are run by the states elected officials Ultimately governed by us generals attorney. at least we can say the fed is trying to nationalize the local police and state police departments.

    • @BourneAccident
      @BourneAccident 8 років тому +3

mark Johnson Sorry, not incorrect. Also, when is the last time you ever heard of anyone ever successfully executing a citizen's arrest with prosecution as an end result? Furthermore, I can tell you Attorney Generals don't give rats behinds about anything any police officer does unless it directly effects their office or political standing. I do agree that the feds are/have nationalized local and state departments.

Just because city or county ordinance allows you to speed with lights and siren doesn't mean the state will bring that it's not a true emergency vehicle. The linear is good for more than just boosting your CB. I'll have to say very well placed. Might take that into consideration. You rock man!

There is nothing wrong with using a device to foil radar using police, IMO. Even in Virginia. It may be against the law in VA, but so what. You idiots talking about him breaking the law, I'm betting most of you have broken so many laws repeatedly you can't count them. Speeding is speeding. Turning against posted no turn on red light is still a violation. Stopping your vehicle with the front end in the crosswalk is a violation, tailgating too. The list is long.
I want to make a little black box that is not a radar detector but will set off the VG2s just for fun. Then again, I know what exactly causes it to set off. So easy to make. Might do it just to sell to the masses to screw with VA on it's stupid law.

Okay so let me be clear here, i understand your a trucker and all but when your i nthe state of VA it doesnt matter where you are, in this current video, you are not wearing your seat belt. Now in the state of VA that can be a ticket from a state trooper any day, now Im not saying your not in VA in this video you may be somewhere else but in Virginia that seat belt has to be on.

Not trying to hate on you bud, but I've been in this Industry sometime now and operating your camera like you did inside the cab showing the places where you said the switches were or weren't and steering with your knee is one of the unsafest things you can be doing. At lest do it when your pulled over.
Come on man you know better then that.

Kype Jaw , Yes, maybe he could have shown all his bells and whistles later when he was actually safer not driving behind the wheel. Now that does make more sense to me, but I'm not a professional truck driver like him.
But I give all the respect to the professional truckers who respects us Lil four wheeler. 100 %

Well done, all the way around. I saw the first video too. Thumbs up! I know your job is already difficult then add in the massive amount of state and fed regulations you are faced with, I don't know how you guys still want to drive a truck. I totally support professional drivers like you. Agree too most troopers are good guys. No disrespect to the police either.

Whether you agree or disagree with this trucker outsmarting the police and not getting a ticket is beside the point. 100% of you that replied, would take a lawyer up on a pro bono offer to get you out of a speeding ticket in court. There is no difference. The trucker just decided to cut out the latter annoying and costly steps and take care of the situation how he felt best. More power to ya trucker man. Good for you.

I once used the shadow of my head to conceal a round damp spot on the rear of my gasoline tank trailer , please understand it was the very last load before going to a specialized repair shop the very next morning to repair the hairline crack that was causing the same damp spot , I was familiar with this officer whose name I still remember some 30 years later( I kept clean gloves just for him so when he would do his inspections he would not have to get back in his car smelling of gasoline) , like your situation this was not life or death , I would say a contest of wits with a friendly officer interested in public safety primarily.. so I would congratulate you for staying cool and having the wisdom to place body parts in the way and also strategically moving to keep their eyes focused on you rather than the bumper/grill area.. some things they never think to teach in a driving school LOL!!
