My grandfather drove for 52 years in this exact same truck for the later part of his career and I’m thinking about going to prime and driving their trucks but damn listening to the turbo spool up and the gears shifting brings back so much nostalgia that these new auto trucks just don’t offer

I miss the other kind of semis "cabovers" here in the USA although the length limit increased. I remember I saw them everywhere back in the 1980s.
Still plenty here in Australia, old and new, American imports (maybe?) and we have all the euro ones too

Tolls are absolute modern day highway robbery, especially when taxes should cover it.
Twisted86 nah a lot of our infrastructure is reliant on our interstate system.
Have a W900, did my dash in the lighter carbon fiber vinal wrap, looks cool. Pain in the a** to do, have to remove all the gauges and switches. Use the good 3M wrap, (there's a million colors). Also have a 16" steering wheel, it's OK, took a min to get use to. If you buy that truck, at least you know what you're getting, and all the recent history, that's worth a lot. No expensive surprises. Maybe he'll give ya a deal : )

I love that truck. Occasionally i drive one that is a tri axle straight truck with a 5000 gallon tank on the back. You can tell that when it was new it was a top of the line truck. Absolute beauty 👌

I think that the carbon fiber would look good, and all that matters is that you like the way your rig is set up and that it functions for you. Like watching the videos
I think the dash would look good purple with all chrome toggle switch extensions and gauge bezels plus some purple/chrome tractor trailer air knobs.

with the shorter mattress you'll have an area to stow maybe like your shower bag, or a rolled up blanket etc.

Thanks for the tour, your missing the lower cabinets on both sides, Just a suggestion but you can put in a Dorm fridge and a bigger inverter and it's cheaper.. The pants leg was genius. And you did an awesome job with the floor..

I had a butane stove, got tired of going to Walmart for new butane. Got an electric skillet plugs into my inverter for all my cooking

Wrap it carbon fiber or matte black. Another option would be to go to a lighter color, white would look good but get dirty easily, maybe a neon/racing purple.

Nice video i always liked the classic and like the old school look, only thing i would add an refrigerator and microwave. would up date the driver seat. Carbon fiber dash but i think a purple dash would work good also. Take care and be safe.
I would put in a fridge and microwave at least. I don't know how it was in year 2000, but I can say that now If I were to eat out of truck stops twice everyday, I would be spending $170 a week easy. Its also nice to have some food in the truck anyway in case I end up shutting down at a consignee or rest area.

Jw speaker makes a amazing headlight for the truck they are pricey but worth it c that u do a lot of night driving make sure u get a heated one if u run in snow works great and doesn't blind others wrap it in forged carbon fiber

Atlas seats are great. I have legacy seats and they're good.
Its a 68 Camaro. No door vent window and it has a front fender side marker light which was federally mandated for all cars manufactured in the US from 68 on.
Been doing it almost 30 years part time now because I do full time in a hospital. But keepem rolling
Bro if you ever passing through las cruces new mex get a nice cd player with blue tooth and ill install it for you gratis!! It'd look new age with carbon fiber like the wood maybe custom wood panels, but entirely your decision ill watch either way!!
@Love, Leah that empty space on his dash i see every video, he said was gonna put a cubby hole but I think a radio would be a better use of the space. Just my opinion is all. Be safe

My suggestion would be to go with something lighter in color. The cab appears pretty dark and dismal.
I think you should just get a mini fridge rather than that cooler, you would save a buck or two

Hahah jeste neznam ni kako je on mene otkrio jer nije mi bas veliki kanal a i ne snimam bas dugo nema ni godina, kaže da je prepoznao da sam nas hahah. Znamo mi svoje, jeste on preporučio hvala sto me pratiš. Sto se tiče čišćenja to je nešto sto ja uživam raditi ili auta i volio bih raditi vise ali nemogu naći gdje itd. Posao sto si vidio sto sam ja uradio mogao se bolje uraditi ali ja sam uradio sto sam se dogovorio, to je bilo $300 za nekih 5.5 sati rada. Ali to sve zavisi u kakvom je stanju kamion ili auto i šta hoćeš da se uradi al ja mislim da kamion sto sam ja čistio bi bilo preko $500 za isti posao sto sam ja uradio. Faktički mnogo bolje pare nego voziti kamion

Don't let a shit company get you down brother, there are good people to work for out here. If you're in the southeastern U.S. look up Storey Trucking, Meteor Express or Huff&Puff Trucking. All three treat you like a human being, pay excellent and give good home time.
Considering this is three months late, you may be out of the game but if you are still driving I hope things get better for you. Cheers

Hello. Because of my sleep problems I am thinking about driving (CDL A OTR) night time and sleeping day time. Is it risky and difficult to drive night time? Can I find parking space early morning in the truck stops? Is my project feasable? Thx

Regarding 'Vinyl Wrapping' the Dashboard, check out this UA-camr "Sanchez Trucking", these guys own older Trucks including the Freightliner Classic XL and have Vinyl Wrapped the dashboards of all theirs plus they are constantly adding new Chrome, Lights and other stuff!, well worth watching their channel for inspiration...good luck.

your interior needs work. also, not for nothing but when you started that truck in this video I noticed you didn't allow the gauges to sweep before cranking the motor... company driver for sure. but when you get your own, it's little things like that over time become big expenses...
