    A note on the Romanovs:
Though I am the one who made this tribute and am quite proud of it, there is no denying the suffering of ordinary Russians under their reign. That is not to say that the USSR wasn’t a vile place to live in, only that may he who is without sin cast the first stone. This is a tribute to the family and not the regime. Their murders were just that, horrible murders, but it doesn’t erase the suffering of those under tsarism, a system in which millions of people died brutally.
Otherwise, I hope you enjoy my video💕

MirrortothePast I love learning about the romanovs . I read “ Nicholas and Alexandra “ many years ago and it was very touching.
      I enjoyed your video .
I believe the tsar could have done more for his people, however we need to understand that he had many bad influences around him.
Alexis was the catalyst for the fall of the imperial family. ( though no fault of his own)

Beautifully done there's not much that bring a tear my eye ( and ive been been close to death on a few occasions and thraw no fault of my own i shell add yet nether shared a tear) What happened to the Romanos is exstreamly sad and shouldn't have happened to such a family (and nether the young of any family come to that) and i don't know if you will agree with me on this but i hope that the evil twisted murderous beasts that murdered them are continulesly burning and suffering in hell for murdering the Romanos R. As a nine-year-old, in 1973, I watched a movie about the Romanovs. There were pictures of the actual family and when I saw Marie, I knew I was in love -- and have been, ever since. I felt soo sad and heartbroken at the end of the movie when the entire Romanov family was placed together in a basement room --- then there was a still frame with the walls and a picture of them turning red. I'm a born-again Christian and have prayed for all the souls and spirits of the Romanov family and believe I will see and visit Grand Duchess Marie at her mansion, one day. I grew up watching the moving Anastasia and didn’t know anything about it just thought it was another princess movie, and when I found out the true story I was shocked. This family were so close and it’s sad but also kinda astonishing that they were so close that they died all together. I do not believe no one survived there’s no way anyone could. I wish I could go back in time and have a chat with them. I thought it was weird how I have a favorite child. When I first started watching videos about them I always saw one that stuck out from everyone else and it was Tatiana and that’s why I loved her every since. Great video by the way.

    • @lenacehova4760
      @lenacehova4760 5 років тому +11

Peggy Schuyler It was a logical decision. Many peasants in the villages did not understand what revolution was. For them, there was one truth: the Emperor is the messenger of God. And if the Bolsheviks released the king's heirs, these children could grow up and want to return the throne back, and the peasants would support them. It was a good decision to kill them. Better than, for example, the imprisonment in prison of the Russian Tsar Ivan VI, who was a baby and was punished for just being born. Ivan VI was the great-grandson of Ivan V (brother and co-ruler of Peter the Great) and had the right to the throne. Then Princess Elizabeth (daughter of Peter) put him in prison in solitary confinement, so he could never get out and claim the throne. He stayed there all his life and was killed in an attempt to release 20 years later. Ivan's entire family (father, brothers, sisters) was also locked up forever in the fortress, where they all died.
So that children Nicholas still very was lucky - their death was rapid.

@White Working Class Male Lmao, Trotzky was never really able to get that much power in the Bolshevik movement because of his jewish origins, there were strong anti-semitic tendencies even within the movement.

@White Working Class Male In 1922 there were 19,564 jewish Bolsheviks, comprising 5.21% of the total number, 417 members of the Central Executive Comittee, the party Central committee, the Presidium of the Executive of the Soviets and the Peoples Commissars were jews (around 6%).

The century, after their martyrdom the Romanov children, should be celebrated with love and heartful prayers for them. A memorial replicating the house in Ekateniburg be erected in Moscow showing the blood stains and bullet marks on the walls and the fire arms used, the clothes and the rooms and the surroundings. That is how all communities remember their heroes.
At least one of super rich Russians can easily earn their blessings or people of Russia can contribute money to recreate the last life they lived in a house in Ekaterinburg. If devils like Lenin and Stallin have memorials why not the God's beloved angels.

I think I see this in a pretty balanced way:
Alexandra should have booted Rasputin and not let him near the boy past a certain point; I have always suspected Rasputin was a clever hypnotist, but also a ruthless opportunist. He was a social climber. Assassinating him would and did make the common folk angry. But forcing him into a more formal position in the Orthodox Church might have worked. Sending him to Siberia would have worked even better.
Nicholas should have stayed out of war with Japan and capitulated early in WWI, as in "we are now neutral. We repudiate any prior action and are going full Switzerland." It would not have strained the public coffers as much. He also should have invested more time into political reform fixing the power of the Duma *but adding a House of Commons* meant for the peasants. A ruthless crackdown on the boyars would have made him a very popular man. Making a deal with Woodrow Wilson regarding, oh, a massive order of food and asking for guidance on reforms could bear great fruit. Evolving away from absolutism to something closer to what Britain had under Victoria would help counteract Lenin, who, in my opinion, should have been handled by black ops. He should have been poisoned and someone in his circle should have been framed for it.
The throne itself should not have become so isolated from reality that by the time the people were in revolt, it was too late. The King of England should have tried harder to get the children to England (and secretly smuggle in Alexei) if he could not get his cousin and Alexandra out. I see the course of WW2 going differently. It is unlikely that Alexei would hang on that long, but if he did by a miracle, I have an odd feeling he would be screaming at Stanley Baldwin how large of an idiot he is for trusting Hitler. In any case it is possible that the UK might see the Romanovs with the best claim to the throne as a bargaining chip to use against Stalin. At what point that happens is debatable, but it is possible that Stalin loses his seat in Russia come the 1950s or later a grandchild of any of the surviving Romanov children eventually takes the throne c. 1991 and a constitutional monarchy is formed...which bans the Communists and banishes them for good.

Maria was by far the most beautiful. It is reported that Louis Mountbatten fell madly in love with her, and kept a picture of her by his bedside for the rest of his life. Of course executing them was a crime. So was the Romanov treatment of his peasant subjects, who starved by the millions. Nicholas was completely out of touch with the people. They were destined to be put on trial, but the closeness of the White Russian forces panicked the local commander, who ordered their execution rather than risk their liberation and becoming the focus for the White Russian counter-revolution. Unfortunately they were the victims of cold realpolitik calculation. Had they been put on trial the children might have been spared, but l doubt it. Don’t forget his cousin on the British throne refused them sanctuary.

I shall never understand the cruelty that humans are capable of. Sacrificing a complete family for the ideals of one man who convinced many of his ideals. Yet another example of how much we still have to evolve in our human development. There have been many terrible crimes towards humanity. But this one in particular hits hard: a family with young people, paying with their lives, used as scapegoats.
