  • Christmas 1917 would be the last for the Romanov family. Isolated from the world, exiled in Siberia, they lived the joy of the feast of love, distributing gifts to the members of their staff that they had made themselves. Under house arrest and closely guarded, they were able to organize a traditional Christmas that was in many ways their closest family holiday.

@@tomo_ov_da_ghetto4112 hello and thank you for your interest in our book! There, you will learn the truth about the life and death of the last Romanov family, as well as what really took place in Russian during that turbulent era. It offers previously unpublished materials strictly from primary and archival sources, bringing to light a multitude of unknown and unrevealed facts, which evince that many truths remain silenced or distorted to this day. Such are:
      • The achievements and great reforms of Tsar Nicholas' reign.
      • The events of the 1905 revolution and Bloody Sunday.
      • Russia’s and Tsar Nicholas’ involvement in WW1.
      • The plots and conspiracies to overthrow Tsar Nicholas from his throne.
      • The myth of the “Bread Revolution” and the truth about the February 1917 coup.
If you like to learn more, you can visit our official website: www.romanovs.eu/en-book
In the pages of the book, the eye of the reader’s mind will be apprised of the portraits of the Romanov family's psyche, depicted with the colors of their very own words from the personal writings of the family and of those who lived very close to them.

I do believe the Tsarina and her daughters were, basically, kind people but knew nothing of the living conditions of the Russian people. Tsar Nicholas, 'though devoted to his family, was however dictatorial and very stubborn, even failing on occasion to take the sage advice of his ministers and generals. It's therefore easy to have sympathy for the women of the family but not to have much empathy for the Tsar. The personality traits of the Tsar probably contributed to the advice, given to King George V by his advisers, not to grant asylum to the Imperial Family in Britain.

Have you even read about the children. They didn’t deserve their brutal endings because they were simply born into a family with such political power. Olga cared about her people and even used her money to pay for a boys medical bills because he couldn’t afford it. She was politically aware of the state her country was in but what could her or any of her siblings do? The children were innocent and yes naive, but they were not monsters. They had no control over the government. I’m not a big fan of the Tsar or the Tsarina but I have all the empathy for the children. If anything they wanted to help their people and even most of them wished to marry simple soldiers and not aristocratic men. Their tastes were rather simple considering the grandeur they lived in.

Another fantastic video! Thank you! I find among the most compelling events of this time was when the family was briefly split up in the spring of 1918. Marie went with her parents to Yekaterinburg and the other girls stayed back with Alexis in Tobolsk because he was not well enough to travel. For the family it was a time of even more anxiety and pain because they were separated. When Alexis became well enough to join his parents and Maire, some of the retainers urged the other girls to wait. But they wouldn't hear of it. Olga said " We are lucky to still be alive and see our parents once more. " I write this because some people ask me why didn't the children at least get away. But you see, even if they could do so, they would not leave . All the family wanted was to be together. One sees this as they actually enjoyed that last Christmas, because they were indeed together.

Since then, I read everything I could to find out more about them. I collected photos and magazine articles that I found about them and now I am a Russophile. I have my home library full of books of the biographies and letters of the family in their last days.
I remember a very nice article from a magazine that they sell here in Spain.
I remember that the first Russian historian (Vladimir Ustimenko, a specialist in Marxism-Leninism who had been born in the previous system) who saw the photos of the family, expressed how he had a degraded image of the family because of the previous regime.
And I was very moved by what he said: "They don't look like the monsters we had been told in school for years that they were. In the photos they look like a peaceful family, very close to each other and very happy"
"When I saw their faces I knew that until then my whole life had been founded on a lie. You don't lie in privacy, faces don't lie"

If you are really interested in the truth about the life and death of the last Romanov family, as well as to what really took place in Russian during that turbulent era, then we highly recommend our book, which offers previously unpublished materials strictly from primary and archival sources. Our book brings to light a multitude of unknown and unrevealed facts, which evince that many truths remain silenced or distorted to this day.

Such a tragic story😭. Nicholas did not want to be tsar. He eventually abdicated. Alexei was so ill with severe Hemophilia B inherited from his great grandmother Queen Victoria that he would not have survived too long past adolescence. Excuse my lack of knowledge, but was the Romanov Imperial family not a threat to the Bolsheviks? Would they not have adjusted to private life? I believe they would have adjusted to private life. For example, the tsar's sister, Olga, found refuge with her husband in Ontario, Canada where she led a peaceful life out of public view. The Romanov family need not have been executed. What horrible waste. What horrific suffering. May God bless and keep them in His loving embrace. RIP🙏. Love💖, from Canada.

Hi, Eva! Yes, the Romanov Imperial family could have easily adjusted to private life, but they would never do so unless they were sure that it was their people's will to do so. That is, they still believed, and they were, right, that it was just a minority of the vast Russian population that wanted a political change, and therefore, they would never abandon their duties as rulers of Russia unless the people wanted them to. They had a very strong sense of responsibility before their people and God.

I believe if my history serves me right, it was because of Empress Catherine The Great? Now if that hadn’t of happened (and I remember reading Nicholas II approaching the Duma about Olga because of Alexei’s health) Olga would have become Empress of All the Russias etc ect and I think would have made a GREAT Empress because she of all of them KNEW what was happening in Russia and I believe she would have made sweeping changes....just my thoughts

Russia had been run by Czarinas in the past. If Czar Paul could introduce a new law to change that( only because he resented his mother . He was so bad his own men killed him.) why couldn't it be changed back? There was precident for female rulers. If Czar Paul had only daughters, I wonder if he would have changed the law?
So why couldn't Nicholas II just undo the change Paul made?

In my opinion, however, these were the most family holidays Each member of the Tsar's family prepared gifts for individual family members There were no expensive gifts in the style of Faberge eggs, but there were modest gifts made by hand from the heart

You're welcome 😊 If you are interested in the truth about the life and death of the last Romanov family, as well as to what really took place in Russia during that turbulent era, then we highly recommend our book, which offers previously unpublished materials strictly from primary and archival sources. Our book brings to light a multitude of unknown and unrevealed facts, which evince that many truths remain silenced or distorted to this day.
