This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS coupe is finished in Fathom Blue over blue vinyl upholstery and powered by a 396ci L35 V8 paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ Rally wheels, power brakes, front and rear spoilers, a white “bumblebee” front stripe, woodgrain interior trim, a center console, bucket seats, a push-button AM radio, and a tachometer with an inset clock. The car was refurbished during previous ownership in the 2000s before being acquired by the selling dealer in January 2022. Subsequent work has included rebuilding the carburetor and replacing the ignition wires, carpets, and seat upholstery. This Camaro is offered by the selling dealer with an owner’s manual, images and records from prior ownership, a Protect-O-Plate, a spare set of wheels wearing redline tires, and a clean Colorado title.
I had a 68 SS 396 Camaro that I sold in 73….sure wish I had held onto it.
VERY nice Camaro, amazing to see the smog pump, etc. intact, that was the 1st thing that was trashed back in the day. 2 inches of play either the steering box or idler arm.
Nice restoration BTW, yeah thats too bad when they just sit forever, they were meant to be driven and for that one probably not beat on as its all original
Oh yes , anything 396 is nice , loved mine
this is how they sounded new. Not cammed up with a blowmaster muffler. Curve the dist headers wakes them right up
EE on the cowl tag is for Fathom Blue exterior color AND No vinyl top.
A Firebird with the base 400 and a 4-speed would embarrass this Camaro leaving a red light. 😆
I bought one new, it had the 396/ 375 and muncie four speed. Black with red interior
Love the old classics, but the non A/C cars are not driveable all year round. I have a 68 GTO with facrory A/C and it is an essential option to have.
Why not? We drove them all year around when new, AC or no AC.
In North Carolina in August it is unbearable to drive a non A/C car. 99 degrees 100 percent humidity is miserable.
@@willgeo2215 We drove non AC cars in 105deg. weather when A/C was a rare option.
aunless you live inthe desert you can DD all yr...I did for many yrs. Now too old and spolied not to have it. My 67 Camino doesnt though who drives in 105 temps
My old elementary school didn't have A/C either but today sending kids to a no A/C school would be child abuse. So lots of things have changed since back in the day. Today in the South especially, I consider A/C mandatory.
THE BEST!!!
The '67-'68 Camaros were the best looking. Those high rounded rear quarter panels looked soooo much better than the flattened out '69!
Is this still available and how much
What is the color code? pls.
I absolutely love this color
If it only had the RS with the hideaways but that is a beautiful stock example!
The rarest color for '68 was black, this color was next followed by ivory it's butternut colored, white was fairly popular and Gold was the most popular color that year.
I got a 68 Palamino Ivory RS cp. This dark blue is classy !
Beautiful car! I had a big block 68 4-speed back in 1986. It was Marina blue with blue interior. I had lots of cars back then. I miss that 68 Camaro the most.
I remember when these cars first came out in 67'. A school mates big brother had a new 69' SS white with red rally stripes with a 4 speed. My current car is a 17' SS with a 6 speed.
325, 360 and 375HP were the 396 Options for 68.
350
325 hp then 350 hp then 375 hp no 360
@@jaybramble2029 L34 396 was 350 HP.
Difference between 325 and 350hp?
Camshaft only or more? Think compression on both 10.25.
I can't stop drooling.
I always wanted one of these!! Only in a Small Block.
TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE CLUTCH PEDAL, EXCEPT WHEN READY TO SHIFT GEARS... WOW, YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER..
Car looks perfect.
Rear bumper guards are too close together Not in the original position Tail light panel should be satin black painted all the way up to they up to the trunk seal.
It doesn't matter if you're not buying.
Check the tell lights
“Tail” lights
We are all critics. I bet your nose is crooked like everyone else's except Elizabeth Taylor's.
So good,I love it Thanks
Gorgeous
Респект хозяину. Обожаю эти автомобили. Слава Україні.!!!
Rear bumper guards in wrong location. Too close
The underside of the spoiler is unpainted, the trunk hinges have areas of no paint, the trunk lid bolts are unpainted when they should be body color and the deck lid should have been painted while on the car. The 396 emblems aren't centered in the stripe, and it has the wrong ashtray in it. A beautiful car nonetheless, but the painter should have been more particular. My car has the same crack in the dash pad and it will remain there. It looks and fits better than any Chinese pad would. Put power steering on it. I did to mine, and I love it.
A beauty. I grew up with these cars. If taking the plunge into nostalgia, my preference would be a '69 Z28.
If this car is worth $70K, I would rather buy a late model ZR-1 Camero. Nostalgia and vintage performance cars have their place but no substitute for late model performance in every respect...acceleration, braking, ride comfort, handling and NVH.
What is it with car vids these days? So many critics, wanna be experts negative nancys my gawd.
This car is correct for the guy that restored it, not YOU.
Мужчина не умеет правильно пользоваться педалью сцепления.Держит педаль долго выжатой на перекрестках.Выжимной подшипник в это время кричит:аяя яй,посадите того,кто знает,как правильно мной пользоваться😂
My favorite year camro it was 67 but then I know the would get all the kinks out by 68 lol 69 was my dream until I saw 67 and 68
CHEVY RULES!!! GOD BLESS THEM AND THE WHOLE WORLD.
I've always wanted a camero I like the look of it it's a nice muscle car this one is very clean someone takes great care of it .
Did you Say 60k for this Vehicle. The Color is Definitely going for it.
top 10 favourite ,wow nice car my dad had one that was the lighter blue ,just 350 back in 1983 or so
i seen huntreds of these fakes and this one of them! the PBT should knot be visible on the fairwall . that feller is trying to hoo doo the buyer
I had a 1968 Rally Sport that my grand parents bought new. 327/275HP. 4 barrel quadrajet with 2 speed powerglide and hidaway headlights. I still miss that car. It did have Air conditioning Power steering and Power drum brakes. They had every rs badging, except no stripe around the nose. it went 55 mph in first and 120 mph top end. That was enough for a 17 year old. I only added dual exhaust. Same blue interior. Lighter exterior. Less gauge options than this one. Only a clock in front of the horse shoe shifter and right gauge in the dash was a huge fuel gauge. My friends said when the speedometer went one way the fuel gauge moved The other.
I have the same but no air condition do they make the SS without hidden headlights? My RS has a hidden headlights
Pee Wee sell it befer you crash it . i don't want to drag it out the Salt Lake out thar
Beautiful.. hermoso..el color me gusta
Rear bumperettes are in wrong place.
I cannot believe that paint.
Clone. Reverse lights
Beautiful car.🇵🇷

Hi Patrick, unfortunately this one got away, but if you click the link in the description you will see this car. I have more cars like this going to this platform soon, so keep an eye out!
nice resto mod
True the bumper guards on the rear are out of position they usually line up with the inner edge of the tail light assembly
Cars that are restored to be sold with a profit sometimes have little and bigger surprises....
It looks good it's not a six figure car
What became of the front bumper guards ?
I'm blue obba dee obba dy
Definitely Not The Correct… Exhaust
Very nose heavy and traction was always a problem.
Beautiful color beautiful car like to see it with baby moons on it.
Those are from the 70's. First gen Camaro had simulate mags and wire wheel caps, the dog dish and of course the Rallye wheels.
You have a right rear light that's out not sure if it is turn signal
Stunning Camaro what a beauty
325 hp 2bbl carb
Quadrajet 4bbl
Very nice 👌 👍 👏 😀
This car is SWEET
I'll take it
Nice
wow....just wow....
Looking good.
This is exactly what my cousin had when I was a kid except he had the top painted a baby blue. That's the car that developed my love of hot rods!
😍😍😍
My father has a 68 nova 427 4 speed in phathom blue. Its by far my favorite color

@@drewsummers3882 Hi Drew, I saw it after it sold on BaT I believe. Do you sell all of your cars just on BaT? Do you have a website I can visit?
@@gregsgarage1963 I only sell on BaT. I have a 68 RS SS, a 69 Z28, and a 62 Corvette Fuelie in progress with BaT. All are similar quality as this.
@@drewsummers3882 Can you have a min reserve on BAT or is it get what they bid and thats all?

Tail lights on the SS were solid Red Both Sides ! Backup lights mounted Below.
Only with an RS package did you get the solid red tail lamps.
