A $999 macbook air or even cheaper iPad with M1 toasts this predator 21X on CPU, memory speed and bandwidth, storage speed and capacity (at a price). Graphics is of course still great on the predator but it doesn't support RTX, so it's quickly outdated for gaming and thus a pointless $9K exercise at its core purpose.

Seeing this 6 years after and knowing that these specs are obsolete for today's games at max config, makes buy the Framework 16 gaming laptop a must. The fact that this old time beast is locked in specs and cannot be upgraded is a sad thing.
Storage and ram would be the only thing that can be upgraded in laptops. Unless they made it where you can replace the motherboard as well besides the cpu and graphics card. 64gb ram is sufficient even by todays standards.
the GPU is roughly a 3060ti/4060ti, still very capable by today's standars. CPU is lackluster.
@@andrewlilad9978 if they replicated something like this with new processor like i9 and the newest gpu along with ram and storage upgrades it can hold its own for like 10 years in playing the newest games along the timeline.

Preach. I personally rock a framework 16 and I love that thing to death, even moreso knowing that down the line I can easily get a better battery in it, or a newer gpu.

If anyones curious my laptop has a RTX4050 with 13th gen i913900HX that runs at 5Ghz, 1TB of SSD and 64GB DDR4 of RAM with dedicated fans for GPU and CPU... in a laptop. The laptop in this video was my dream years ago.
