    On the first point about not being pushy… We call it being politely persistent haha

    I am new to this so I reassure the homeowners that I am open when making the appointment so they know I am here for their convenience and that they can call me at anytime.

      Mighty kind of you :) May I suggest a different angle to help you be in charge of that follow up call? Try this: ua-cam.com/video/d4PbckN4MLg/v-deo.html

    I’m with you but to be honest I get calls back on things no one else in my company could cuz I see they are busy and I set a appointment instead of pushing to close. Just realize when you have to push and when giving space use the best option

    Do you have a script I can use for setting appointments? I had one that worked in North Carolina but I just moved to Colorado and my boss here wants me to knock on every roof even 1 year old roofs. My script works good for the old roofs but I feel like it barely works for the new roofs.

    Can a contractor contact the customers insurance company to start a claim

    • @TheRoofStrategist
      @TheRoofStrategist  3 роки тому

      Depends on the state. In Florida, the homeowner has to. But in most other states, the contractor can assist (being there with the homeowner), but ultimately no matter what - the homeowner is the one who has to officially file and start the claim. Here's a video on it: ua-cam.com/video/X36dQP7EEh4/v-deo.html

      Hey Leo, thanks for letting me know! Happy to get that fixed for ya. Shoot me an email: adam@roofstrategist.com and I'll reply with it ;) Also, check your Spam in the meantime, OK? Every now and again that stuff gets confused!

    I just got offered a door to door sales job for a roofing company. I get paid purely by each claim I submit whether they buy or not, or even if the claim gets approved or denied. I do the inspection and then get them to sign a "public adjuster" agreement with their claim number. Would you say $150 per claim is good or should I ask for more?

      Hey dude! Welcome to the industry and the channel! I have never worked a model like that before, and don't know enough about the market and the volume you can do. Most folks in this industry are either canvassers who set appointments (and don't do the signing), or handle the entire sale (and most of the customer experience). The latter (sales people) is who this channel is really for. And to learn more about the 2 most common commission structures, watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/9avd5_0dNTU/v-deo.html

    So many open ended questions, with no assumtiveness whatsoever. I like your approach, but the close seems almost too wishy washy. Alot of people don't know the best day/time and you have to help them figure it out or you'll lose them at the close. Also where's the value building section?
