I did a clean install of 11.23H2 last week. I used powershell to remove a few things, like Tips and Dev Home, and overall I have not found there to be a noticeable performance difference, either good or bad.
Does 22H2 or 23H2 better for gaming? I'm still using 21H2 anyway.
@@Jakiyyyyy It really depends on the specs of your pc, I guess. I have an RTX 4080 and I'm fine with 22H2.

@@WSS_the_OG If that so I think I prefer the older one I guess because no A.I. copilot and stuff. Most of these features I don't use anyway but 21H2 already obsolete with no updates. Is that okay?
in that case i recommend you to install 22H2, because it still has updates and most if not all of the 23H2 features has been added already, the only difference i see between 22H2 and 23H2 is copilot, beside that they are the same, and thats great for me bc i don't like that copilot stuff at all@@Jakiyyyyy

awesome testing. really nice to see testing done like this. especially on a mid tier system and not a powerhouse that just brute forces past any issues. lol
for me on 23H2 some games have stutter. I did clean install after format. Removed much not needed stuff with ntlite so something is going on with latest version. W11 22H2 works great!
You also have to consider the gpu driver's. One could give better FPS then the other. Its always different especially from nvidia
What about a debloated, O&O shut up stripped down, windows 11 23h2 versus a standard windows 11 23h2

I've recently switched my windows 10 to the beta channel and it upgraded itself to the latest beta win11 (I didn't expect it to do that),
Here's What I did to get started with this 'upgrade' and not a 'clean install', I installed any updates that was left to be installed, did a cleanup for files and things I don't need, removed invalid shortcuts (Using advanced system care), re-built indexes, updated all apps from store;
how things went:
I tried my first game, Microvolts, works completely fine and things load kind of faster than win10 22h2, could be a windows difference; could be the clean-up I did.
Second game, roblox, things are good, yet to do more tests.
Win 10 bugs that I had fixed by that upgrade:
- The audio mixer used to freeze/crash when ran and there is an 'unresponsive/frozen' application, It doesn't do that on win11.
My PC:
- Xeon e3 1230 v5
- 1x8 GB DDR4
- Gigabyte GT 610 (Very old gpu, running the 347.88 driver, most stable for it.)
I'll be updating the information above with each test I do.
Microsoft has ended feature updates for Windows 10 already, and Windows 11 (its replacement) released 3 years ago.

Going faster than 60 FPS is better for input lag in games as well so that you’re reaction time that maybe faster than an opponent comes out on top where one frame is at 60 FPS is 16.8 ms of input lag iirc, whereas 120 FPS halves it, so if one has an OLED screen they can reap the benefit of that display even more at 120 FPS

salam, abit reduced performance for mid / low spec (1440p) but seems better image quality, smoother & snappier, easier to be local account & after WinUtil start up with 83-90 processes, upgrade refresh from 22h2 are nice, clean up os drive n file are recomended so lower time @ transfer old to new build

i installed, updated win 11 to 23h2 the other day. Didn't get an update so I chose to download the win 11 iso file to make an installation usb pen to run it in win11. I don't notice any difference before and after the update.
Gamin performance issues will surely be fixed in an update I think
I upgraded to a i7 12700KF + 4080 16Gb RTX + 64Gb DDR5 etc I ran it on a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro couple of days later watching JayzTwoCents he had said that newer CPU's are better handled by Windows 11 with all those E Cores P Cores. Anyway I put a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro plus debloating it of telemetry, Edge, Defender (I use 3rd party AV FW) my score has slightly increased & best of all I have seen better audio sound for somr reason the sound was not that great on Windows 10 I tried different drivers but that didn't help. I like Windows 11 disabling some off that unnecessary effects in Windows make it still look same but everything is snappier.
Anyhow newer hardware likes newer software.

@@iceManSwagturning off hyperthreading causes issues for certain games. When I had it off, Rise of the Tomb Raider and MWIII had my cpu at 70% utilization. With it on it went back down to 30-40 and I wasn’t bottlenecked anymore

Well, on my current rig, Windows 11 (debloated & cleaned up of course) runs extremely well!

This hardware is OP & everything runs extremely well!

I've had nothing but problems/BSOD's since upgrading my Windows 11 gaming laptop to 23h2 - even after re-setting Windows, whilst keeping my files. In hindsight, 22h2 seems worlds better.
Was it windows 10 22H2 or windows 11 22H2 that you were using prior to upgrading to 23H2
Really bad for me 23H2, i downgraded to Windows 10 21H2 LTSC. is much fastter not laggy only for opening explorer.
FPS in games is not all the story
Simple maybe because ur pc is low end try optimizing it and use an ssd :)

Yeah I'm still using 21H2 though. I think the more updated the better but I got otherwise. Just no longer updates because obsolete.

Everyone complaining about Win 11... download all the latest drivers from the manufacturer of your PC. So if you have a Dell install Command Update. If you're on an HP, use HP Support Assistant. Lenovo use Lenovo Vantage. If Asus, go to their website and search your exact model and download the latest drivers in every category. Not that hard folks.

I have Windows 11 Pro 22h2. When will 23H2 be available thru Windows Update? Supposedly it is available now but my system isn't showing it.
Whenever a new build update comes out Microsoft releases it gradually so it doesn't overwhelm their servers. If you want to upgrade right away then it's best just to download the ISO and upgrade with that.
My laptop has preinstalled Windows 11, but after 2 years of use, it is causing problems with WiFi. Whenever I try to connect to the WiFi network, it shows 'Can't connect'. I have tried all the methods, including uninstalling/reinstalling drivers, resetting the network, and factory reset my PC. The WiFi is still not working. What should I do to fix it?

It varies among people. In call of duty mwIII I was running about 160 or 130 fps windows 10, I updated to windows 11 23h2 and Now I'm reaching 180 fps or even 200 fps

I have turned off everything that has to do with hello, I have searched the internet for a long time and tried absolutely everything.
The problem is that no one on the internet mentions anything about this HELLO error.
I don't think you can turn off HELLO 100%.
Haven't found a solution yet.
Even on a relatively new computer with TPM 2.0 with newly installed win 11 pro, a lot of error messages appear in the Event Viewer right after the installation.
I don't think it is possible to have windows 11 without problems error
There are too many windows functions operations that never work 100% in win11

After almost 10 years I powered up my Compaq Presario laptop and it still runs without a problem. The CD rom still reads and the pcmcia card to ethernet dongle allows me on line. Still runs Commander Keen like a boss!
I updated to 11 on an unsupported PC .. the system did not impress me .. a lot of unnecessary rubbish .. rolled back, version 10 is the best
Really wanted to believe I'll get at the very least - a performance on par with Win 10, but that's not the case at all.
Elden Ring brought stutters that were never before on Win 10. VERY bad performance. Checked AMD Adrenaline and yup - from 47 dropped to 40ish fps, but with major stutters and buggy visuals.
New World - FPS definitely dropped. More stutters.
Went back to Win 10 within less than 30 minutes of using Windows 11.... HUGE LET DOWN by Microsoft. You'd think they'll pull something off by this time.

People actually think the human eye can't see over 60? Bruh lmao. They need to play Bomb Rush Cyberfunk at 60fps and then again at 240fps. 23H2 is terrible for gaming since you cant install ANY games (illegaly anymore) cracks from fit girl repacks, plaza, razor, DODI does not work and in instalation progress it crashes with -12 -11 -7 unarc.dll etc crashes.

@@user-ij4ce1kd8s rolled back to 22h2 and found out that ram docp was causing the problem, set my ram to auto and instalations both on fitgirl and dodi repacks work fine now, still have to turn on docp back in bios after installing to get ram back to its speed. but about windows, i heard 23h2 messed with students computers so they had to revert back to 22h2 somewere :D, imma stay on this old update and wait for windows 12.

This is a meaningless benchmark for high-performance systems. Please do these benchmarks on medium/low specs.
