- The Eight episode in this Space Engineers Co-op series, where my friends and I work on a new vehicle to retrieve thrusters and help us conquer the Icy wasteland. We run into some trouble with assert along the way and learn really quickly how under prepared we truly are.

That was a really good set of drone cuts, those were the optimal cuts to cripple flight on a Fleeting Rival.
I'm betting the hard won thrusters don't survive one episode. :)

@@Sp4rt4nSl4ya hahahaha what are you talking about. I am a great pilot. That being said you may be correct when referring to the other two. All my crashes in no suit were cause of the 3X gravity. It’s conditioned me to be a better pilot.

Suggestion? Covet the sides of your rover with more mag plates.
So you can cart 5 or 7 items home per trip should the opportunity show up.
Also I literally checked your channel yesterday thinking 'i wonder when the next Skyjack came out'
So although the editing is hard and the group is a challenge, it's fun listening to friends having fun together. The only suggestion? Find some guest visitors, and smuggle them around the server to your base to accompany you.
And maybe get an elevator mod to get out if the spawn canyon. Otherwise your guests would need to take the longest zigzag of stairs ever.
Or a truly absurd tower of ladders with viewing platforms every 10 blocks or so.

Then there's Skyjack... which is a polished, well edited, Chaos monster of a Let's Play wherein everything that gets done is nonsense and is endlessly hilarious.

Ya I run my fov at around 100, and for when I take screen shots I drop it to 40. Oh and the problem with the rover not being air tight is that the flat sloped window blocks are not airtight. Also as it seems to be problem that gets you killed often, try the mod No backpacks. What it does is when you die everything in your inventory at the time drops. This allows for faster pickup of tools as you don't have extra time of going through an inventory screen.
I recommend that You use first big thrusters pack for remote flying crane! To hold and weld for future projects.
When you think about it seriously there's allot in common between building rovers and stroking lemons.

i love this series concept! very fun too =)
I think there is a invention you might consider. It uses the chemical properties of exploding powder to propel a projectile down a tube in order to strike a target and cause it damage. I know it’s a far out there kinda concept, but it might prove more efficient than trying flash mob a drone to death with grinders.
Definitely need to build a crane truck!

super funny hearing you guys talk about FOV. I play FPSs a decent bit, so I naturally crank my FOV to 105 minimum in every game I play haha

Why is the lighting so bad in this game? I swear Minecraft has better lighting tech. It should not be dark in a space that has a skylight during daylight hours.
i do believe lighting is much more contrasty in low atmosphere environments due to it not being able to bounce off the atmosphere as much and cover the surface from as wide an angle. youtube destroys lighting too so probably doesn't help though

@@AlanW no idea how space engineers actually does it and whether atmo actually effects the lighting, just saying I dont *think* the lighting is wrong for low atmosphere in general in this game, if you say, look at pictures of the moon you can see the shadows and lights are very stark where on earth you get much more ambient light.
I think lack of moon(or moon being taken into acount) would also effect it thoguh, since the reason earth nights are relatively visible is because of the sun reflecting off the moon and onto the earth.
rather than all this though i think its youtube fucking over the lighting, with the example you gave being the darkness indoors(and me only talking about outdoors). Honestly though the main reason I argued is because I play so much minecraft and always want coloured lighting, but it doesn't have it at all while this game does, and thats all it needs for me to think the lighting system in this game is better lmao.
Sometimes the lighting forgets that there is a wall and you end up with a cave being lit up like on the surface
@@RKS-GameTech I suspect that is because the wall to block the light is too far away so it ignores it.
And textures are one sided because of unknown reasons.
Theoretically I would make the 'blank side' have the same texture and thus block under the same mechanic.
