    So does this mean the old design of the staccato is gone (I'm talking about the squared slide front end)? I like the way the old on looks compared to this one. Also, can you recommend a place to pick up a staccato-p, everywhere I've looked is out of stock. Great vid

      I also wish that they could make a really inexpensive gun that has all their most expensive to produce, machining and labor intensive features. The budget carry gun you seek would be a Glock MOS with a drop in aftermarket barrel and comp.

    Thanks Hilton! Any updates on the DVC line? Will there be a DVC C for 2020 or is the Staccato C2 taking it's place? I have a Staccato P DUO largely because of your reviews, thanks again.

    • @108Performance
      @108Performance  4 роки тому +1

      The DVC line is going away in name, and absorbed into the Staccato line. For example, the DVC-P/Omni is now the Staccato XC. The DVC-C is giving way to the C2. I think the super hot ticket will be the C2 DUO.

      Thank you for that info. Besides an extra 8 rounds, any ideas what the main differences between the Staccato C DUO and the C2 DUO are? I know full details haven’t be released, but all I can tell is extra capacity and 800 dollar difference. I will be buying one of these two models as soon as they are available. I really like the C2 DUO, but If all things are equal, is essentially 100 dollars per extra round of capacity worth it? Thanks for the input!

    • @108Performance
      @108Performance  4 роки тому

      @@tcpowerlifter The C is a single stack gun, the C2 a double stack true 2011 design and is compatible with the other 2011 grip modules. The C is unique and not compatible with other grips. I think the C2 DUO will be the hot ticket as a general use pistol. As far as whether the extra rounds are worth it, that's for you (or your credit card) to decide, but I don't ever feel like I regret having more rounds available.

    • @108Performance
      @108Performance  4 роки тому +1

      The XC and XL have 2.5-3 lb competition weight trigger pulls. The new RMR plates are more of a rolling change (changed as supply runs out) vs a specific model change, so I can't say when they'll appear and the factory might not be able to pinpoint it either.

    Hopefully the black version doesn't come out too long afterwards. I'm looking for a staccato c2 duo with the black barrel but every store right now only has them in silver. Do you know if the staccato c2 120mm flush fit mag comes in black?

    • @108Performance

      Not sure what non black version you're referencing - the silver Staccato P prototype is in the white, meaning bare metal without any finish. Barrel color is not a selectable option, all 2020 models have natural stainless barrels. The black mags are only 140mm.

    • @108Performance
      @108Performance  4 роки тому

      2-3 weeks. Not sure how much more flush you'd want the 120mm mag, you can only get so close with a detachable base pad due to the necessary tube length for attachment.

      @@108Performance Pardon my ignorance, but wouldn't a polymer frame INCREASE felt recoil? When the slide hits the end of its rearward travel, all of the excess energy would be departed into the frame, and a steel frame would have more mass and, therefore, take more energy to move, thus reducing the energy departed into your hand.
      In my experience firing steel framed guns and polymer framed guns, I have noticed that the polymer framed guns are more "flippy" than the steel framed guns. (Granted, maybe all of the polymer framed guns I have shot all have a higher bore axis than the steel framed guns I have shot, but that doesn't seem likely to me.)
      Is there something "special" about the new STI frame that makes it absorb recoil better?
