2 Stormy Nights Alone - Clifftop Bothy - West Coast of Scotland - Paracord Sling - Deer Antler Pipe

- In this video I head out to one of my favourite spots in Scotland, a lesser known bothy perched on the top of a coastal cliff. The weather put a halt to many of my plans but I managed to finish making my deer antler pipe, make a shepherds sling and practise with it on the shore then read a whole book while the wind and waves lulled me into a multi day meditative state. Not a lot of action in this video but the scenery was amazing and natures audio provided an unparalleled soundtrack. I hope you enjoy!

I've seen this amazing bothy before on the Stripy Hat Guy's channel. I enjoyed seeing the area around it in even more detail when you stayed more than one night. Surely someone will someday get to fish -- and catch something -- for our viewing pleasure. Loved seeing how you filled your time during the bad weather.

I love the trangia lantern... can you tell me more about it... not having much luck on the Internet searching for the glass top and wick... glad to see you back out again... any chance of a video showing your flat pack hot tent stove version 2 you had mentioned in a previous video...?

Hey there. I had a similar experience to you. I saw a photo of a trangia lantern on social media and tried to find more information but found nothing. I came to the conclusion that whoever it was had made them so I did the same.. the glass and wick holder come from a cheap paraffin lantern and I adapted a trangia lid to take it. Very rough this one but it's just a proof of concept. I'll be making a tidy one soon and I'll probably make a video on it.
As for the stove, I haven't actually got any further. I moved in to a van shortly after those videos and lost my workshop space and other priorities took over. I do still have plans to take it further this year but it's much more difficult just now.

You must know the owner,s have asked for no publicity and your near enough giving the location away, why?
I didn't know the owners had asked for no publicity, I'm not sure how I would know that having never met them? Having seen some places get spoiled by being plastered on social media I was careful not to mention the name of the place or giving any directions. I reckon if you can find it from the information in this video then you deserve to be there. I do appreciate your concern though and had I known the owners had specifically requested no social media I obviously would have respected that. Perhaps a wee note with the bothy rules would be wise
