Was it a difficult decision to weigh if a nine year old can understand the risks they take? I’ve taught kids to kayak, but I always wondered if it was a wise choice. I actually don’t know the statistics on paramotor casualties. I know skiing is often deadly and tons of kids do it.
Not really for me. It's about mental stability. No she will not likely fly for quite a few years. Kiting no problem but flying is a different thing. Plus a child might have the skills to fly but they are still not a pilot. So they should fly with an adult at all times. I've trained a lot of children. It's pretty easy for me to see who is mentally ready to fly vs who isn't. I train them to a much higher standard than adults and way over train them. My son who set the world record as the youngest pilot in history at age 10 could literally kite up a pole before he ever took his first flight. That is mastery level. You can see in the video there was no question that he was mentally ready. My younger son wasn't ready to fly until age 12. He simply wasn't ready when younger than that even though he had the skills.
@@DellSchanze interesting. I’m not mentally ready to fly, but the kiting on the beach and skill building interests me. It’s like bouldering compared to free climbing from the two inch screen I watch this all in. Maybe not a good comparison?
It is but you haven't finished SUPER training yet so of course you are not ready to fly. Good choice. So yes you assessed that correctly me thinks. :) lol. When you master the skills through SUPER training though your confidence and trust in the gear will be at a completely different level.
People take kids up in Cessnas for lessons, all the time. Kiting on the ground will set her up for flying success with paramotors, later, when she's ready.
It completely depends on the person as each person progresses at a different rate. Typical though would be to fly on day 6 or 7 of the 10 days. For kids we bring them to an even higher level of skills before we have them just and then mental stability and strength are also assessed as there are many critical characteristics for them to be a good safe pilot. SUPER training is the only school in the world really making sure people are only put in the sky when they are competent and safe to do so. Yes it's also possible to not fly at all. If someone isn't very coordinated and just doesn't get a solid mastery of basic glider control in the 10 days they would need to come back to another class. With SUPER training you only pay once though. You can come back through as many times as you like. You would of course have to cover your lodging and gear after the first class but the training would be free. SUPER Ray set a world record making tandem instructor level in just 4 days. On only day 4 of his SUPER training class he took my daughter up flying as his passenger. It's really incredible just how quickly people can progress with the best training in the world and piles of hours of practice in the perfect locations.
@@DellSchanze nice most of my hours are in single pipers and c 182 and 172 had a good amount of time on the controls of a kingair c90 and a bell jet ranger, kids and expenses put the flying to the side
Mark: She is a paramotor student. There are levels of being a student, and different skills to master. She is rocking her skills. The title is very accurate.
❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊 GREAT JOB !!!!!!
Very impressive

" 9 Year Old Paramotor Student Rocks Her SUPER skills!! " Where is the paramotor ? lol
Gotta master glider control before touching a motor.
@@DellSchanze That should be your title for the video
