We need working elevators and escalators, tracks and trains that don't break down, reopening and rebuilding the existing passageway to 6th Avenue. Not a Taj Mahal, but a fully ADA accessible station, with appropriate fast food, news stands, things for commuters, not a tourist destination. Just as important, we don't need lots of historic buildings destroyed, several office towers built (with no one to occupy them), pushing more homeless from where they get help INTO Penn Station, lots of viable housing destroyed. How many churches need to be demolished to satisfy realtors and the governor? When she took office, she said she would stop this insanity - now she expects to get campaign contributions for pushing it. It's pitiful that Channel 2 is falling for this BS.

We do need the Gimbels Passage rebuilt and reopened, vertically semi mobile cesspools replaced by modern, reliable elevators, in general much better and more complete ADA access, decent 'quick' food and news stands. I’m not a New Yorker but this facelift is DEFINITELY needed. Moynihan is what Penn Station should have always been. Yet for the last 60 years it’s been the basement of Madison Square Garden 🙄. Secondly and I know it’s a different project, but that tunnel between NJ & NY is priority unless both states want to invest in boats and shuttle buses to transport Amtrak & NJ transit riders across the Hudson or push people to use PATH trains to get into NY from NJ
