I have the newer HD60X because it’s the only external capture card that supports 1440p and 4K resolution passthrough while still recoding in 1080p. Also passing through 120hz refresh rates. I think it’s the best all all around purchase, and most full proof iteration of the HD60 they have. I play on a 1440p 120hz on PS5 and record and stream in 1080p 60 and it haven’t been happier.
I bought one when it came out. it was literally a scam and cash grab. They have hidden videos on their channel that show you how to do things with it that DO NOT WORK AT ALL. I'm guessing that's why they hid the videos.
I bought the 4k60S+ a fortnight ago, and I sent it back last week. I'd seen videos of it saying it could either work fine or have issues, mine had issues, the mic in wouldn't work and it turned itself off when it felt like it, couldn't be doing with that so back it went, got a full refund and then I bought the ClonerAlliance, it's thankfully much better but only one issue is I have is the noise from the mic at higher volume, other than that it's been good.
Great video. I personally went from the 4k60 Pro Mk2 to the Elgato HD60X. I feel it is a nicer capture card for external use over the HD60S+ and unlike the 4K60pro has VRR support as well as allows me to passthrough 1440p game play without any issues.
We just need a capture card with FULL HDMi 2.1 so we can finally capture/ passthrough 4K 120Hz. Blows my mind the 9th gen systems have been out for over 3 years and STILL nobody is producing HDMi 2.1 capture cards.
@@GamerHeavenOfficial you may have to update the firmware to enable vrr support as it didn’t come out of the box on mine. In my case their capture software just doesn’t seem to work so that’s points off for you I’m sure. But through obs it’s been nothing short of incredible
I have a question about internal capture cards that I'm hoping you'll be able to answer. If I'm vertical mounting a 4090 strix (pretty much the biggest GPU on the market) in an o11 dynamic evo case on a z790 hero motherboard, would that make it impossible for me to insert an internal capture card into one of the pcie slots?
I have their internal capture card in my pc and it’s amazing, and I use their external hd60s+ which is also amazing. Yeah this model left me a little disappointed
I watched your whole video and i was hoping you were going to address my biggest question but no. I bought this strictly for the Switch. How do I use my razor headset for audio and mic capture of my gameplay. I can't find a solution & I'm thinking of going back to recording my screen with my phone. Thanks.
Have you taken a look at the TUF GAMING CAPTURE BOX-CU4K30 yet?? I love mine, but I am probably using it at the most basic level for my Xbox Series X. I got it for its pass trough. I would love to know what you think.
I personally tried that around a year ago and it was working, but then I had lots of issues with the audio not syncing up. I am sure there have been plenty of updates to it though since then.
The pass through has been terrible for me. It's always 1-2 seconds behind my TV so I have to have my headphones on one ear and turn the TV volume up a little bit so that it won't pick up on the mic. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
The thing is, if you want to record the same pc you are playing on, you cannot do it, you have to get a second pc which will already get more expensive then buying this card which allows you to record to the SC card.

Exactly what I was commenting too. I love the HD60X over all the other Elgato capture options.
8:30 you can tonemap it using Davinci resolve

There's barley any games that even offwe 120fps.
The gray Is no filter, it is just hdr processed in sdt
Why not capture with the Elgato 4k60 pro? full 4k60 capture, and passthrough with HDR and VRR support plus much cheaper
That’s the next one getting reviewed 😁

How could so many of these features not be present? Isn’t this elgatos most recent product? I can’t believe the pass through is so ass. That’s nuts.

Great video. My recordings on card are washed out, you dont happen to know the colour space for 4k60s+ sdr recordings?
Are these pros and cons the same for internal elgato 4k60? If yes, then any other cards that get the job done without the need to upscale it to 4khdr?
anyone know if the 4K60 PRO has same less-than-perfect pass through quality please. great video thanks GH
I have been told the internal 4k60 pro does not have bad pass through quality
I have the version 1 of the 4k60 pro and have no issues. I would recommend just playing with it. Unplug/ plug in/ change cables
Can you game capture on old generation consoles?
Hey bro there's also an elgato 60HDX
I’m going to review that model soon 🙂

I’ll check it out

I have this issue playing 2k while streaming its always lagged on the tv I can’t time my shots
I would highly recommend using an internal capture card if you can.
Good call

OMG that does look like a hog shocker!
😂 yeah it looked like a cattle prod or some kind of zapping device
