I live in La Paz and you really should feel grateful to live in the USA. You have a lot of opportunities and access to different options of living. Most of all, you can travel within your country or go to whatever place you want to across the whole continent. The reason is simple, all Latin American economy relies on dollars and I guess that you have plenty. However, not everything is sad and black in my country. We live happiness differently and the only way to learn that is by coming over here. If you come here, take a lot of care cause people here are not naive. Wish you the best.

I love watching free documentaries about Bolivia. It gets me in touch with my culture, and seeing these cities bring back memories from when I was young and visited the country. I've only been able to go twice because it is so expensive, but through these documentaries I learn more about the country and places I definitely want to visit in the future!
@@GuiLOST-lz8su Obviously I'm talking about the flight process, I have to take 3 seperate planes. I'm aware that it's a poor country, I've literally been there and I'm half Bolivian 💀
@@gregrussell7821 Hi, I'm not really sure about the budgeting because I went when I was young, so it was paid for by my parents. I think Santa Cruz is probably more expensive because it is a bigger and more modern city. I went to Arampampa, a city up in the mountains. It isn't expensive there and there is beautiful nature, but there is a lot of poverty there so as a child coming from a Western country it was a very big culture shock. There weren't any hotels available, so we had to sleep with 6 in one bedroom. I don't know if this place is recommended for tourists either since I was told it could get dangerous, but I definitely recommend visiting a city up in the mountains with a native or tour guide because the you have to see the scenery there. I also went to Cochabamba, it's a very big city and there's lots to do there, I think this is maybe in the middle range. Not as expensive as Santa Cruz, but more expensive than Arampampa or any city high up in the mountains for that matter. I suggest you maybe look up more information on this topic, but these are some suggestions. Bolivia is a very beautiful country and I'm happy you get to visit it, definitely try to learn some basic Spanish if you haven't already, I'm sure the Bolivians will love it!

Bolivia is a beautiful place. I do wish that Documentaries were also made in other areas or neighborhoods such as Achumani, or Calacoto. Please look up other areas in Bolivia to truly see its other beautiful areas. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
This documentary is from 2005. Today, 2024, El Alto is a vibrant modern city and much larger than La Paz. La Paz is also modern, with the longest cable car lines in the world 🌍
the newer hills neighborhoods need to take a closer look at valparaiso, chile for a transportation solution. at least a partial solution. the landslides look worse to deal with in la paz though. the modern, colorful ayamara architecture style in el alto is awesome too.

La Paz is beautiful despite what anyone says to the contrary. Its history is long and runs deep intermingled with so many contributing factors that for better or for worse, and not always of their own making have made its people who they are.
