This is fun! I had a black 69 in HS 72. I loved that car,but was nothing like this one.I’d rather buy one of these than some exotic bs. Beautiful job guys!

I have these same Budniks on my 69 GTO. They're bronze though. This is the baddest 68 I've seen

This car is a million times better than what the factory built; better everything from the paint right through to the modern ignition and flow-through exhaust. What I bought in 1968 for $3500 could have been better but definitely wasn't.

YA had me right up to the LS, I understand why, but I still don't like it. I have a 68 with 535 Butler Motor blown E85, everyone is surprised it has a PONTIAC in it. No offence to Chevy guys I just couldn't do it. I have a boat that has a Chevy, a sandrail with a VW, I tow with a Dodge, drive a Mustang and race a PONTIAC--- My friends say I'm conflicted---I don't think so

Pulled mine out of a field in Odessa Texas at the being of Covid. Had been sitting since 2013. Very budget build. Just something for the family to do during the shut down. Lot of amazon china parts to get her running. Changes cheap parts out to good parts as I go. 1100hp WOW!! That's crazy. I want to dyno mine soon. Just added forged pistons to my 6.0L. Running 11lbs but creeps to 14lbs at times. Feels strong at 14lbs so very curious to how much power it is making. Dealing with oil pressure dropping low right now. It was fine for a week after dropping the motor back in with the new pistons and rods then all the sudden started dropping to 5-8lbs oil pressure at idle hot. I am hoping it is just the oil pump or I pinched the Oring and not something I did wrong with a main.
I installed a mechanical gauge to verify. I changed to a thicker oil and now it drops to 10-12psi at idle hot.
Car is always break fix and repeat lol.

@@dean7292 My GTO is on YT, Go to YT Type in Xbox Pickle Crew, then Videos the car is "WARHORSE"...The Vidoes
Good times, Emma's movie are of Us, there are more, I like the one where I'm racing the blue Mustang (forgive My Language) that is a Nasty Little Car(Super Charged) On your oil pressure, change the gauge and see what happens, I have Auto meter and the temp gauge was bad. It read 240deg I used my infer Red it was almost 40 deg off. Over the years I've learned to start with the cheap stuff ,then work up. An Old timer told me the more HP you make ,the bigger grenade you have, He was right, when it "Lets Go" it's ugly...Thanks for the Link

@@dennistaylor5052 I was going off the Holley Terminator read out for the gauge. Then I added a mechanical gauge and it read the same. I was really hoping it was a bad sensor as well.
The old man was exactly right!
I tell my son. The more you do to it the more you will have to do to it.

@@dean7292 Well I think the next step is to pull the motor and check the bearings, that sucks, if it isn't the bearings, I'd check the pump. Is it a fresh build??? I've ran a New Motor with break in oil and had it drop pressure but not that much, the oil was none detergent 30w, that was way back in the 70's with case rings. I think I read it's a LS, if so I know nothing about them other that they are a great platform, if it was a Pontiac It could be those "press in oil galley plugs popped out, I've seen that happen, that's why we "Tap" the plugs. Also if it has a "Solid cam" you would need Oil restricters in the Lifter bores. Like I said, if it's a LS I got noth'in...Good Luck... hope it doesn't cost alot... Keep in touch..."WARHORSE"...PS...If all else fails we can always "PUNT"

Why do people always want to ruin a good classic car with an LS swap? To each his own, but it is no longer a GTO. It's no different than taking a classic Harley Davidson and putting a Honda engine on it and still calling it a Harley. But that's just my view.
