Great video without a doubt one of the most informative videos I’ve ever seen it’s rare to see a professional car guy who is also great at explaining everything as he is working Thank you
I've always loved the GTO Judge, thanks for showcasing this gorgeous convertible!! Your knowledge of the restoration process & attention to detail is impressive!! 👍👍🙂
This is the stuff that got me hooked on what was then Discovery Theater and then Velocity. Since they switched to Motor Trend the only show I still watch is Chasing Classic Cars. I used to watch that network literally all the time thanks to shows like this. Thus is from 2005. Just wondering if Peters son is now in position to take over the business - he was learning well from Pops back then.
When one reaches a level of restoration such as this, you no longer have a ‘vehicle’, you have a form of ‘art’. Call them “trailer queens” or anything else, they’re not meant to be driven. Take them to shows as a testimony to the beauty of the automobile as an expression of man’s artistic talent.
So great to witness the highest quality restorations, attention to detail is everything, very well done, so interesting to watch, congratulations to those in the craft keeping these beautiful rolling pieces of art alive.
love how deep you go into the enduro bumper work- if you were to do the same job today, anything you would change based on product tech improvements available now? Always enjoyed this show and the way Peter explained things- basic, detailed, not the least condescending, and truthful. Looking forward to the newer stuff!
40 mins 20 ish seconds. it shows some of the black int. then it goes down the outside of the bucket. what do you see? Those are not 70 buckets, they have the side latches as the 67 and 68s had. strange the owner would go to so much trouble in detailing the car, then using different year seats. did anyone else catch this?
Typically when you disassemble the cars you can tell the orientation from which a part was hung. All of the raw front metal was flow coated with air curtains with the excess being recycled from the troughs below. FWIW for Corvettes in NCRS judging if you do not get the metallic content/ size as well as color correct and make the surface and application appear like original lacquer with the correct texture you are going to lose A LOT of points.
The floors at the beginning of the video were for an automatic transmission car, but you said the transmission numbers match the car, something not right
I hope you guys did not pay a ton for this 'incomplete' but very desirable (and legendary)muscle car. It was just a pile of junk parts until the real restoration work is done to make it uniquely what it was meant for.
I would love to see you redo A68G. TO heart top Force played with a 355 gear and a wearing Ram for motor well, white man and I'll be to wear them too. I'm sorry and give it a lot of horsepower.I'd love to see that
This is the reason why this shows always been my favorite. Peters such a great teacher.
Surprised they don't have more subs!
Perfect in depth presentation
Peter would of been an amazing teacher in another life.
It’s crazy too see a panel getting gas welded. Does he use a coat hanger too?? I love these episodes. Great too see.
Thankyou for all this detail on the rebuilding!
Great video without a doubt one of the most informative videos I’ve ever seen it’s rare to see a professional car guy who is also great at explaining everything as he is working Thank you
I watched this series when it first aired and it's just as interesting and valuable today. Top notch work and explanation! *****

It's such a fantastic show, thanks to the Legendary crew.

Absolutely beautiful!
So informative. You guys are awesome. The best place to buy a car.
2:30 Some of the parts probably went on Ebay to be sold as the car sat with no one watching.
Id love to see a 1970 Grand Prix SJ 428 4 spd restored
1st you got to find one, I had a 69 SJ but a automatic.
This guy is BADASS

Learned a lot from this video I have a65 lemans lm working on great info thanks for tutorial
Awesome video
Wow! Great car.
Excellent. Period.
No wonder body work can get so expensive! Lots of patience for these jobs!
I remember the Pontiac commercials in 69.They hit the nose of the car w/ a ballbat to demonstrate its flexability.
Why did you choose to gas weld the quarter, instead of tig?
Love the Orange it's so 70s
Take my 69 Custom Camino, Runs & drives
Just need to save it, minor rust, All complete ✅
How do i contact year one about restoring my car?
Klutt is the real deal
I wonder what the bill was?
4:25 Its an Acid Dip.
You can tell this was filmed in Canada, lots of snow!
Can't believe a body shop would strip that car & let it sit in the corner.Kind of a rookie mistake on a big $$ build.

I always wonder what the customer paid for this restoration ? Any guess's ?
No but I bet you could have bought a dozen or more when they were new with what it cost, if only I knew.
Personally... I'd have passed on this one 🇬🇧... after all we have German, French and British cars in need of TLC.
When are you going to start showing videos that are not 25 years old?
I hope you guys did not pay a ton for this 'incomplete' but very desirable (and legendary)muscle car. It was just a pile of junk parts until the real restoration work is done to make it uniquely what it was meant for.
Fast talker.
Unfortunately after this car is finished it’s going to be too valuable to drive on the street.
all the cars at Legendary are over restored trailer queens, and are slow as hell.
I'm sure there's a fly by night curb sider out there willing to take your money. Go for it.
