I’m hopeful Disney will plan 4 major expansions to Adventure World in the future: between the Lion King land and Arendelle, to the right of Arendelle, in the Cars Road Trip area which is surely temporary, and behind Avenger’s Campus including the stunt theater (which will certainly be removed one day).
I feel so sorry for the Paris parks. When they bother to get something new, it's always less than what it first seems. A NEW AVENGERS LAND!! (Crap rides.). A NEW FROZEN LAND!! (One ride, will take forever to build.) NEW THEMING!!!! (Mostly trees and paths.) NEW LION KING LAND!!! (Once again, one ride. Will probably open after you're dead.) STILL NO NEW RIDES FOR DISNEYLAND!!!! (Oh, you weren't supposed to notice that. NIGHTTIME SHOW! NIGHTTIME SHOW!!)
Indeed, Disneyland Paris is the forgotten child of the Disney Parks, incredible is how amazing it’s doing, beating all time records of revenue, profitability and attendance.
If you analyze Disney in Paris historically, it had 2 glorious moments: the opening of Euro Disneyland in 1992 (best Disney castle park ever) and the opening of Space Mountain in 1995 (unique ride in every way). Everything else was either lackluster or disappointing. WDS in 2002 was the worst Disney park ever. They even gave it the cheapest version of the ToT (although I personally love this ride). Ratatouille was very nice, but barely moved the needle. The same with the current expansion: absolutely necessary, but it's less than the bare minimum. And yet their prices keep on rising.
Ye I get what you mean, it can be frustrating, but even if it's only one ride in each area, it's still another thing to do, they can't really just quickly whip up new rides and new areas asap, lets just hope its earlier 2026 and not late

I believe alot of european disney fans are under the assumption Paris gets this little development because it's been underperforming since opening.
It's pretty rough being an EU disney fan atm. Frozen construction will be over 7 years by the time it's finished and 10 years from it's announcement. There's so much construction everywhere, but none of it is for new content, it's all just reconstructing aging infrastructure.
What are Disney managers thinking? Really??? Imagine any European family who's vacation budget is somewhere around EUR 5'000 for a theme park visit in 2025. - go to Disneyland Paris with tons of construction and one new nighttime show (no new ride) - go to Epic Universe with a new night-time show and a brand new world-class theme park (11 new rides)
Your efforts to advertise epic universe are admirable. But in europe the family that spends 5000€ for a themepark visit is more of a exception than a rule. A family may spend a week in paris and may visit for one day DLP. Aside from themeparks what has Orlando to offer?

Calculate it: what does a one-week theme park family vacation cost? (4 people, incl. 2 days of travel for arrival and departure by air) My point is valid - and yes: Universal's own stats already confirm this scenario. This is one of the reasons why they are planning a UK expansion.
You don't need 5000 euros to visit the Disney parks in Paris 😂 my total trip with 5 persons in a Disney accommodation for 4 days is around 1700 total...

In a real scenario, a family of 4 pays for a 5-day-Newport Beach hotel at DLP incl. park, food, snacks, tips, transfers + souveniours around 4500€ (not including flights) If they want a 1-day premier access, it's an additional 500€. These are real world facts that the majority of families see. Most likely, this is also the reason why WDW attendance suffers. People have made similar calculations and wait for a few more months to experience more for less at Epic Universe....
They need to turn Videopolis into a new indoor ride. And return Space Mountain to its former From The Earth To The Moon glory - including the smoking barrel.
That or a Journey to The Centre of The Earth ride. Or even a version of Flight of Passage. But Videopolis NEEDS to go. That should be a ride, not a bad quick service in an empty, unused theatre.
I think the announcements are solid for Paris however Lion King should be in the main park next to the Lion King show. The area passed Big Thunder has nothing and is in desperate need for something. Would have fit perfect there just like splash was planned in 1996! Moana should have been the 3rd new World built next to Frozen and have it be a roller coaster similar to Everest in Animal Kingdom. Overall once again the main park is neglected of a new land or ride and we get yet another new nighttime show.
Whilst I am happy for clarification on the studios, though I'm wondering why 2026, it is getting a bit ridiculous now that Disneyland park hasn't changes at all.
Construction is set to end in late 2025. You still need to test everything out, train cast members on the ride, prepare the shows, do the finishing touches, clean the whole thing and so much more before the previews begin. The previews then take a long while, with media and cast member previews. After that it's the middle of winter, Disney probably doesn't want to open a huge area such as this during the winter, so they wait for Spring. That's my take on it.
WaterDrones can start and land in water and potentially they will light up the water and restart from the water... it would be a blast. See you 2026 again in Paris!
It'll be interesting to see what kind of water drones they use. I could see it go two different ways, either being drones with a spotlight under/ on the water or a larger barge style drone above the water, something similar to Animal Kingdom's Rivers of Light
I wonder if they’ll keep the projection show on tower of terror when the lake show opens. Similar to how they do Fantasmic and the projection show in Hollywood Studios
The lake will have plenty of space to accommodate the crowds, it's in fact one of the better things of the shows playing on the lake! It'll be quite a long walk from that side of the park to the exit though haha
I think Disney kinda messed up at Paris. I mean Paris had the Olympics and Disney was seemingly absent. I think that the Olympics were the golden oppurtunity to revitalize the parisian resort. I don't think it is that bad that the main park doesn't get any updates. The current leadership tends to do controversial descisions at their american park. I mean we can perfectly judge Bob Igers influence on the parks. If we are going to make another Disneypark ranking, then it is interesting where DLP lands. In theory a park that has not gotten any investment in decades should be worse than a park that has gotten investment regularly. No matter what one may think about Bob Iger. But his efforts to fix the second park should be encouraged. The frozen land and the lion king will greatly improve this park. Will it be enough? I don't know.
The Olympics is a reason to avoid the parks. You could have expected more people in the park. Turns out Olympic viewers don't really care about Disney parks. The lion king ride looks boring from the outside and looks like a splash mountain clone. At least they're smart enough to increase capacity with the boats. A Coco ride would have made more sence. The water taking you to the underworld, you can have a little square with a mariachi animatronic band and it would do great with halloween. Also a nice mexican restaurant and possible expansion with an Indiana Jones ride...And it will need an other attraction because who's gonna ride that in winter? That erea is going to be dead
I was quite disappointed about the lack of Space Mountain at D23. Hopefully the rumoured retheming still happens!
