This is EXCELLENT news!! Paris desperately needs a GOOD water ride!!! Very happy that Paris is getting this Lion King Land in addition to Frozen!! (both desperately needed additions!). …….and it appears there is ANOTHER expansion land area to the right of Frozen, another exciting, eventual expansion!! 👍👌😁

My only real concern with this is that it's yet another whole new area that will just feature 1 e-ticket attraction. These areas need smaller rides too, to ease the queues on the bigger rides.

I’m also surprised to see how tall pride rock looks, especially compared to the frozen mountains. Makes me wonder if their main goal is to have the lake surrounded by mountains. Possibly leading to avatars floating mountains or the cars land rocky backdrop. I’m glad to hear they’re starting construction on LK next year, rather than waiting for frozen to finish. I’m incredibly excited for this ride, but I do feel like adventure world is becoming a mix of very different themes. Which is ok, but what could be left for a possible 3rd park?
Completely euphoric when they announced all of this. A little bit disappointed by the opening date (year) for the World of Frozen. Finally Disneyland Paris got the projects it deserves to receive. Yet, it is not enough and years will fly before the DAW project comes to an end to finally focus on Disneyland Park and then, potentially on the third park 🤞 We’ll have to be patient… Great video ✨❤️
So happy to see some attention on DLP from D23! Really hoping they expand on the Lion King area with the festival of the lion king show coming over as well as maybe a Jungle Cruise style ride in the future, super excited for the future of the Resort. Was hoping for a Disneyland Park ride announcement though!
Still sad that rock n rollercoaster and the backlot tour is gone. I always wanted to go there as it felt like old Disney Hollywood studios again. At least tower of terror from DCA (my home park) is still there.
You know, normally i would be excited about that, but with six years since the announcement of the investment and still two years to go till frozen opens i just don't see this ever being build. They don't even gave a timeframe. It could be another eight years till this opens.
Construction is starting next year. The problem with frozen was the time it took for the construction to start, which only did in 2022. That’ll be 4 years for a HUGE expansion and retheme of existing parts of the park.
Great news for the studios park, slightly wished they had put a carrousel in the land as a second attraction with the vrious characters that you can sit on. One scene would love to see is the stampede scene and maybe they could use a tube style screen which could make it feel as if its going faster then it really is, and be totally immersive.
Congrats Disney - you’re the Mercedes of theme parks when it comes to quality and innovation. Adventure Bay with both new lands (Frozen and Lion King) look excellently conceived. The attention to detail, scope and design prestige of these developments is exactly what the Studios park in Paris needs. These beautiful new areas, attractions, will transform this park. The art nouveaux restaurant and facilities around the lake look very elegant. They’re a great fit for France too. The views over the bay should be stunning. Even the main promenade paving stones look very high end. The whole project gives the park a heart, a classy and impressive center which should be a lovely place to stroll around. Along with new water shows on the lake it’s going to dramatically improve the guest experience. We know the Frozen area will be amazing as we’ve seen it in HK. The Lion King is very exciting, will draw people all over the world to visit this exclusive ride. The ambition and size of this ride is fantastic. WDS park needs a major, one-of-a-kind, ride. Now that Inside Out 2 and Deadpool have made billions, please plus the ride / interior scenes as much as you can. Don’t skimp or save. To conclude, massive well done Disney! So excited to see all this love coming to my nearest, favourite, Disney resort… boy will it fix that park, nobody will be calling it the worst Disney park anymore!!
Great video and update. However I think this land should have gone into Disneyland park. Which would end the almost 20 year wait for something new! Cars Road trip should be flattened it’s simply not up to any Disney park standards. Incredibles ride possibly a coaster similar to guardians tech and Coco ride (similar ride system to flight of passage) going on the right hand side to complete Worlds of Pixar. Honestly im surprised that a Lion King themed land and ride doesn't exist at Disney's Animal Kingdom. They should definitely add something like this there but I guess it just makes to much sense to add a Lion King land or ride in that Theme Park.
Loved experiencing getting the rumours from you and then reality a few weeks later at D23! 🙌 AH! That is so good to hear that it IS the animated classic version of The Lion King - my reaction was... quite horrified at seeing the CGI beasts haha!
Nope, that space will be turned into a small forest. Because the government gave Disney permission to get rid of most of an existing forest on the other side of the parc, Disney has to plant a new forest in return. It'll be a nice green barrier between Lion King and Frozen.
The lion king land looks fine. It is not the most ambitious land from the outside. I mean we get a mountain and some wooden buildings. Disney has committed to a timeframe. Tom on WDWNT was informed via Disney’s media list team that everything shown in that presentation was “in active development and will be completed in 5 years.” He spoke about that in the live stream he did after the event. So in 5 or less years we will have that ride completed!
Indeed, however that isn’t exclusive to this particular expansion, meaning it could (and should) be ready before that! I’m predicting 2028, depending on how long the works take to start. Permits should be on their way soon though!

The whining about how long these rides take to build needs to end. These are rides that'll be around for decades. Let's them take the time to do it right.

Well...first they announced Galaxys Edge for Paris, which would have been a great place for many adult guests. But nooooo....lets build a lion king area with a rock, a river and a lame water ride. I'm deeply disapointed. I think Paris is a kind of step child for Disney. Either they get no new attractions or they get the same attractions like the US parks but in a cheaper or in a shitty version. (e.g. the slinky coaster). They need some attractions like Pirates of the Carribean in Shanghai.
I have so much beef with this First, this is the wrong park for a Lion King land (the correct park would be Animal Kingdom) Second, if Disney creates this land, why not also move the Lion King musical into the Lion King land???

@@leewhite82 that might be it 😂
In all seriousness, in a more “regional” park, since it’s smaller, it’s ultimately easier to build something. A company like Disney has the imagineering teams in Paris, that submit things to the American teams, which get approved my countless people and this before even starting construction.
I think it‘s a bit disappointing, considering it replaced an already announced land, and califronia adventure got 1 plus, 2 avengers rides and the coco ride
Unfortunately Disneyland Paris will always get less attention than the US parks...
Very underwhelming tbh. Frozen is taking way too long to build, no news of any star wars attraction either
I have so much beef with this
First, this is the wrong park for a Lion King land (the correct park would be Animal Kingdom)
Second, if Disney creates this land, why not also move the Lion King musical into the Lion King land???
Who says they won't move the show there?
I agree with Animal Kingdom being the better fit as a park, however super glad Paris is getting such big investment....and then again.... maybe Lion King will sooner or later make it to Animal Kingdom too.
@@88tibro Who says that they won't move the show? Well, this either implies that Disney made a half-baked announcement/model or that Disney failed to mention the upgrade to DLP's best show (aka a marketing flop).
The possible answers to your question imply a certain level of incompetence at Disney...
It took you over 2 minutes to get to news. Need to get to the point sooner
It’s kinda 25 years too late. Remember that there were rumors that they build a lion king attraction in Paris when i was a child. Now I would prefer a Luca, Encanto or Inside Out Ride.
Yeah.
