The single most important factor that made me choose the propeller vs the hobie paddle was the instant reverse. Theres nothing like fishing a dock and a big fish start pulling you towards the dock. You can handsfree start pedaling backwards and save yourself from smashing into the dock.

I made a mistake and said Das King kayaks were made in Korea. They are in fact made in Taiwan.

I have a bonafide SS127, Going to buy the P127, and I'm a big bike rider... Do you like the P127?

Indeed! The P127 is a good-looking machine! I have not had the privilege of paddling it and I've never owned a yak longer than 10.5 feet, so the P127 is a good bit longer. From the Bonafide website, it looks like an enticing and well-performing craft ... if you have the budget! Good choice!

Propeller is just a big weed catcher . Good luck going 6 mph with weeds

Good point! Technically, you're right, but that's a simplistic view of the situation. For example, it's not hard to avoid most weeds by steering around them or pedalling backwards to stop quickly with a pedal kayak. Then, if the weeds are heavy, you can take your feet off the pedals and just swing it up in front of you and take the weeds off. If there are tons of weeds and you really want to go through them, that's the time to use the paddle (included with all pedal drive kayaks on the market) like you would on a regular kayak.
