He’s broke, his life is falling apart, he has zero friends, his dog died a few months ago, he had just comeback after being possessed and trapped in the scrapbook for awhile, and his only chance to get his life back together is to get the manuscript to the book people, so, it’s not THAT dumb when you consider how his life is going
